During the first week of each month, we will post a new question, topic, or activity for you to connect with the community and earn a badge. All community members who contribute a thoughtful comment to this month’s discussion, between August 1 and August 31, will receive this badge worth 40 points.

Got any furry friends? Maybe some with scales? Tell us about them! We're sure the XM Community is home to an assortment of pets, all over the world, and we want to get to know them! Whatever your pet is, we know they mean a lot to you! All pets are welcome here, in the XM Community!
Bibi is our rescue dog--we think she's a poodle mix. She loves the water!

Finally, to represent the chickens, this is Mistletoe (my frizzled Serama).
These were my sweet Maine Coon twin brothers, Rocky (Front) & T-Bone (Back). They both crossed the Rainbow Bridge over the last 2 years, but I'm grateful we had them for 15/16 great years. 
This past year is the first time in my life that I've never had a pet. Definitely a hard adjustment!
This is Jelleebean! She spends a lot of time rolling around on the ground like this but I’ve learned the hard way that it is NOT an invitation to rub her belly 
. 
Pets are family and their losses are felt deeply. When the time is right, I am sure another dog will step in and bring joy to your life again! Dogs always have a way of finding their way to the right people at the right time 
We'll certainly get another pup at some point in the not too distant future. The household isn't quite the same without a furry friend hanging around

Better late than never! Here are my two dogs. Zoey (left) is a 4 month old mini Goldendoodle and Kaylee (right) is a 14 year old Silky Terrier. This is as close as Kaylee will let Zoey get to her, and I don't blame her because Zoey pounces on her head a lot. Puppy needs to learn some manners! They are both named after characters in the short lived TV show "Firefly". Does anyone else know that show, or am I that old? :)
The picture of the dark ferret is Lily my furret dedicated last year who gave me the strength to persevere during my studies. The second one is Aya (country) who is 2 years old and with whom I'm starting my new career at Qualtrics!
We have 7 Great Pyrenees. This is one of the 7 - Duke - my sweet heart and the leader of the pack to protect cows, chickens, ducks anything on farm. He is now 6 years old retried LGD; one of his favorite things is to get into truck for a ride to town. Getting an ice cream treat is a bonus by default when we are in town. He has been spoiled for sure. 
And these are the ladies... Luna, Gigi, and Feetsie (who has 6 toes).. all rescues.
