@tservinsky, the last time I used it was August 2023.
There is another workaround, when you create an email distribution group, you can download the history of that group (Select Survey > Distributions tab > Email > above the table, right corner “Distribution history” link). This link will download a CSV file. That file will have a column called “Link” that contains the link used for the email distribution. You can reuse that distribution link for the other distribution methods. But you need to change the end of the link from &Q_CHL=email to &Q_CHL=(name of distribution method goes here).
Thank you @bstrahin for that lovely answer. It helped me out with the same issue.
I figured it out! I need to select “Show to respondents” for each translation.Click the vertical ellipsis next to the translation. Select “Show to respondents”. The “Visible to respondents” column should update from No to Yes. Repeat for each translation.
https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/49764#Comment_49764Thanks TomG. That would solve my problem, but it creates a new problem, a messy directory with duplicate contacts.Fortunately, I missed an important tip in the documentation, "...you do not need [an embedded data survey flow] element to use embedded data in piped text, branches, or display logic." I only need the data for the piped text, not the analysis, so I don't need to mess with the directory.Again, thanks for you help TomG, I wouldn't have discovered the tip if I hadn't tried testing your suggestion.
If you don't want to use the API, here is how you get a list of all survey titles:Go to the Admin page.Click on Activity.Click on Export.Go to Your Downloads.Download the report.
I think I figured this out. The problem is that the preview's opt-out link doesn't have identifying information in it, so the unsubscribe page doesn't know who is unsubscribing. This makes sense because it is a preview email. You don't want preview emails to alter your contact's opt-in status.I tested this theory by sending my self a distribution that was not a preview. The opt-out link looked like this:http_s://[Redacted]/CP/Register.php?OptOut=true&RID=[lots of characters]&LID=[more characters]&DID=[even more characters]&BT=[just a few characters]&_=1The preview's opt-out link looked like this:http_s://[Redacted]/CP/Register.php?OptOut=true&RID&LID&DID=[lots of characters]&BT=[just a few characters]&_=1I assume that the RID and LID parameters are the IDs that the opt-out page needs to successfully unsubscribe the recipient. Not having them results in the #Registration, RequireRecipientID# error.
