deleting a translating survey

Hello,I would like to ask information relating some translated survey I created. Is there a way to remove the new ‘created languages’ from the survey? It seems I cannot cancel them. Thank you,cheers,Alessandro

Constant Sum and Piped Text causing error

Hello,I am hoping to get help with a constant sum question error.I am using piped text as default choice in my constant sum question statements and I have made one a negative (so I added a “-”). I am basically looking to subtract expenses from Income automatically for the user. The calculation and piped text work perfect but when I go to proceed in survey I get a “Please enter valid number” error message due to the piped text. Is there custom code to ignore the validation for a constant sum question? I have no validation on. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

Should I export all survey responses to another platform like Salesforce or keep them in Qualtrics?

Hi everyone,What is the best practice for integrating Qualtrics with another platform like Salesforce?  Should I create fields in Salesforce for each question and transfer all of the responses from Qualtrics to Salesforce for analysis?  Or should I just transfer the fact that a Salesforce Contact responded to a certain survey?   Thanks,Peter

When a phone call interrupts a mobile survey?

Hello Everyone,This is my first survey and I have a question about this eal-world situation:A person used ScanLife on a flyer with a QR code to start the survey. During the survey, the phone receives a call and the participant takes it. How does the participant get back to the survey. If you click on ScanLife, the phone is stuck in “Loading” spin.What should I do as survey creator to prevent this?

Hide the next button in Slider questions with Multiple statements:

Hello! I’m new to the community and am looking for a little code to help me with a survey that contains slider questions. There are 7 statements within each slider question.I’m looking for code to hide the ‘next’ button until all 7 sliders have been interacted with. The code below shows the ‘next’ button after one slider has been clicked and it also causes the sound file to play again if participants try to advance. For my study, this is the bigger issue since I want to limit the number of times a participant hears each sound file to 1. Help Dashboards downloads.

When I want to download the entire Dashboard of the PROMOS product, for example, I first go to the GPM RETAIL Dashboard->Detail Page-Yape promos, the information is downloaded in an Excel, but when I go to search for the survey question in the breakdown of this product and place filters gives me very few answers. On the other hand, if I download the answers from “DATA AND ANALYSIS” directly from the YAPE-NPS-OTROS project, filtering by the “YAPE PROMOS” journey, we can see in the excel that the same question Q26 of the breakdown appears with 539 answers vs. 11 responses to what was mentioned above. We want to know why one base differs from the other, aren't they supposed to be fed from the same source and therefore have the same fields in every sense?} Does anyone know why there are these differences?

Adding a back button to only certain blocks and counting clicks

HelloI want to add a custom back button that only appears on certain pages. I would also like to count the number of times a participant clicks that button. I would like to basically give a set of instructions on one page and then see how many times the participant returns to check that page. What’s the best way to do this? Advanced randomization options missing

A few days ago I was able to set up question randomization within a block using advanced randomization. Today, when I try to edit that same block, the options on the right side have disappeared:Does anyone know why this is happening and I can fix it? Thank you!

Adding country-specific embedded data for invitation

Hi. I’m trying to create an invitation letter where I could add different phone number depending on the country. In most countries, we could use the default number but there would be some with different numbers. I thought it would be simple and therefore planned on using the branching like:PhoneNumber = xxxxxxxIf Country=Ireland PhoneNumber = yyyyyyHowever, I cannot get the PhoneNumber embedded in the letter even if I add this  ${e://Field/PhoneNumber}. In the email, it is empty.Is there something I missed? Or is this just not possible to add in the invite like this?Thank you for any good ideas!

