Hi,I am a complete beginner when it comes to Qualtrics and online surveys. I found out that one thing I'd like to code - embedding an external website into the Qualtrics survey, so that while doing the survey, respondents don't need to open a new tab - I can use an "iframe" for.This does work quite well on another platform, namely limesurvey, when using the following code:" style="width:400px;height:400px;">In Qualtrics, being in the survey project view (where I add and edit questions), if I put the above code into the "Rich Content Editor" - "HTML View" of a question or text field, this does seem to work. An iframe is displayed as you can see here:However, the preview of the survey shows nothing. Not an empty frame or an error, just white space. I'd be very happy if someone could help me with this issue. p.s. I did search through the discussions and found some suggestions about using javascript. However, I'm on a free trial (not the free account), so I can't check if that way would wo
I am having trouble understanding the "evenly present elements" option.I am designing a survey with 3 conditions and I'd like to randomize the participants into those conditions. Currently I have set up a randomizer with 3 embedded data elements which assigns one of three values (1,2 or 3) to the variable "CONDITION". I set the number of elements presented to a participant to 1.So far so good. But should I check the "evenly present elements" option? If what condition one is assigned to is randomized, i.e. there is a 33.3% chance in my case, then in the end there will be roughly the same amount of participants in each condition, without having to execute any feature that "evenly presents" the options, right? If I throw a coin 100 times, it's gonna be about 50 times heads and 50 times tails.So what is this feature good for?
Hi everyone,the code below inserted in the HTML view of one of my questions creates a frame only if I choose the "Classic" Layout. With "modern" and" Flat" there is no frame. I want to use the "modern" layout. How can I make it work?div.Inner.BorderColor {border: solid #ff3b3b;}IntroductionWe collected business-relevant data about four smartphone apps and created two charts:...Also, as can be seen in the screenshot, the frame on the sides is more narrow than the frame in between the two questions. How do I balance the sizes of both?Help would be much appreciated!Best,CodeCollective
Hi everyone,I want to reduce the size of the answer boxes of every question, these for instance are too big (heigh) for my purposes:I found several solution proposals on this forum, none of them are working, including the one below. The size of the boxes doesn't change when I enter this code into "Custom CSS" in the "Look and Feel" view..Skin label.MultipleAnswer, .Skin label.SingleAnswer { padding:5px; }Something does seems to happen, as can be seen when I inspect the "Frequently" Box.Inspected without the above CSS code included:Inspected with the above CSS code included:But I am new to CSS, so I don't know what to try next. Help would be much appreciated!p.s. I also tried.Skin label.MultipleAnswer, .Skin label.SingleAnswer { padding:5px!important; }
Hello experts,I want to run an experiment in which I need to direct every single participant to a different external website. Therefore, I would like to show participant #1 Link #1, participant #2 Link #2 and so on. Is there a way to count how many participants have started the survey? I read that it could be possible to set up a quota and count how many participants have already finished the survey. However, if participant #1 and #2 start at the same time, then they'd both unfortunately see Link #1. I also thought about just creating one condition for every possible participant. Let's say I predict 100 participants will participate, that'd mean 100 conditions, so 100 unique blocks. However, I could just randomize them into the conditions, meaning that two participants might end up in the same condition. Or is there a way to direct participants to a block and then prevent any other participant to ever be directed to that block again?
Hello,as a part of an experiment I'd like participants to access and interact with a tableau dashboard, embedded into Qualtrics via an iframe. Problem is, they'd need an account and login. I don't want and cannot openly share the account credentials for them to login manually.Can I automatically log them in with valid account credentials, without disclosing them? I'm picturing coding something so that the login data would be sent to tableau and they'd be logged in. I read something about POST requests, is that the way to go? I am a complete beginner, I hope this is feasible. If it is but too complex to explain in detail, I'd appreciate some resources that I could use to learn.
