❄️ Holiday Traditions | Badge of the Month | December 2022

One of my favorite moment in December is the day we go choosing our Christmas tree.
After a hard job to find the right day (looking for enough time between ice hockey games and other activities is really difficult), all the family go to the plantation.
We are welcomed by Santa and go for a ride with the elves into the forest. Let me says this elves are strongly built... larger and taller than me for most of them ! It so fun to see strong guys in their Christmas elf suit. 🤣
Then, the game begins. We spread around, looking for the perfect tree. He should be the good size, healthy, well proportioned...
My sons (I've got 4) compete to find the chosen one. My spouse and I look at each tree and give our opinion. After a long time and many candidates, We finally reduce the choice to 2 or 3 finalists and we debate altogether to decide the great winner for the year. Then we call an elf to cut the tree and bring it back to the entrance.
They wrap our tree and I put it on top of the car and we enjoy a hot chocolate with Santa near the stove in the barn.

My favorite part of the Christmas holidays is when the whole family gathers in the northern parts of Sweden for some quality time together. Usually, we are hitting the slopes every day and eat festive meals during these couple of days.

My favorite part of Christmas is a night call "Noche de velitas" in Colombia, we light candles making wishes with our families and eat buñuelo and natilla (colombian food).
