Hi, Can a question in the below format be created in Qualtrics survey designer? The initial 2 columns are for numeric values that will sum total to 100 for each statement if answered. In a scenario, if the respondent is unable to answer that, they can select Don’t know which is exclusive for each row statement. There are 2 sets of validation that is applicable here and I am not able to find a method to do that. Any suggestions will be helpful.
Is there a way to add a requirement to make a Constant sum question mandatory answering irrespective of the Total sum? Unlike other questions, there seems to be no setting to do this in a constant sum question. Right now if the Total sum is not set, a respondent can move to the next question without answering it. The custom validation also doesn’t seem to provide the right options to apply this setting. Any suggestions?
I have a numeric list question with 10 options and the sum of the total should equal 100%. I want to find the maximum value entered in this list. Is there a math function to identify that? If not, is there an alternative method to do so?
For one of my online campaigns, I am capturing the program name from a parameter in a URL and storing it in an embedded data field. Based on the data that is captured a single choice question in the survey has to be coded automatically. E.g. The embedded data field 'ProgramName' has the data 'Program1'. Based on this the option Program1 in a single-choice question (as shown below) should be auto-coded.What is the name of your program?Program1Program2Program3I assume JavaScript code would be required. Hi ,I have created a bipolar question with a 7 point scale. But the width of the container holding the question body does not increase automatically and the horizontal scroll bar seems to show up. I understand that to remove the scrollbar Javascript has to be used. But I am unable to identify the right class or code the script correctly. Was anyone able to solve this issue? Please let me know.
So I have a numeric question before the single choice response. If the value is greater than 50% a text e.g. "A" gets piped in the question text or else "B" gets piped. Can we do this kind of conditional piping in Qualtrics using greater than or less than conditions?
Hi, I want to toggle display an open-end question based on the selection from a dropdown question on the same page. I did manage to do this for a single choice question and below is the code. But again, this is not needed since we have an inpage display logic feature in Qualtrics. Inpage display logic is not supported for dropdown questions thus I am trying to implement it through javascript. The problem here is that I am unable to find the element type and ID for dropdown questions. Let me know if anyone did manage to implement it and if so how could it be done. Hi, I am dynamically showing statements in a multi-choice question based on the selections of previous questions. At this question, if the number of statements displayed is less than or equal to 5 then they get auto coded and the Next button is auto-submitted. And if the number of statements displayed is more than 5 than the respondent should be able to proceed only after selecting 5 statements. So, I am trying to hide the Next button on Page load and when the number of selection is equal to 5 then the Next button should be displayed. I was able to code the first part when the number of selections in less than or equal to 5 but having issues with the second part and not able to dynamically show the Next button on 5 selections. How can I auto code a single/multi question from the response selected in previous question? For example, out of 5 options in a multi question only 1 of them is selected at question Q1. I have to autocode this code in question Q2 which is also a multi question and skipped from been asked to the respondent. What is the best approach to implement it?
