I have embedded data that I have imported into Qualtrics use a web service block. The data comes from a .json file and reads something like 0.male, 1.male, 2.male, etc.I have been trying to read this into my survey using the Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.getEmbeddedData method but without luck.I'm trying to do something that takes the form.let n = 2Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.getEmbeddedData(n + ".male")but this has been returning a NULL result. I have many multiple-choice questions with four options. I need to update them all to have the prefixes A., B., C., D. before each option. I have a loop and merge I need to show participants twice. L&M Block → Other Blocks → Identical L&M Block.Is there anyway to assure participants are given a different value of the l&m block when seeing it again? I have a survey with two conditions and a loop & merge that should randomly select one row out of four (dependent on the condition). Conceptually I am thinking of this as a l&m with 8 rows composed of two groups of four and depending on the condition, and one of these four rows should be selected.It is not feasible for me to do a four-row l&m with embedded data because I am using many columns. I could possibly consider using two separate l&m blocks, but I would like to avoid this if possible. Any advice on how to approach this problem would be appreciated.

I have a simple question. I am wondering if it is possible to replace all instances of an embedded data using my browser's console. For example, suppose I define an embedded variable in my survey `var = cat`. I then create the rest of my survey and pipe in my var in several places and everything runs normally.I am wondering if it possible modify this variable within the Chrome console. For example is it possible using the console I could do something like Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("var", "dog") and have my survey page to reload to show what it would look like under this new value?
I have participants in a survey doing a writing task. I'd like to give the participants a warning if they try to submit the page with less than the required number of words, but not force them to write the required amount. I'd also like to have a 5 minute timer where the page auto advances after 5 minutes.I'm not having any trouble writing the validation itself, and I am able to rely on a Timer question for the time auto advance, but I am not sure what the right way to do the word count validation is. I have a text response question where participants input a string for their ID. I have several lists of 50 participants who should take a different branch of the survey than everyone else.I am considering using a branch based on a regex match. For example if 3 of the 50 participants ID's were `XXX`, `YYY`, and `ZZZ`, I could do something like `if XXX|YYY|ZZZ then...` but I don't know how scalable this will be because Qualtrics tends to limit the text input you can have inside of boxes. Alternatively, I think I could do this fairly easily by collapsing an array in JS, but I'm not sure if that's going to be the best way either.
I am wondering if it possible to create some kind of embedded variable as the id of a block. Here is my use case:I need to give the participants in my survey the same questions in three different forms, say v1 v2 v3. For each of my variations, I am using embedded data with consistent naming conventions.For example in the block v1, I use variables ${e://Field/v1_name}, ${e://Field/v1_place}, etc. If I could import the block name as an embedded variable ideally I could write something like ${e://Field/${e://Field/blockID}_name}, ${e://Field/${e://Field/blockID}_place} which would work at scale for blocks v1 v2 and v3.Is it possible to pull in the block name do such a thing?

I was wondering if it possible to populate a dropdown list using Qualtrics API.
