I believe that every time you hit a page break or the end of a block, all the previous responses are saved.
If you are talking about exporting the answer data into a CSV file from the Data & Analysis tab, you can set up a filter based on survey metadata, contact fields, or embedded data.You can also set up these filters in the Reports tab
We went full work from home 3/13, and started back in the office three days a week right after the Fourth of July. I'm a team of one, so I haven't had to worry about team meetings. However, I have lots of internal clients (plus some external). Depending on their adaptability to tech, I've found that some prefer MS Teams chats, some prefer email, and some actually want to pick up the phone and call me. The phone means we have to start out chit-chatting, while on Teams we tend to get right to the point.
If you want to make sure it is a valid two-letter abbreviation, why not make it a drop-down box where they select the abbreviation, instead of entering it as text?
You can also send the survey preview link. They will be able to take the survey, but they will get flagged as previews, and later you can delete all the previews.
No, the Tour is still broken (#QualtricsFail). On a new survey, when I went to Crosstabs, I got the 20 minute message - so I went and did something else. When I checked back after at least 15 minutes, it was ready.
When I go to Crosstabs it first gives me a countdown starting by telling me I have about 20 seconds to go. Then when it gets to "One second left....." it just sits there for a minute or five. (plus you can't revert to old crosstabs until it loads) Once I have created a cross-tab, if I return to that survey it seems to load a lot faster
I tried this out, and it wouldn't let me use Progress as an embedded field name since it is reserved. So I will invent a new name and try that. I assume the "NewName=50" would be placed approximately half way through the survey?
Would it work if you just forced responses to the question?
If you have the survey option set to record their responses after x weeks since their last activity, they may get marked as complete if all they did was open the survey but not answer any questions.
I second the suggestion of making it two questions. If needed, you can use piped text to carry down the answer from the first question to include in the second question.
I don't see any menu item for themes. If it matters, we have not constructed our own themes, but have always used one of the built-in themes
If you are trying to change the text on the Next button, and it is at the end of a block, click on the Block Options down arrow at the upper right corner of the block, and choose "Next/Previous Button Text". You can change the text on all of them in your survey via the "Look and Feel" options.
Make your first survey anonymous and get your answers there, and on the thank you page set up a link to a second survey. The second survey only asks for the email address.

I second the suggestion for a pie chart - your readers will know that a pie chart shows percentages of the whole and sum to 100%, and will often realize on their own there is rounding. When you see a stacked bar chart, you aren't going to necessarily know it is supposed to sum to 100%
If you want multiple breakouts, another option is to export your data into Excel and turn it into a pivot table. Then you can have multiple levels, but you will have to create your own charts from the data (plus you need to understand pivot tables.)
If you want to remove people from the distribution list that haven't responded, you may be able to do that by editing your contact list and remove them that way. It depends if you have a good filter to find them on the list.
You can download crosstabs as Excel - those may be easier to import into Word than a PDF.
If you are allowing multiple responses, such as in a question "What social media sites do you visit?" I know that the research core of Qualtrics, when calculating the percentages, uses as the denominator the sum of all the responses. That is how you are getting percentages greater than 100%. If you want to see what percentage of each age group is using a particular platform, the denominator needs to be changed to the number of respondents to that question, or the number in each of your categories.
Because I have 20+ years experience in Excel, I normally export the Qualtrics reports as a CSV file. I have a number of Excel chart templates saved, so once the data is in Excel I can quickly turn them into charts that look exactly how I want them to look. Then they go into PowerPoint. I've spent time crafting the templates, which saves much more time on every project. For some datasets, I've also found it easier to export the data, turn them into a pivot table, and do the work there.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I could use anonymous link (we use that now) but I was hoping for the tracking. The other people can't sign in, because only the market research department has Qualtrics accounts, but the editorial staff only has access to the social media accounts. I will look into the URL string and Embedded Data approach
