I believe drill down will only allow 1 selection but you could ask the question for province first and then program 10(?) multiple choice city questions and use display logic to only show the appropriate the second question applicable for the province selected.

@TomG - YES! That's exactly what I'm describing! But I don't know how to specifically call on those counts or where to get that information in order to write the math operation formula more specifically. I know how to use other embedded data, like selected choices for row 1 would be ${q://QID10/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoicesForAnswer/1} in this case, but what is the Qualtrics embedded data identifier for counts by scale point in a matrix?
@AdamK12 - Duly noted regarding the long matrix and potential accessibility issues. Valid point. But it's a fairly simple list of tools where "Yes" selections then drive a Loop & Merge block of follow-on questions, so I think we want to keep it intact. But if no one else responds, I may have to remove the "other" row. Thank you!
I figured out the onclick function to set the text entry to null if either of the boxes are checked, but can anyone help with the piece that will uncheck the boxes if the text entry value is changed? @tchen: Is it possible to modify this code to indent individual response options of a MC question (rather than the whole set)? I have a MC question with a group and I would like just that group of responses to be further indented from the other choices. See image. Possible to move the types of pizza further right? !

@Shashi - Does the first line of your code tell it to show only the first row? Can we show the first 3 rows initially onload instead of just one? Or not possible?
Oh I see @Shashi ! So your code does work on a form type. I have 8 individual essay text questions. I could consider a form type question for this purpose if: 1) the text boxes could appear under the headers rather than beside them; and 2) the text box and response then remains visible once something is typed in (and only closes if the respondent intentionally clicks on the header again). Otherwise, I think I'd prefer the individual question approach.
Your code is sincerely appreciated @Shashi (I did not know this was called a LabelWrapper label) but this code doesn't seem to be working for my question series. The text boxes are initially hidden but nothing happens on clicking the question text.
Thanks @TomG , So if I have this for the question text: `<div id="topic" onClick="showtext()"><b><u>Topic 1</u> ▼</b></div> ` And in the onload function, I've successfully initially hidden the boxes with this: jQuery("#" + this.questionId + " .InputText ").hide(); But I'm having trouble writing the function that shows the box when the topic is clicked. :(

Hi @Shashi - Thank you! I appreciate the alternative and I did consider a display-logic based solution. However, I believe that what you describe would always require a page break between the "how many" question and the matrix. The hope is for all of this to occur on the same page.
@_Hannah1073 I tried your code on a slider question and it worked fine for me to prevent someone from moving forward unless the sum was 100. What is happening for you? Are respondents able to move forward with a sum>100?
