Dynamically randomized question text

DEMO_Question_Wording_Rotation.docxHi Isam,I was able to do this by:-Setting an embedded data variable to assign a random number to each respondent, 1 to 10-Creating two branches in the survey flow after the random number-Setting the first branch to include records where Random=1-5, and including a new embedded data field called QuestionText. I set QuestionText=What is your name? for this group.-Setting the second brand to include records where Random=6-10, and including the embedded data field called QuestionText. Is set QuestionText=What is your full name? for this group.Then in the survey question wording, instead of typing the question, I just inserted Piped Text from the QuestionText embedded data field.The survey exported to Word is attached.Hope this helps!-Pam

Import CSV file to use in embedded data possible?

Hi Tom and Justin,I think that if you collect the survey data, export it to a CSV, add a couple of fields such as Fiscal Year, and re-import it, that would work? You would need to then delete all of the original record so that you don't have duplicates.-Pam

How to create custom variables for Fiscal Quarter and Fiscal Year based on a date value?

Hi Justin,The answer is sort of yes and sort of no. We have a sampling department that processes our sample files before we load them to Qualtrics. We found one solution was to have the sampling team add a FISCQTR variable and just move it in to the survey as embedded data.Another option is to create an embedded data variable in the Survey Flow, and populate it based on a date that already exists in the dataset. For example, if Quarter=2, FISCQTR=3. However, you can't base it on the date of the survey, as far as I can tell -- metadata cannot be a condition for Branch Logic in the Survey Flow.The best option I've seen so far is to create a variable called TRENDQTR or something along those lines. This variable would have a unique value for each combination of fiscal year and fiscal quarter, so that you only have to filter on one variable when you are looking for data from a certain quarter.If you do that, you can create trendline charts using the Simple Chart widget type, with TRENDQTR a

Hi Juliana, I was able to open the Word document when you sent it in a message. Some possible causes for the difference in scores are probably due to the question response scales, although I can't verify this without seeing the actual questionnaire:-Answer scales are different in the actual questionnaire (1-7 vs. 1-5 or 1-3, etc.)-Answer scales may have been fully labeled in one question ("Which do you best identify with?") but not fully labeled in the other question ("How have you been feeling over the past week?")-Answer scales may not have been balanced. For example, a balanced scale could be:1 Extremely dissatisfied234 Neutral567 Extremely satisfiedWhile an unbalanced scale could be as follows, where there is only 1 true negative response choice and 3 positive response choices:1 Extremely dissatisfied2 Slightly satisfied3 Very satisfied4 Extremely satisfied-It's also possible that recoding in the dashboard is making some answers not show their real values.

Surveying during Pandemic (COVID-19 effect on scores and response rates)

Agree with all that is mentioned above, and want to add that Message Testing is even more critical during this time. For example, companies who fight their employees' unionizing efforts and refuse to provide essential employees with masks should not be advertising how employees are the core of their business.

Covid-19 Text Topic

For my clients, I am doing two additional types of reporting which are not time-intensive. They both involve CX Dashboard pages.1) Creating a duplicate of core dashboard pages that show trend charts, with the trending time intervals shorter than what the clients normally look at. So the clients can now look at weekly data rather than monthly, or monthly rather than quarterly.2) Creating a COVID-19 comments page with multiple Response Grid widgets. This consolidates all comments from multiple surveys on one page. The widgets are then each filtered on comments including certain keywords (like the folks above mentioned). Our keyword list currently is: corona, virus, coronavirus, epidemic, pandemic, crisis, laid off, layoff, unemployed, quarantine, isolation, isolate, lockdown, lock down.
