Hi all,I am looking at the java instructions to retrieve the data inputted in a matrix-type question. My question looks like this: The A and B boxes are text entries but conditioned to numerical values. The options 1, 2, 3, 4 seem to be radio type. What I want is to save in a embedded variable what is inputted in A and B, then retrieve also which option was selected 1 or 2 for A or 3 or 4 for B. Edit: I want to do this while submitting the answer because I need to calculate a value from the A and B boxes that conditioned the appearance of the next question. Thank you for any insight!
It is me only or authentication is not working? I set an authentication branch, attached a contact list, and included Email as an authentication field. But just writing any word is enough to pass to the next page. It’s not active ignore validation and this is happening even in other projects where I already verify this works well. Is this a Qualtrics error platform, anyone knows? Thank you!

Something like this: Dear ${m://FirstName} ${m://LastName}, Thank you for responding the survey. Your ID number is ${e://Field/ID}. The name and last name are shown, but the ID number is blank. Why embedded variables are not created and piped in using the Mobile view in Qualtrics Preview Mode? Hi! I am creating embbeded variables with java script. I am testing that this variables are piped in the questions where I decide to. From Preview mode, using the arrows to submit a response I saw that I created and piped in the embbeded variable in the correct place. But if I turn on the mobile view and use the arrows there to submit the response, the embbeded variable is not piped in the question. Why this happens and how can I resolve? I am using the follow code to get the response. I am trying to create a variable that counts the number of choices that currently exist in my question to make a loop, as I need to browse the possible choices to evaluate if they have been checked and set them to a specific value. The options are dynamic, as they appear depending on whether a YES was given in two different previous questions. I think I could also get this value if I use the If else option, but I wanted to know if there is a possibility to do it with only one line of code and not 6 or 7. Hi I just created an embbeded variable during the response of question A with the following codeQualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function() {var x = "${q://QID1007/ChoiceGroup/SelectedAnswers/26}";var ans="During the time we just identified, [" + x + "]"; Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("Timing", ans);});And I piped in the embbeded variable in the next question B${e://Field/Timing}, did you do other stuffs?So, what I got is only “During the time we just identified “ without the response in question A, but if go back using the button to question A and return with the next button to question B, it appears! So, why is this happening and how I can show inmediatly my embbeded variable in question B when people responded question A? Thank you!
I have a multiple choice question with four posible answers, for example: Question: Tell me… A answer B answer C ansewer D answer People can select none, one or more than one. What I want is to get the value if they checked the answer with JavaScript, for example the answer A in one embedded variable. If they select A and C answer, I want to save in two diiferent embbeded variables the response. Obviously if thet not checked any answer the result would be null. How can I do that? Thanks!

Let’s say that I have ten items (Yes/No) associated with a characteristic, let's say it's A, B, C.... J. Something like this: item1 is Aitem2 is Bitem3 is C...item10 is JI want to create an embedded variable considering the different possible combinations. That is if the participant said yes in item1 and no in the other 9, the embedded variable is stored with a text called "A". Another example, if the participant says item1, item3 and item10 is yes and the others no, then the text of the embedded variable is "A, C and J", so with all the possible combinations. How can I do this efficiently since there are hundreds of possible combinations?
I use preview to see if my survey were flowing as I expected, however during the process to answering the questions I got a yelow text box with the description and answer option selected of the previous question. I am creating a multiple question that allows multipe answers like this: What I want is to include on this question a JavaScript that able to go to the next question automatically when is selected 3 options. So, in that case, people should not require to endorse more. Is there a way to trigger that when it mets that condition?

I found that I can use piped text of one of those question, for example using ${q://QID330/ChoiceTextEntryValue/3} I am trying to save the text in a variable in java. I have two mutiple choice questions (Yes/No) that shows in a same page. Based in if they are rated yes or not I created a embbeded variable that get a specific value. Then I want to use this embedded data to pipe in a next question. I can do this with a hidden question, but I want to create the embedded data in the same page that are the questions and then use this embedded data in the following page. Unfortunatenly, this is not working.
