Tinder-Style Survey

It almost seems like it could be a custom theme so you probably would need to talk to your account manager or if you have a client success manager. However, if you know HTML and Javascript you could probably just implement this javascript that has 2.2K stars on github. Looks like the most popular tinder style swipe js repository.

What are you using for reporting?

I use the qualtRics R package to run regular exports and produce a variety reports as R Studio Notebooks. https://rmarkdown.rstudio.com/r_notebooks this lets me take advantage of the Tidyverse for data munging and ggplot2 for graphics. I also heavily utilize Quanteda for text analysis in addition to text2vec and Spacyr for POS tagging, Collocations and Topic modeling. We also have Vocalize that is used by our managers in the field to keep a pulse on their location. Ultimately, I would like to set up a database for our responses and utilize Power BI since our organization has licenses and I think it's a better reporting tool than Vocalize.

Has anyone used the statistical programming language R to import survey responses with the API?

@Anthony_R_CX what's the use case here? I can't tell what API call your making without seeing your POST_URL variable. I at one time was going to write out functions for posting data and do a PR to the qualtRics repo but I haven't gotten around to it.

How to bulk disable dormant accounts

I never found an easy way to do this so I usually just use the API and write a script in R to do user management/ cleanup in bulk.

Getting User Survey Responses

Hello @Kanchi , The current V3 API does not have an option for returning JSON. I believe I saw that @Emily said it was on the roadmap. However, I believe you should be able to still use the old API getLegacyResponseData request to get survey response data in JSON. @Goodski Awesome! Play around with that and get a feel for how to construct the API requests. Once you have a handle on that you should be able to translate that knowledge to using the requests with Google App Script. I have never used it so probably can't help with it. Feel free to message me directly or post here if you have any questions about making the API requests.

How do you automate survey results/feedback scores on your intranet?

Teaching R or Python is a bit out of scope for this forum. However, if you follow this https://support.rstudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201141096-Getting-Started-with-R and get R & RStudio installed you can install the Tidyverse and QualtRics packages. With those it is very easy to set a scheduled task using the scheduleR or cronR (depending on windows or linux) package that regularly downloads the survey results. Datacamp.com is a great resource for R & Python lessons. If you can get that far, I can share some code snippets to help you automate the downloads.

404 Error

Ok, I will give you a brief example of how to retrieve the surveys in your account. ! This is Postman, I am making a request to retrieve a list of surveys in my account. The documentation can be found here https://api.qualtrics.com/docs/list-surveys 1. According to the documentation this is a GET request so I set POSTMAN to GET 2. The URL according to the documentation is https://yourdatacenterid.qualtrics.com/API/v3/surveys so I use that URL. 3. To authenticate my request I switch to the Headers tab in Postman and enter X-API-TOKEN as my header Key and my API token (found in your Qualtrics account settings) as my Value. 4. After I click SEND in POSTMAN this body of JSON is returned. @Akdashboard @AbdulDezkam do either of you have the API? These are pretty simple tasks with the API and knowledge of R or Python.

@Goodski when you use the incorrect data center it should respond with this ``` "Request proxied. For faster response times, use this host instead: yourdatacenterid.qualtrics.com" ``` What kind of request are you trying to make?

Hey Anthony, have you tried https://github.com/ropensci/qualtRics? That package pretty much does it all and has recently been brought under the ropensci umbrella so it will only get better. If you still want help writing the function I can certainly help but it would be easier to just use that package and not reinvent the wheel.

Forecasting NPS Results

I think you would have to build this outside of Vocalize. There is no way that I can think of to do any sort of true forecasting with the Vocalize tool. It just isn't designed for anything more than displaying survey results. If you wanted to display the values in Vocalize you would probably need to forecast outside vocalize, either in Excel, R, Python... Some tool that has a robust forecasting capability. Then put the forecasted values into a survey and map the survey into the existing Vocalize dashboard.

Failure of getSurvey() in the R API

I am running on Windows. This question would be best answered by the package creator by filing an issue at https://github.com/JasperHG90/qualtRics/issues. JasperHG90 can help you troubleshoot your problem.

Clock / Time Input Question

You may want to use javascript to trigger a time picker. I have used this one before: amsul.ca/pickadate.js/time/ Another cool thing you can do is use jquery and the Modernizr library to try and detect if the device is mobile and if it is, trigger the native time pickers.

You can calculate and save age using the script in this post which I found very informative : https://medium.com/@mc_bloomfield/javascript-and-qualtrics-getting-started-34f113cbeaaa Also, I utilized this picker in my survey and really like it: amsul.ca/pickadate.js/date/ However, one thing I did differently was to user the Modernizr library to detect if the device was a mobile device and if so trigger the native date pickers on those devices. It works pretty slick.

Failure of getSurvey() in the R API

Strange, I use the package daily with various automated processes and I am not having any issues. Have you tried sending the requests through Postman or something to see if they work that way?

I have not found a way to do it fully on the platform. If you have API access and know a programming language you could automate the process of downloading and reporting. That is what I do.

Is anyone out there using email signature link satisfaction surveys?

I think you would set embedded data in the URL of the signature link. Some sort of unique id that identifies the agent. Could easily just be their email. Then if you have actions you could create an email action based on your logic and have it sent to the agent.
