https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/52869#Comment_52869I 10000% agree 😂. I grew up in New Jersey (where winter is a real season - snow and all), but my parents moved to South Carolina in the last couple of years. I find it disorienting to see all of the palm trees and grass in December

My favorite tradition is to go to my grandmothers house and decorate all her house with crhistmas Christmas things, and mainly making the manger or the villa, with cardboard houses, little characters and even a lake (which we do with a mirror and ducklings), it's great, a display of creativity that I love

PXL_20211127_015459209.jpgSnapchat-186431389.jpgMy favorite Christmas tradition is getting a real tree with my husband and celebrating the season at multiple family gatherings.

I'm excited to start a new tradition this year. We will start cutting of part of the tree trunk and making them into ornaments to cherish for years to come.

For me, it's our "official" kick off of the holiday season with the annual Elf viewing after our Thanksgiving dinner.

Our traditions are changing as my oldest daughter and her new husband live 4.5 hours away and my youngest is graduating from college in May. We are trying to make new traditions that will continue with us through this next phase of life. We did start the season off right with a viewing of Christmas Vacation at Thanksgiving!!

Grandparents spend the night on Christmas Eve so that they can be there when the grandkids wake us up at 4 am (even at 12 years old, lol), then we all take naps, eat breakfast, maybe another nap, then start getting ready for the afternoon when the house fills up with additional loved ones. We cook, talk, laugh, and take family pictures (attempt to anyway). It is an absolutely awesome and blessed day!

There is a movie called Nativity 2 Danger in the Manager starring David Tennant (from Doctor Who) and Marc Wooton that my boys and I watch without fail every year. Its about a school teacher that gets dragged across the the UK with the principal's crazy nephew and all the kids to perform in a Christmas concert. Mr Poppy is hilarious and there is some great different christmas music performed by the kids too. (There is a Nativity 1 and Nativity 3 but this one is the best!) The other tradition is we put a Santa hat on the top corner of the TV and when a person is on the side of the screen and it looks like they are wearing the hat, we give a cuddle to the person next to us. (It actually is a drinking game but I turned it into a kids game!)

My family and I love to do Stocking Stuffers. We start with the more practical items like pocket tissues, travel shampoo, and gum. But then we also like to find something silly for each person for a good laugh.
When Frozen II came out, my parents got me a little Olaf toy because he says "Samantha?" when he looks in the hole during the movie, and that is my name. Since then, it has been a fun little game to pass the Olaf to another family member, but they don't know which family member gets it until stockings are opened. So now, Pass the Olaf, is part of our stocking stuffers tradition!

My favorite tradition for my family is when we decorate the tree. We play holiday music, put a YouTube fire on the TV, and the kids drink sparkling grape juice while we all decorate the tree!

It is really hard to pick just one favorite Christmas tradition, because we have a lot of traditions in Colombia… I would say that my favorite one is “Las novenas”, it is a 9 day tradition in which everyday between the 16th and the 24th, you get together with your family or friends every day to perform some prayers, songs and Christmas carols. It is common during these days that in the house that "La Novena" is held, typical Christmas foods are offered such as Natilla, buñuelos and hojuelas.

Mi tradición favorita de navidad es compartir en familia y como trabajo en FEMSA, disfruto mucho ver los promocionales de Coca Cola con Santa Claus, es algo tipico de la navidad para mí.

My favorite tradition is when my little sister goes to sleep waiting for el "Niño Jesús" (a.k.a Santa Claus) to deliver the gifts under the tree
