Hi @GuillermoDVCM ,You don’t necessarily have to change the widget.In edit mode, you can scroll to the bottom and add a new widget “Gauge Chart”.Then, add Metrics, set metric as average and field as response type.In display tab, change the range to something smaller like 0<1.5<3.5<5.You should have your gauge chart and the information when your cursor hover over it.

Hi @esmaozer, There are some options like splitting the survey into two survey projects, student group and parent group, or go further by setting a different password for the two surveys.However, from my understanding, it still doesn’t stop an individual on “impersonating” another individual if they have access to the survey (link) or/and password.
Hi @Pea ,As alternative, you can try creating multiple (1 statement) matrix questions with the first one having the text and diagram and leave the subsequence blank. Then, amend the various question’s heading. Note:This alternative will likely create some white spaces in between compared to just 1 matrix question with multiple statements. Also, when the number of scale points increase beyond a certain point, some of the scale points may not fit and will require respondents to scroll to the right.Example
Hi @trissa , I believe ahmedA’s solution performs similarly to the logic that you mentioned.The logic is working after a simple test run. Were there any display/skip logics within your survey question Q1 and Q2?There are times when branch logic and question’s display/skip logic conflict with one another.Test of branch logicPerhaps you could provide some screenshots for others to figure out the possible cause/solution.

Hi @MichaelD , Perhaps you can try adding branch logic and embedded data in survey flow?(Tedious method)Branch 1:If option 1’s ChoiceNumericEntryValue =1, then state1 = option 1.If option 1’s ChoiceNumericEntryValue =2, then state2 = option 1.If option 1’s ChoiceNumericEntryValue =3, then state3 = option 1.(duplicate branch and amend for other options)… use piped text to add state1~3 in your text entry question.
Hi @Helfri62 , Depending on how you build your survey, your piped text may be different due to referencing another QID (internal ID) compared to your question or entering “ChoiceTextEntryValue” instead of “ChoiceTextEntryValue/1”.

Hi @Dave D , Rank order questions will create a column for each option you have.When you export in CSV or excel, the headers will mention which option that column represents while the cell will indicate the ranking.More information: Rank Order Question (qualtrics.com) If you have not start collecting responses, you can try adding branch condition and setting embedded data. (Tedious method as you will need to set for all type of scenarios).If you already have the responses, you can modify the exported file by adding several columns and using “if” and “concat” function within excel.

Just make sure that when you edit the formatting in a question, be careful of the text that you selected when working with piped text.If you don’t wish to edit the piped text format, make sure none of the pipe text including the $ and {} are selected.
Hi @mdaruka , If the whole piped text “${e://Field/Satisfaction%20level}” is of the same font size/family/color, it shouldn’t be an issue.As an example, To test if it is a piped text formatting issue,create another question, only piped in that embedded data and preview the survey.orremove all the formatting by clicking the “Tx” icon in the rich text editor and preview the survey. Once confirmed that it is a formatting issue, slowly edit back the format that you wanted originally without affecting the piped text.
Hi @mdaruka , I did preview the set up. It is working as expected. Displaying “Not entirely satisfied” when 1 is selected and “Satisified” when 7 is selected. The placement of embedded data depends on how you want it to function. For this case, it should be directly after the branch. Can you show your A3 to see if there is any issue with piped text?Note: Piped text may not appear when there is different font size/family/color, causing issues.
Hi @mdaruka , Split your question A2 and A3 in different blocks. The embedded data should be a variable name (For example, “Status1” or “Satisfaction Level”) that you will use for both branches. (My apologies, I should not use “status” in the previous example due to similar name with Qualtrics keywords.) Hi @Johan , Sachin’s method considers answer choice being selected as a condition. Hence, randomization of answer choice will still work. You can add the randomization by selecting choice randomization in Question behavior and selecting which type of randomization you want it to be.More information can be found here: Choice Randomization (qualtrics.com)
Hi @Onurk , An alternative is asking the respondents to answer it as a question and skipping to end of survey when the choice (no) is selected. You can try to change the question type from Text/Graphic to Multiple-Choice.Then, set 2 options, yes & no.Set a skip logic for this question. Hi @lamori , Since it is just between two blocks, you can try to create a random number “boolean” as embedded data in survey flow.Then, branch the blocks based on the “boolean” condition and add the follow-up questions within the branch in the order that you wish to have.As an example, in the first branch with condition of TrueShow text = Situation 1 Block 1 Show text = Situation 2 Block 2. Follow-up questions to Block 1 and Block 2.while the second branch with condition of FalseShow text = Situation 1 Block 2 Show text = Situation 2 Block 1 Follow-up questions to Block 2 and Block 1.Sample diagram below for illustration only
Hi @2024EmmaSteelatUC , When you preview the survey, there is no embedded data available to be piped into the question.You can try to add query strings in the preview url.For example, if c_class=A, “...&Q_SurveyVersionID=current&c_class=A”or create a contact list with your email with the respective embedded data and distribute through email/personal link to simulate an actual view of what the respondents should see in the survey.
