How to pre populate the options in the second column of a Side By Side Question

In my survey I have a Side By Side question. Within this question I would like to have the Multiple Choice options be pre populated by an earlier question. I want to do this by using Javascript. I tried three options without result: this.setChoiceAnswerValue(2,2,true); this.setChoiceValue(2,2,true); this.setChoiceValueByRecodeValue(2,2,true);The question looks like the screenshot below:Can somebody help me giving me the right JavaScript code?Thanks in advance.

Hide options in a side by side question

In a side by side question I have 3 columns and 4 items. The first two columns contain items with text entry options, the third with a MC option. In the second column I just want to display the text entry field of the first item, the other 3 need to be hidden. ! How can I set-up this? Using JavaScript? Does somebody have an example?

Store last answered questionnumber into an embedded data field of an unfinished response

In a survey I have set the option of partial completed responses set to recorded responses after 4 hours after the respondents start of survey. What I like to have is an embedded data field called 'LastQuestion' containing the last used question number. Like the column in the Data & Analysis tab under Responses in Progress where a column Last Question exists. Is such an option possible?

Update a response using Actions Tab or Webservice option in Survey Flow

Hello, I have a survey wich contains two steps. In the first step a new respondent is answering all questions. In the Survey Flow an Embedded Data Field is added called 'sts'. This field remains empty after the first step. After finishing an emailtrigger sends a message to another person. This emailmessage contains a retake link from the response and is set to not delete the original respons. This retakelink looks like: https://mycompany.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1aBCd2EF3ghIJ4K?Q_R=R_X1Y2Z3k4l5m67NO&Q_R_DEL=0 Now the survey starts based on this retakelink. In the original response I want the Embedded Data Field 'sts' be filled with some info, like 'xyz'. But I can't get it to work. Below some screenshots: In the Actions Tab I have set the event to 'All types'. No conditions is set. The task is set up to: - Authentication = Token. Empty text box entry when page is loaded

In a survey I have a text entry question where respondents can add text. When the respondent goes back and then presses the next button, the text in the text entry box is still in the textbox. But I want the textbox to be empty if the page is loaded again. How can I arrange this by using Javascript? What command do I need? Thanks in advance.

How to wait random seconds to go to the next page using either webservice or JavaScript

Hello,I'm building a survey using quota. To prevent overbooking on quota I created a branch in the surveyflow where I check if an option in the survey is selected AND if the quota has been met. If so then display the same block again. Using displaylogic on multiple choice options prevents the display of an option where the quota has been met.Only we have a lot of respondents starting at about the same time. Because the new number of selections on an option in a quota is set to slow overbooking is possible. How can I slow down the process checking the quota so the number in the quotasettins can be updated first before the process goes on?Or is it possible to use a webservice to update the quota after a respondent finishes the first time selection?

How to store data into a downloadable csv-file?

Hello,After playing around for a few days I got the below code working now. I want to use API to download responses. This is done in three steps. The only thing I can't get working now is: where do I find the file containing the csv data. Or how can I export and download it to my local harddrive? Download responses using webservices in 3 steps. Please help me setup the right settings.

Change pdf file name ResponseSummary.pdf

In Surveyflow an element End of Survey can be added. When ticking Customize there is an option 'Show Response Summary'. When using this option at the end of the survey a summary is displayed in the resondents screen. On top of this summary a link is available to download to PDF. When the respondent activates this link a PDF-files is downloaded. This file is always named 'ResponseSummary.pdf'. I would like to change this to a different name. I.e. based on an answer in the survey. Is this possible?

store Filename and UniqueID uploaded file to Embbeded Data Field

In a survey I have an option to upload a file, in my case an image. Normaly I can create Embedded Data Fields to store the filename and URL to the Embedded Data Fields using ie ${q://QID1/UploadedFileName} for Filename and ${q://QID1/UploadedFileLink} for URL. However, this can only be stored to Embedded Data Fields when the Next-button is pressed. Now I want the selected filename and URL be stored in Embedded Data Fields when I press the Back-button. I know how to store Text from Textfields, like: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function() { var answer = jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" .InputText").val(); Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('MyText', answer); }); The Embedded Data Field called 'MyText' wil contain the text wich is typed into the questions text field. What do I need to change in the jQuerystring (where I read .InputText' to get the text out of the textfield) to get the Filename and URL of an uploaded file? Thanks in advance.

Multiple answer labels to embedded data field

Hello, In a survey I have a multiple answer question. When I select more than 1 options and press the backbutton, the selections are stored in an embedded data field by using Javascript. Below my code: Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function() { var choices = this.getSelectedChoices(); Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('Competention'+loopnr', choices); }); When I select i.e. option 1 and 3, my Embedded Data Field displays 1, 3 But I want the labels as well, because only the selected choice is not enough for me to report. I need the labels corresponding to 1 and 3, i.e. "Option 1, Option 3". What kind of code do I need for this? Many thanks in advance.

Change text 'Next-button'

Depending on who is responding I had several locations to end the survey. I could develop by creating as much blocks as needed, but I have it in just a few blocks. So I Googled around a bit and found the code below to change the text of the next-button into other text: var newName = 'Finish'; //Update - New Next Button label var nb = jQuery('#NextButton'); nb.val(newName); nb.attr('title', newName); Just put this code into the last question of your page using the Advanced Options button and choose Add Javascript. Store this code in the section Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function() No futher answers needed on this, this is just for information only.

Calculate between two dates having two datepicker questions

Hello, In a survey I want to calculate the number of day's between two dates. For our students who do an internship I want to know how many day's they go for the internship. So I have two questions: Q1 is the starting date of the internship and Q2 is the ending date of the internship. Add code for Google Analytics

We want to use Google Analytics for a few Qualtrics Survey's. Up to now I was unable to add the code into my testsurvey to see if I get information in my Google Analytics account. Does anybody have a solution how to add Google Analytics code into a survey?

Prevent changing the handle in a slider question

In my survey I have a question where respondents can set a value from 1 - 10 based on a MC question. On the last page I have created a summary pages and in this summarypage I added a slider type question. The default value is based on the MC question earlier in the survey. Because it is a summary page I like to set this slider type question to non-changable. The handle should remain on the position based on the MC question value and may not be changed. How can I set this question to something like read only and prevent of changing value? Thanks in advance.

Set MC value to false in a Side-by-Side question

Hello all, At the moment I'm struggling with a Side-by-Side question. In the first column I have two subcolumns where a name and emailaddress can be keyed in. In the second column I have a Multiple Choice option for Yes or No. This works so far. Now I want to retake the response and want to set all options the second column to 'False' (= empty) in stead of displaying the selected choise of the previous response. In the screenshot below it's the column 'Send e-mail?' should all be empty. Or the column 'No' should be selected by default. ! How can this be done? What Javascript should I use? I've tried this with: this.setChoiceValue(1, 1, false); but this did not work. Thanks in advance

Change bar colors in Constant Sum question

In my survey I have several Constant Sum questions where 3 choices are visable. I would like to give each bar their own color. Now they are all green. But I would like to have i.e. the first bar blue, the second one orange and the 3rd one red. How can I setup colors in this kind of questions? See the screenshot below. ! Digital escaperoom

We want to build a digital escaperoom in Qualtrics. We build something simular already using Microsoft OneNote, but in our opinion Qualtrics is more userfriendly and the look and feel is much better. Does somebody have an example of a digital escaperoom in Qualtrics?
