I am not a big-time horror movie fan. I'm not sure if the movie that terrified me the most is considered as a horror film. I had nightmares for months after seeing JAWS in the 4th grade! When they played the cinematic music as he was coming with his fin above water, it always ended badly for someone!

I love any book by Agatha Christie for spooky season 🙂 Some are especially good for right now like And Then There Where None.
I have a toddler at home so I don't watch too much that's spooky currently. We are more into collecting leaves and enjoying fall weather.

I love this season and designing my own costumes. I'm not a fan of the horror theme, however sometimes you get caught in the flow and this month I started the Spanish serie Alma, it has given me some scares, but I am enjoying it

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/50733#Comment_50733Spot on Michael_Cooksey! Although St. Maarten is not considered a particular opportunity to enjoy a nice glas of wine 🍷 in the Netherlands, I do recall the Beaujolais Nouveau 🍇coming out around this time of year when I lived in Marseille and quickly discovering it was not my cup of tea☕️

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/51095#Comment_51095I think I would better have done the same with Game of Throne...

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/51099#Comment_51099I'm almost done -- only two episodes to go! I stopped because another season of Unsolved Mysteries came out on Netflix and I had to binge those, first 🤯

Always going to be a classic bit of Shaun Of The Dead for me.
Sometimes in life it is good to just go have a pint and wait for all of this to blow over 😅!

One more vote for Stranger Things - definitely my favourite spooky series.

I have to watch at least a few of the Halloween series films. Just something simplistic about Michael Meyers. I'm the only one in my realm of people that is into horror. Also, The Omen is a classic.
Stranger Things to me is Sci-Fi, not horror but I understand what is a little spicy to me is napalm to others.

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/50338#Comment_50338I actually am obsessed with this show and think it's hilarious! You are the only person I know who watches it too! 10/10 Amazing show!

I try to avoid all things scary...which is why Hocus Pocus is my go-to Halloween movie (and I'm looking forward to watching Hocus Pocus 2 this month!)
I do watch a lot of true crime though, and that is scary on a whole different level...so eventually I'll get around to watching Dahmer.
And although it's probably not scary at all, my plan this Halloween is to watch Ghostbusters (because I've never seen it, and it's a classic, right?!) 😄

aldryn_vega I love that series! I cannot watch those movies alone at all - I need a light on and a movie buddy 😂

MelissaW I don't know about you but The Nightmare Before Christmas used to give me a whole lot of scary nightmares as a kid 😂 🍅

Nightmare on Elm Street is a very scary movie. It dives into dreams and how dreams can be real which is a scary thought. All of the Freddy Krueger movies are scary to be honest. If you haven't seen this movie, you should watch it and be ready to lose some sleep that night.

I love the classics - Halloween series and anything Stephen King.

Just like most people Stranger Things Season 4, was just dark in a new way. Lovecraft Country did it for me with the creepy factor and it was very entertaining, I was super sad 😥about not having a season two. One for me as a kid, I watched Event Horizon at a sleepover and that stayed with me for years lol. My mom will still tease me to this day about that movie. 😂

image.pngEnded up rewatching the entire series of Dexter in order to watch the reprise Dexter, New Blood. The original series was a strangely deep commentary on vigilante justice, and the new season made years later tried to bring closure to a few open questions the many fans had. It took a wild twist to end the show that so many did not want, but was also "right" in its own way. This show is spooky because they tried to make viewers empathize with a serial killer. I used to enjoy horror movies a long time ago, but stopped watching. This show was the first thrilling story in a long time that I watched because it did portray a character that truly struggled with right versus what felt right to them which I think is a common human experience. One of my main take aways from this show is not that vigilante serial killing should be praised, but people genuinely wrestle with deep mysterious parts of who they are.

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/50558#Comment_50558The ending of New Blood is crazy - but very fitting compared to the original Dexter finale. I was a huge fan of Dexter and remember being really disappointed by the series finale. I am so glad that they added to the end of the story with New Blood 😍

House of Leaves by Danielewski is unlike anything you've ever read before and contains the scariest scene I've read.

how could I forget the Blair Witch Project 🫣 thanks for reminding me CarolK! Come to think of it, seeing The Exorcist (not when it came originally out 😄) was pretty scary too!

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/50340#Comment_50340I totally agree. Nothing says scary like the best take on the 'Scary Parody' than this classic. I watch it at least 3 times every year in the fall. No matter how many times I watch it, there is always another gem that I catch. I'm sure I take a secret pleasure in laughing at the absurdity of "collective idiots" that are found in every one of Mel Brooks' movies.

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/50586#Comment_50586So true. It was unwanted by many, but like you said felt fitting. So many other opportunities left open though!

I am not into scary movies at all. In fact, I'm not into anything spooky. Black Bird on Apple TV was enough scary and suspense for me these days.
