Thanks for the responses everyone - I actually ended up contacting Qualtrics Support with this one and got an answer. The error message text from Salesforce is pretty misleading but I'll post the solution here in case anyone else is running into this issue. The above error occurs when the profile permissions of the Salesforce user linked to the Qualtrics account don't include Basic Access permissions (Read, Create, Edit, Delete) for the custom object the response mapping is set up for. Common Solutions: * Go into Salesforce as an Administrator, go into the profile assigned to the user, and edit their permissions to enable Basic Access permissions on the custom object they are mapping over to. * If the permissions are set correctly ensure the account is linked to the user with those permissions by logging out of all browsers and then relinking the account (should sign-in on the Salesforce home page). I had my Salesforce admin go in and update my permissions to give me edit access for
Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't look like that is the issue. I've named the field `permissiontest__c` in the embedded data and that matched the field I selected from the drop-down in my response mapping menu.
Yes - we were never able to figure this one out. I received this in the debug email from Qualtrics whenever my response mapping (was supposed to be) sent to Salesforce.
I checked with Qualtrics Support, and it actually looks like the name is limited to 200 characters. Thanks for the help, though!

I contacted the support team today and got this one figured out. They told me that this message means Qualtrics is not able to find the email address of the recipient in Salesforce mostly likely because it is connected to the wrong account. The survey was shared and the survey owner had not connected their account to Salesforce (this was my issue). The owner of the survey must connect to Salesforce from their account - we changed ownership of the survey to my account and I linked my account - everything is working correctly now.
Hi everyone! Since I was still experiencing the problem, I reached out to Qualtrics Support and it turned out that the issue was that the person I shared my survey with actually had their browser's pop-up blocker turned on and it was preventing the survey editor from opening in a new window. When they turned that off, they had no issues opening and editing the survey. Thanks for all the help and ideas, though!!

That is super helpful to know but not exactly what I was looking for. That response explains how a Salesforce admin can determine what fields are used to ensure people don't receive emails when other users are sending via the Salesforce app. I'm actually looking for a way to include a link for users to opt out of future distributions that will be triggered from Salesforce (i.e. allowing them to change the value of one of those fields mentioned).
@JasonHill That sounds like it would definitely work, but they would still have to click an "Unsubscribe" button for each mailing list, correct? Is there a way to get only one button they have to click to unsubscribe from all the lists?
@lillianc I'm making an Admin report. For my "Subjects" data source (with the filters "Filter by evaluation scope: Subject's Evaluations" and "Filter by Relationship Is Self"), it is showing that there are only 3 response counts, but when in my Participants tab, it says there are 4 individuals who have completed their self assessment. How can I fix this number in my report?

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone (@AnthonyR @KatC @VirginiaUKY) Unfortunately, we haven't yet completely solved the issue though I do have some more information. It looks like the user is able to open it up on their account when they are logged into my computer or another device (though the survey does open in a separate tab...not sure if that is normal).

@AnthonyR Good idea - I created a copy of the study and shared it with the same person and the same thing is happening. I don't have this issue sharing the project with other people, but those other people are in my same brand. This is the first person I've shared something with outside of my brand. They definitely have the permission to collaborate and the sharing is working since it shows in their account, so maybe there is an issue outside of Qualtrics that is causing a problem?
I've checked all of their permissions and they don't have a trial account - per all of their settings, they should be able to access the survey. It's strange because the project on their Projects page looks like it should be able to be accessed and they can actually click on the project, but nothing happens when they click it.
@AnthonyR They tried that, but it didn't seem to work. It's in their account and it's not grayed out, but when they click on the survey in their project list, nothing seems to happen. :/
