Schedule an Intercept to activate.

Is it possible to schedule an intercept to activate at a given time? I need to activate an intercept on January 1st, but would like to schedule it ahead of time if at all possible.

Email trigger to include an Outlook calendar invite

Does anyone know if it is possible to create an outlook calendar invite attachment based on a date selected in a survey and attach it to email trigger? The idea being to send an outlook calendar invite after someone signs up for specific time slot.

Word or Character Count Trigger

Hello all! I want to create an indicator if an open-ended feedback response contains 300 or more characters. I know I can use branching logic to create an embedded data field for this indicator, but I am not sure how to set up the trigger. Is this something I'd need custom code to do?

Panel Recruitment and Contact Frequency

Hello - I am beginning to program a process for double confirmation panel recruitment. The ideal flow would be Offer to join panel during web visit > if yes, provide email address > survey invite sent to email to confirm willingness to join panel > thank you email (email trigger) sent at completion of confirmation survey. I also have contact frequency rules o set to 180 days. I think my multiple emails are in conflict with contact frequency rules. Has anyone ever had to work around this, and if so, how did you do it?

Using JavaScript to set "FIRST NAME" to titleCase "First Name"

Has anyone found a way to fix all caps embedded data, like "NAME", into something like "Name"? I think this should be doable with piped text, .setEmbeddedData, and a JS expression to convert the piped text to titleCase. I've tried: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('Value_2', titleCase("${e://Field/Value_1"))); But it didn't work. I'm thinking I first need to correct "Value_1" before I can set it to "Value_2.

End of Survey Print Button Formatting

Does anyone know of a way to: 1. Hide the header in an end of survey message? JavaScript to breakup date of birth for doing an age calculation

I am trying to record age at the time of taking the survey, using a an embedded data (Date of birth) in the format YYY-MM-dd. Because date of birth is in 1 embedded field, and not 3 (year of birth, month of birth, day of birth) I can't do an age calculation in survey flow (which is fine as the logic for this is a bit messy and I have a lot of surveys I'd need to add this to). I imagine javascript code could be written that will calculate the age based on the date if birth field I have, but I am not sure how to write it. Can anyone help?

Side by Side Question and Standardizing column width

I want to be able to set the column widget between questions in the side by side question. Has anyone had luck doing this? I know it is probably just an HTML tweak, but I can't figure out how to do this.Before anyone says anything, yes, I have tried manually changing the columns in the question builder, but it is inconsistent in the survey.

Best Widget for Rank Questions

How do other people display the results of Rank question types? I have people rank things from most preferred (recode value =1) to least preferred (recode value = 3), but I am not sure the best way to display the results of this question. What I have done in the past is do a simple bar chart with 3 count metrics, then filter each one for "when X=1". This shows the number of times X, Y, or Z were selected as the #1 choice. I then repeat for #2 and #3. While this works, I feel like there _must_ be a better (and more intuitive) way.

Change Color of MC Question Type

I think I've seen this mentioned before, but when I use the search function, I am only able to come up with graphic slider changes. How best can I changet the color of a the click button of a multiple choice question? Think red = dissatisfied and green = satisfied.

Auto format phone number for text entry box

My guess is that this will take specific code because I haven't found the feature native in Qualtrics. Is it possible to auto-format a text entry box? The exact example I am trying to do is format 10 numbers entered in a text box to a standard phone number format, like 123-456-7890. All I want them to enter is 1234567890.

Word Count for Multiple Text Entry on the Same Page

Hello all. I've successfully used this thread to add word count to text entry question. However, has anyone figured out how to adapt this to work with multiple text entry question on a single page, with each question counting its specific words. I've tried setting the specific QID# for each question, but that didn't seem to work.

Default Choice Pre-populated with Embedded Data Depending on Selection to previous choice selection

Hello all, I have a question where a survey taker selects something from a drop down on one page and then on the next page I pipe over their selection and allow them to add comments to their selection. I'd like to set a default choice (piped embedded data) in the comment on the 2nd page based on what the selected on the previous page. I cannot use display logic for this for practicality reasons. They can have up-to 10 selections on the 1st page and 9 choices, which means I'd have to program 90 different display logics. I also can't set embedded data in the survey flow because these questions are in a block inside a Table of Contents element and Qualtrics doesn't allow that. Hiding or editing a specific div

How can I hide or reduce the padding of specific question text? I have already hidden all content of the question box with <<span style display"none>> But it looks like the div container padding is still causing a problem. !

Line Height adjust not working

I am trying to adjust the line height of a disclaimer in my header, but the HTML doesn't seem to be working. I can make the line height wider, but I cannot seem to make it smaller. it just seems to stay at its default height. Predictive Date - Web Service maybe?

Hi community geniuses! I have made a "survey" that functions as a registration form. Depending on how they answer a question, they are registering for a meeting on either the second Tuesday of a month or the fourth Tuesday of a month. I'd love to a make an Outlook invite for the survey taker, but I'll need to know what the date of a given 2nd/4th Tuesday is based on the year and month. Has anyone ever done anything like this? I feel like this might be doable with a Web Service call, but I am not sure.

Standard formatting with decimal places

Is there a way to make the numeric entry for a question to display with 2 trailing decimal places, even if the initial input doesn't have a decimal? Example: Someone enters 2 in a question, I want the output to be 2.00. Rational: I want to display the entered values as standard currency ($2.00), but not force the survey taker to put in .00 for each whole dollar. I tried using the rounding math operation, but it won't include the extra 00's.

Remove the padding between 2 questions

How do I reduce the distance between 2 questions? I have 1 MC question but 3 possible descriptive text questions above it. The descriptive text questions dispaly one of the options based on the choices of the previous question. Doing this method makes the survey langauge more flexible but the gap between the questions isn't great to look at.

Reset embedded data while using Retake Link and Retake as New Response Link

Hello - I am using the Retake Links as a way to edit/copy forms as part of a renewal process. For the most part, the functions of the links work great. For example, the Retake Link shows the form at the time the form was first taken and pre-loads the earlier selections/entries, while the Retake as a New Response Link looks at the form in its most current form and pre-loads earlier selections (great for renewals with small changes). However, my form uses A LOT of conditional branching logic to set embedded data. This embedded data is either used to format an output (manually setting HTML so that the form is "dynamic") or is used for math operations. During testing I noticed that embedded data is also saved, even if the conditional logic is no longer true, which can cause some very big problems downstream for the math operations and formatting. (see images below for and example). I realize this may be tedious, as I have A LOT of embedded data variables, but is there a way to reset/cl
