I am exposing participants to one of the 3 conditions randomly. Each condition uses a different name for the person involved in the condition (e.g., John, Jim, or Jeff). Later on, I am asking specific questions regarding the behaviour of John, Jim, or Jeff depending on the condition the participant was exposed to. Currently, I am creating 3 different blocks. However, was wondering if there is a way to show the name John, Jim, or Jeff (depending on the condition exposed earlier) in each question using some combination of piped text and display logic?Much appreciate expert help!
I’m setting up a survey with heavy custom CSS.But when validation error message appears kinda mess up with my theme. It changes the question background and stuff. So how can I customize the validation error message and the question background error look?
HiI am new to the Qualtrics Survey Plattform. I thus hope this is not an obvious question.I would like to suppress a certain question in Qualtrics for some respondents (display-logic). This question asks for information that we already have from certain participants. The question should therefore only be displayed to those from whom we do not yet have the information. We have a file (csv, xlsx) that lists for each unique participant ID whether we already have the information or not.Is it possible to upload this file to Qualtrics? Is there a way to then make Qualtrics search this file for the ID of the current participant and then decide whether to display the question (0) or not (1) based on the value stored (1=we already have the information, 0=we don't have the information yet)?Would it be possible to implement such a "look-up” function natively? Or do you need custom javascript for that? Or is that not possible at all?I would appreciate an answer
I have a side-by-side table that calculates inputs and provides a total. What I can’t seem to get to work is the ability to calculate decimals. It always seems to ignore it. I’ve been trying to replace: function getVal(val){ var num = parseInt(val); if(isNaN(num)) {num = 0;} return num;}; With both: function getDouble(val){ var num = parseInt(val); if(isNaN(num)) {num = 0;} return num;};function getFloat(val){ var num = parseInt(val); if(isNaN(num)) {num = 0;} return num;}; But it will still treat the inputs as integers or completely break and cause the side-by-side to do nothing. A lot of my code is from a user named bstrahin in their post linked here: The only difference is that I’m multiplying between two columns, the color changes depending on the value for the grand total, and I have two different grand totals. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I can’t determine why this issue occurs.
I copied a survey and read that if the original was deleted, then the copy would be deleted as well. Can someone please confirm or deny that? Thank you!
Hi All,I’m trying to add space between my MC text box entry options and I have tried javascript, custom css and html but it does not seem to work. I increased space to “60” instead of 10 in the following code nd tried to “no wrap” otpion as well. Highlighted what I’ve been tryin to change. Does not help does someone know how to fix the code in Qualtrics? I’m not a coder. this was off some community posts. Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() { // Adjust the following value (in pixels) to control the space between the options var spaceBetweenOptions = 10; // Create a style tag and add it to the head of the document var styleTag = document.createElement('style'); styleTag.type = 'text/css'; document.head.appendChild(styleTag); // Add CSS rules to the style tag to increase the spacing between the options var css = ''; css += 'div[id^=QID][id$=_MC] .q-checkbox, div[id^=QID][id$=_MC] .q-radio {'; css += ' margin-bottom: ' + spaceBetweenOptions + 'px;'; css += '}'; css
