@Link - I'm not sure if there is a character limit on Embedded Data. You could try shortening the file to see what happens or try using the Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData() function with a hard-coded value instead of the result from the .csv file to see if you can set the Embedded Data field that way.
Have you created the embedded data variable in the Survey Flow screen (see the screenshot for an example)? I'd recommend putting the embedded data block at the very top of the Survey Flow, so it is the first thing that is executed when a respondent takes the survey. ! I'm definitely not a Javascript expert but I imagine you could use the console in your web browser to do some troubleshooting. I typically use embedded data variables for testing because you can quickly complete a survey using the preview mode and then inspect the variables to see the result.

Using the code below, I am able to read the contents of a .csv file in my library and store the content to an embedded data field called 'csvFile'. Hi @Pei_2009! You'll need to restructure the JSON file but there are a couple of options for generating a survey in Qualtrics using an import process: 1.) Import using a text file. This support article describes this process. 2.) Use the Qualtrics API. The Create Question API is a good place to start.
@MattRobinson - Gotcha. Is it possible for you to set up the V3 version of the API call assuming that the source file is QSF format and then test if that works? If it does work, you can probably safely assume that the undocumented string '[[AdvancedFormat]]' indicates QSF. Sorry, I don't have any examples of V2 api.
@MattRobinson - what file format do you intend to use when importing the survey? And, can you confirm that that API you're trying to use is: https://api.qualtrics.com/reference#import-survey-1 ?
Hi @joanne_ong - attached, please see a python snippet I've used in the past to update responses. You'll need to make some minor updates based on specifics for your use-case. The snippet assumes you've prepared a .CSV file with a column named 'ResponseId' and also subsequent columns with the names of the embedded data fields you want to update. Please use caution and test thoroughly when mass-updating responses using the API!

Hi @Nico_Leussink! You're on the right track with the Web Service but the configuration is missing a couple of pieces. The Update Response API documentation shows that two parameters are required (In addition to including the response ID in the URL, as you have done already): 1) surveyId 2) embeddedData To add these to your Web Service block, you'll want to set it the 'Body Parameters' section as seen below. According to the documentation, the 'embeddedData' parameter is structured as a JSON object, so that's why it has the curly braces around the content (e.g., {"sts": "Test"}. ! I also recommend capturing the HTTP response variables as you can see in the 'Embedded Data' section of the Web Service block. These will capture the HTTP response from when the Web Service fires and store it on the survey response that triggered the Web Service. This can be useful for troubleshooting purposes. Below, you can see what this looks like in the response data. ! I hope that helps!
Hi @brianyearling! One approach would be to use JavaScript to determine the week number. First, add an embedded data field (e.g., 'weekNumber') to the Survey Flow. It is recommended to put this at the very top of the survey flow so that the field is available to be set by the Javascript. Next, add the following JavaScript to a question in the survey where you want the week number to be captured. I've used the embedded data field called 'weekNumber' here but you can update the JavaScript to refer to whatever you decide to call your embedded data field. ```javascript Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() { Date.prototype.getWeek = function() { var onejan = new Date(this.getFullYear(), 0, 1); return Math.ceil((((this - onejan) / 86400000) + onejan.getDay() + 1) / 7); } var weekNumber = (new Date()).getWeek(); Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('weekNumber', weekNumber); }); ```

Hi @troysadkowsky! You should be able to use the Create Question API to configure the question, including display logic. If you have questions about how to configure the call to the 'Create Question' API, you can configure a survey question within the UI and then use the Get Question or Get Block API and review the data in the response body to get an idea of how the question can be configured via the API.

@Rod_Pestell that's a lot of survey questions! I've never tried what you're suggesting. Totally a guess, but my hunch is that it wouldn't work because the Look and Feel might be rendering separately from the survey flow logic.

Regarding question 2), once the image has been uploaded to the 'Graphics Library' in Qualtrics, you can navigate to the image and click the gear icon to retrieve the URL (see the screenshot below). ! For your questions 1) and 3), this will likely require custom CSS. See this post for some high-level guidance on how to approach this.
Hi @PaulGerrans, There is a feature built into the product which allows you to change validation messages for a variety of situations (response required, minimum/max character counts, etc.). Hi @Rod_Pestell! The typical best practice to tracking progress through the survey is to use embedded data fields to capture certain points along the way (screenshot 1). ! However, as you have pointed out, this won't work for surveys using the Table of Contents feature where a respondent can skip from section to section. In this case, I would recommend adding Javascript to each question that will keep track of a respondent's path through the survey by appending the question number to a string stored in an embedded data variable.
