I'm trying to use mp4 videos in my survey and have encountered some problems - I first tried to add them to the library (and had a great help in: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/6852/how-to-show-next-button-only-after-a-video-inserted-as-media-file-is-finished-playing). Then I realized that some of my videos are too big and Qualtrics allows for 16mb files only, so I decided to embed them from my Google Drive. However - I do not know how to solve the problem now - I want the next button to be hidden until the video finished playing. I'm not sure what is the player used by Google Drive - it seems very similar to YouTube but I can't tell. Moreover, when I tried to solution suggested in: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/1186/using-iframe-api-to-automatically-advance-to-next-page-after-a-video-has-been-watched nothing happened.... I have a Qualtrics survey link called from a different platform (MTurk). Each respondent will enter the survey only through this site. After each completion, I'd like to get an embedded data that was randomly set by Qualtrics (this is actually the random assignment of respondents, so should be a randomly selected one value, out of two values). Is there a way to do this for each specific respondent? It's important to note that there might be multiple participants taking the survey at the same time.Thanks!
I have a loop and merge block, in which the first question displays some text fields (based on the loop and merge table).Then the second question is a yes/no question, and based on the answer to this question I display either the third or the fourth questions.When the survey runs, for some reason, in the first loop, after answering the yes/no question, none of the succeeding questions is presented. When I click next and the block is displayed again (for loops no. 2 and more), the display logic works fine (i.e., either q3 or q4 are displayed, based on the answer to q2).I know that display logic and force response may not go together very well (and I do have force responses in my questions) but I do not understand why the behavior in the first loop is different from the other ones. And whether there's any way to bypass this issue?Thanks in advance!
Hi,I have a survey in which I implement an upload file button using html and javascript (I'm not using the inherent Qualtrics upload file question because I need to upload big files and there's a size limitation in the Qualtrics question). The files are successfuly uploaded to my AWS S3 bucket.My question regards the validation of the file upload before moving forward to the next page - how can I validate (and throw an error if not) that the user uploaded the file? I tried the following, but after throwing the error it moves forward anyway (and I want to stay in this page, until no error is thrown). Hi all,I'm looking for a way to prevent from participants taking (or trying to take) the survey more than once.I have an ID which is unique for each participant, and this ID is transferred to the survey using the survey URL and can be saved as an embedded data. Is there any way to accumulate all those embedded data values into a list and then whenever a new user starts the survey, compare the ID to the list and if it's already there redirect the user to the end of survey and give him/her a message that the survey cannot be taken twice?I was wondering whether the contact list can be used for this purpose (can I "fill" it during the survey run? I read about the triggers but is there something similar for all started surveys - not only completed?)Thanks in advance

This file may include thousands of rows so I'm trying to keep my work as automatic as possible. What I need to do is to read this dataset, and then implement 2 phases in my survey: In the first phase, randomly select n rows from this dataset, extract their values, and then show to the user n idential questions, where the only differences are the values presented (like in a loop and merge scenario) - for example, in the first question use the name, ID, address etc. of the first chosen row, in the second the values of the second chosen etc.In the second phase, I want to randomly select m rows (but not include the ones that were already chosen as the n in the previous phase) and then show another question m times. Hi,I have a survey in which I want to use data from a csv file, in which each row has several relevant values. Let's say - name, ID, address, description etc. This csv file contains about 300 rows.I want to randomly select 30 out of these 300, and then display 30 questions to the user, where the only difference between them are the values for the fields read for the csv. For example, I will have 30 similar questions, where in the first one I'll show the name, ID, address extracted from one chosen row, the second will show the name, ID , address extracted from another chosen row and so on. I will then have another set of questions, in which I would want to pick 30 rows from the original csv, that were not selected before.So basically my questions are:1) How to randomly select rows from the csv, and then randomly select rows that were not selected yet?2) How to read values from the csv using javascript?I'm not very familiar with javascipt so any help would be very much appreciated!I saw

Hi, I have some multiple questions that their answers are images (they represent equations). When displaying those questions in the scoring summary, the responses are not displayed at all. I tried to access the "Report" settings but I saw there that the questions have the "Simple Table" visualization type, and still - the images are not displayed. What can be done? Thanks in advance!
Hi I'm trying to hide the back button on specific pages - I added the following code: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnReady(function () { $('PreviousButton').hide(); }); To the first question of the page I wanted to hide - but the button is still there..... Any ideas why? I added it to the first question, whihc is a descriptive text question. Thanks!
Hi Is there any way to allow using the back butoon when I have embedded data between blocks? I must have the embedded data at the end of each block, because I have a test with several sub-topics, each topic in a page, and at the end of the page the user gets the results of the scoring ("You answered 4 questions correctly..") - I want to have this spearate for each section, so I need to store the current scoring number in a variable, and then substract it in the next block report. So I'm using embedded data that store the socring result minus the previous blocks soting results. But I really want to use the back buttons so that users would be able to navigate between sub-sections... Is there anyway to bypass this limitation? Thanks!
Hi I'm adding a header that uses the email entered in the authenticator page as an identifier (as header which looks like: "This survey is taken by...., any other users please click here") . Currently my header appears on every page, even on the page of the authenticator (the first page). Is there a way to not show the header there? I saw some similar thread at https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/comment/6229#Comment_6229 but in my case I cann't edit the "hidden" page because it is the authenticator one. Thanks!
Hi I'm implementing a scorig mechanism in my survey, and wondered whether I can edit the scoring results page. I want to add there some sentences and a link, directing the participants to the material that would help them to answer better the next time they take the survey. Is there any way to edit this page? I want to have a survey where after a certain time of inactivity - the survey sends the user to an end of survey message. This should prevent a case where one user (in this case a student) starts to fill the survey, then "forgets" about it but leaves it open, and another student continues the survey from the same point (they are using the same computer in their class, for example). I know that I can set a total duration limit, but is there any way to measure inactivity time? Thanks in advance!
I read about scoring but I'm still not sure whether it can be used to show for each question answered - the correct choice. In addition, I want to provide the user with a link in case he was wrong. If I use scoring for this purpose - how should I do it? Thanks!