Show rest of the survey in language selected in first question

Hi there! I'm creating a survey and on the first page, I ask participants what language they want to take the survey in, English or Spanish (as a regular question, not through the translation dropdown box). I want the rest of the survey to be shown in the language they select. How do I do this? Please note that I have some complicated conditions going on in this survey:-I have a lot of block randomizations going on, so I don't want to have to branch and create new blocks in Spanish-I want to keep responses given in English or Spanish in the same variable in the dataset, so I want to use the translation function, but the dropdown box that comes with that function does NOT work for me. I need the dropdown box to disappear and the language of the rest of the survey to match whatever participants select in the first question. I have tried some of the JavaScript suggested in this thread, but it hasn't worked for me. Thank you!

Dashboard Filter: Forced to enter exact match, want partial matches? Is this possible?

Basic question. My keyword dashboard filter is forcing exact matches instead of letting me search partials.  For example, we have a Data Reference Record “David 12345”.  If I search “12345”, it does not pull up the record.  Is it possible to search partial matches?

Custom validation using embedded data and dropdown menu

Hi all;I need to use a custom validation for a dropdown menu variable. For this validation I need to compare the value chosen with an embedded data. I don't find how to choose the selected choice for the left hand side. I can only choose one of the possible values in the dropdown menu. Thanks

Waiting Room to Automatically Redirect a Certain Amount of Users

Hi, I want to realize a pre-survey and waiting room in Qualtrics, to take users from Prolific and redirect them to our external discussion forum developed by us. Users from Prolific will enter the Qualtric survey, answer questions, and then enter the waiting room block, and the waiting room block will automatically redirect them to the external discussion room.The waiting room should automatically redirect Prolific users to the once there are 5 users in the waiting room in 2 minutes. If there are less than 5 workers in the waiting room in 2 minutes, the survey ends.I plan to create a waiting room server to communicate with Prolific API and check user counts, and the Qualtrics client code will extract the user IDs and study IDs and send to the waiting room server via HTTP request. However, this is time-consuming. I am wondering if there are any templates or easy ways to realize the waiting room?

Computing a payoff

Hi all,I am using smartriqs in Qualtrics to implement a coordination game with two players 1 and 2. Each player can choose one option  among two possible options (0 or 10). Then I am using the operation min to compute the minimum between the two options. In a feedback block, I am displaying the choice of the participant, the minimum of the two choices and a payoff function which is computed as follow: Payoff1= min (Choice player1; Choice player2) -(choice of player1*1/2) For the choice and the minimum. It displays the right answers. For the payoff it computes only the second part of the expression and takes always 0 for the minimum. Thanks

Setting Growth Goals on a Five Point Scale

Greetings All, We are currently creating our next coherence plan that will go into effect for the 24.25 school year. Many of our metrics will be based on a five point rating scale. We will be gathering our benchmark data this spring. Our question is, what guidance do you follow for setting growth goals based off of five point scales? For instance, if a score comes in at 2.85 our of 5, what is the minimum increase that is expected by the next data checkpoint?     I am assuming the scale will fluctuate and a score of 1.5/5 would expect to see a greater increase over a six month time period than the 2.85, a 3.75 or a 4.5. We are interested in learning more about research (if any) is out there and/or what cut offs different organizations use to set expectations. Thanks for any input that can be shared. Mark GrunskeFranklin Public Schools,Franklin, WI

Validation of answers based on previous answers

Hi! Im so sorry if someone already asked that (I did look for it but couldn't find), but I really need help with this.Please, does anyone know how can I validate the result of a question based on the previous ones? I mean, I need the respondent to insert some purchase values in questions 1, 2 and 3, and in the 4th, the answer this respondent gives, need to be the total amount of those other 3. If not, the survey restarts. In all the cases, I will use an "open field" so this person types the prices of everything at each step.If someone knows it, and can help me, it will be of great value for me!Thanks!

Accessing and using Embedded data from Javascript

Hi, I am having a bit of trouble setting a user’s input on qualtrics. I have a text box that is used to take the date of the user’s choosing and I want to set this string they type in into a variable in the Javascript editor. I tried using the piped text, but it uses it as a string itself rather than pointing to the string that the user inputted. If anyone knows how to help that would be great!
