The deal is we do a heads up email from a Client Success lead that goes out in advance of our NPS invite. I don't want the heads up email to display a survey link or opt out link since it is supposed to look like a general email, but I have to set it up as an invite email in order to send it via the Distributions section, and of course those 2 links are required for an invite email.In the past I've had a line of code in my custom html which sort of did the trick: ${l://SurveyLink?d=Take%20the%20Survey} ${l://OptOutLink?d=Opt%20Out}Unfortunately, whenever the person forwarded or replied to the email those links would then show for them, which is obviously not ideal and has also led to some surveys being taken off of this email.Is there a better piece of code to add, or other way to accomplish, that is an improvement over my current situation? Thanks in advance for any ideas or code!
Currently the Salesforce trigger and email survey options only let you automatically send 1 reminder email, so I'm having to go into my distributions each week and manually schedule the second reminder email. Is there a better way to handle? Seems to me a pretty essential feature, though some might say I'm sending too many reminder emails. (But I've proven they get me many more responses; without them for certain surveys I would never get to what my stakeholders consider an acceptable RR percentage.)
I have definitely been looking at online calculators for ideal sample size and confidence intervals like this one (these mostly seem geared towards marketing surveys and picking ideal sample sizes, no?), but I am still unsure how to get the answer I need. I will be presenting customer NPS results to executives, and at times breaking out by region, segment, etc. I am looking for a fairly straightforward way to gut check when a drill-down goes too far, and is therefore only directionally relevant. For example, if one segment that represents 30% of global NPS respondents is then broken down further--where the smaller segment there represents 20% of that segment's respondents at about 50 responses, how would you go about determining how conservative to be in presenting these ratings? Is there a different online calculator I'm looking for, or even just a rule of thumb people use? The survey currently has about an 8% response rate.Thanks so much!
I understand from Qualtrics support it should be fully possible for me to email a survey invite to around 65K recipients (via loaded contact list) but given that I've never attempted to reach nearly so many I am still nervous there could be issues or unforeseen complications. If someone can quickly share some best practices and call out any known risks/implications for me that would be hugely helpful! Specific questions: 1. Do you do anything to split your large sends into batches (or do something else) to help with email deliverability? (Related .... Since this is a mass send, will it put me in jeopardy of getting the send-from email address blacklisted by recipient email servers? If so any way around this, e.g. splitting the send across a few different days or time blocks?) 2. If you send customer surveys and market research-type surveys from the same account, have you seen any negative impact to deliverability or response rate based on the occasional large sends? I have used display logic to display different wording for a single question within my survey ... i.e. show wording version a of question 1 to respondent with a Client Success Manager, show wording version b to respondent without a Client Success Manager. Now that I am trying to map these "different" (but really the same) questions together in Vocalize, though, I am not finding a way to accomplish. I can see that if the questions were on different surveys I could easily use a standard mapping or the multi-mapping editor to tell Qualtrics that they should be rolled up together. But how do I do this when the question versions appear within a single survey? There must be a way, right?
This seems obvious but I can't find a Community post or Q resource that spells this out. I am adding an inline question (which is question 1 on my survey) to my invite and I want the respondent to have a different survey experience based on their selection. If they answer "very satisifed" for inline question they only see one additional question when the survey loads (so they see questions 1 and 2 with question 1 already 'answered'). If they answer inline question any other way they see all questions (8) for survey load. Can I use regular old display logic or won't this work based on them coming into survey via inline question? Would it be the "in page" option I want? I will obviously test this, but it seems like an obvious enough question that people should be able to find an answer for it :) So I'm asking.
I have been running a customer survey program for 3.5 years (read, lots of historical trending data!) where we have done everything on an 11 pt scale with 3 points labeled, to correspond with our all important NPS survey :) (We have reported average score out of 10 for non NPS questions.) Now I am interested in updating to a 5 pt labeled scale for all transactional surveys to be easier on the customer taking our surveys, + strive for more valid results. Has anyone done this? I am very interested in any of the following: 1. Info on how it went -- did you have any unexpected issues making the update; would you do it again? 2. How did you handle reporting out the results given it was out of line with the historical reporting? top box and switch to reporting % of satisfied customers? Did you attempt to normalize results for any period or just do a hard switch and have an asterisked note? 3. I recently updated my email templates for all of my surveys in 3 languages and it was kind of scary and a total pain. All of them contained some piped text (e.g. client name + some less frequently referenced fields from my relevant Salesforce object) and I also newly added that the emails should come 'from' a team member they've worked with at my company (also from Salesforce) rather than my generic client experience distro. I wish there was some functionality to more easily test that things would pipe in correctly, like I'm able to do--requires some creativity--when sending emails from Marketo. Has anyone found any best practices for testing that things will work correctly outside of triggering surveys in your Salesforce staging environment or uploading fake contact lists to check the mappings? (The latter doesn't even work for the Salesforce-integrated surveys, of course.) I have had some difficulties testing in staging for surveys that I integrated many months back, as the environme
I feel the options are flawed for recording or deleting in progress survey responses, as the only timing choice for deleting in progress responses is after 1 week. Here's how this plays out (and how I've explained to stakeholders) . . . the reason we have this setting in place at all . . . to record unfinished responses . . . is that the only alternative setting would be to delete unfinished responses 1 week after they start but don’t finish the survey. This would mean if they decided to finish a week later when they receive a reminder from us, they would be locked out of the survey as it would already have been recorded in the system. I send reminders for a 2 week period for some of my surveys, and 4 weeks for others, so for those my only conceivable option is to record the unfinished responses and this often confuses people. I have an automated survey that has been sending for several months to the main implementation contact on a case. And responses for it have been mapping to a survey response record we created for the survey in Salesforce. One of the items to map is a contact field for the survey respondent, which points to the API name for that contact field on the case. Now I am adding an additional workflow rule and an additional contact field (secondary implementation contact--set up just like the main implementation contact but points to a different Salesforce contact and isn't a required contact field) so that I can survey both of these contacts when they are both filled in for that case. But I've hit a snag when it comes to my response mapping. I need a way to create a condition to tell it when to map in the name of the primary contact vs. the name of the secondary contact based on who actually responded to the survey. I know that they have recently added functionality in Vocalize so you can show some basic response rate data for individual distributions, but I need to show at the survey level, divided by our fiscal quarter. So I am still maintaining response rate tables in Excel and then importing to Vocalize and displaying as an image in my dashboards. Have to replace the table manually every week. (Doing this manually also allows me to exclude emails that came back undeliverable . . . I just subtract the # of bounces from my total sent.) Wonder what others are doing to accurately display this key data to stakeholders in the way that works for your company.
