Hello. I'm trying to redesign a group of MAXDIFF QUESTIONS (matrix type) to include separator lines, borders and color. (A pic of what I'm trying to achieve is included.) Quite desperate at this point tbh. I found code that looked promising below, but it doesn't work. Hello, I hope this is a simple question: Can someone please tell me how to increase the right margin of a matrix-type table. I'm using a 5-point likert scale, but can only view 4 of the 5 points. Here is the screen capture:As shown above, it starts to cut off on the 4th scale point (Usually), and does not show the 5th scale point at all: "Always". Please help. I want each of my survey response options to be different colors when selected. Currently, the survey answers look like this:. . . and, when they are selected, all have the same blue color of the option below: Goal: Different colors for each selected option. For a previous assignment, a community member kindly shared HTML code that I inserted in the HTML view area for the question and it worked great. Out of necessity, I modified the parameters of the code for this assignment (e.g., QID# and label name) (see below) but it doesn't work at all this time. HI,I want to be able to limit the number of questions that a respondent can answer in a block. So, if I want them, for example, to answer 3 of 5 distinct text questions in a block, is there a way to ensure they can only answer 3 - and attempting to answer more than 3 would generate an error message?
Hello,I apologize if I've categorized this question incorrectly. Is it possible to create a question with different headers for each survey item? Below is a picture of what I'm trying to create:Each person will participate in an 3-day event be served different food options each day. At the end of the event, each person will be asked to select one food option they enjoyed most. In the above example, the person enjoyed most of all the potatoes, tofu, and cookies that they were served. I thought using a matrix-type question would work, but when I tried it, I am allowed to repeat headers (labels), but I the headers to be different as indicated above in the picture. Is it possible to do something like this? Is a matrix question the wrong option? Can anyone please help out? Alternate suggestions to Matrix-type questions (if not possible) are also appreciated.
Greetings.I have two 1 sec audio clips that play each time a survey is opened (see HTML code below). Ideally, I would like to delay when one clip plays for a second or so before the second clip plays. Can anyone recommend the best way to do this without javascript? Hi,Radio button accurately fills-in with background color when clicked. Works great. However, can someone please share code (non-JavaScript) that will remove the background color of a radio button when the respondent clicks the same answer a second time? Unfortunately, I don't have Java Script permissions with my version of Qualtrics, so any possible solution would need to take that into account. Hello, Everyone:On page 1 of a project, I've created a dropdown menu that includes a list of names (Last Name, First Name) of the select persons who have been targeted as respondents. EXAMPLE: "Doe, John" (Intentional formatting of names for ease in data analysis later.)On page 2, after respondents have chosen their names from the dropdown list on the previous page, I'd like to them to be greeted with a, "Hello (First Name Last Name)!" statement that reverses the format of the names from the dropdown list. EXAMPLE: "Hello, John Doe!"I was someone would know of and be willing to share code that would reverse the display the respondents' names from the dropdown list when they appear in greeting statement on page 2. I have no idea whether what I'd like to do is possible, but I'm living with a, "there is code for everything", philosophy at the moment that I'm putting to the test. 😊Thank you in advance for your help.
On to my next project. At the moment, my challenge at the moment is finding the code that will limit the number of text entries in a side-by-side question table to one (1). In other words, respondents will only be able to fill-in one textbox or the other. A picture of what I need is attached. In the example below, a tea expert has an option to describe "Green" tea or "Black" tea - not both even though there are two text boxes available. If the expert tried to write in both boxes, they would receive an error message or, in the simplest of terms, their text simply would not appear. I can figure things out fairly well, but it will take time. However, due to an fast arriving deadline, I a, willing to discuss freelancer work if necessary. As always, any help would be deeply appreciated.

Hello. I have 2 basic (hopefully) questions for formatting a side-by-side question (matrix).1) Can anyone tell me the code for aligning the comments to the right in a an SBS question? It appears that it formats to the center by default.2) Is there anyone who knows how to delete the un-used row in an SBS question - see red arrow below. Ordinarily, the labels "Answer 1, Answer 2, etc.) would be located in this space if I were using a multiple choice or other framework. However, since I am using a drop down menu for each column, this row is redundant. Help on any of these questions would be deeply appreciated.
Hello.I would like to add horizontal dividing lines or alternating row colors to my side-by-side question Since I do not have javascript permissions, an alternative solution would be most gratifying. Does anyone have any code they would be willing to share? Changing alternate row colors in the Old Look and Feel editor did not seem to have an effect. Ideally, I just want something subtle that makes it easier to differentiate the rows. Thank you in advance.
