I have tried MANY different solutions, but remain unable to reduce the white space in my survey to help a Site Intercept display correctly. What am I missing? The only thing to make a dent is standard “look and feel” options to reduce to “compact” question spacing, no custom code has done anything. Is there a way to use validation rules and change the text for the "Request Response" validation option? I have a survey where we wish to capture name and email address to distribute survey incentives. However- I would like to give participants the option NOT provide their personal info, but still submit the survey. I can set up a custom validation so that if the fields are left blank they get the standard request response: And if I use custom validation, I get the right message: However, I can't manage to both 1) Check information for accuracy (valid email) AND 2) Allow the user to not send anything. Any suggestions on how to do both?
I have a project where I need users to rate 56+ Items across the same 3 questions. Obviously Loop and Merge is the best way to accomplish such a repetitive task! However, I also would like to use the Table of Contents features. It would be wonderful for users to be able to jump from item to item, and just to see how far they've made it. When I had this to the survey flow, the only thing the Table of Contents shows is "Block 1"- my Looping block. Any ideas/insights that can help me use these two features together? Or design similar functionality?
My senario is this: I want individuals to enter their origin: "Zip Code A". From there, I would qualtrics to be able to reference a database of Zipcodes to determine how far "Zip Code A" is from my location, "Zip Code B". I can easily make a list of possible Zip Codes A and their distance from me in a spreadsheet. But how do I get Quatlrics to reference that and spit out a distance for me to use in embedded data calculations? We're working on a LEEDs survey to measure the C02 Emissions incurred by respondents as they travel to our building. I need to take this distance and be able to multiply it by the number of trips the respondent takes in a week, multiplied by the C02 Emissions incurred by each method of transportation. Without Qualtrics doing half this work for me, I'm in for a really long analysis. But it definitely feels like something I should be able to use math operations for pretty easily if I can solve this "distance" problem.
I have encountered an insanely obnoxious bug that is making so personal links don't export. ! I have uploaded my list, no problems. But every time I go to distribute the survey and export the links, no links are in the spreadsheet! Qualtrics support filed a bug report, but it doesn't help me right now. I've remade the contact list, the survey project, tried every combination of new stuff possible. I have no idea what is causing this/ My stakeholders wanted this out two days ago and I am at a loss! How do I get this out to my customers? Has anyone experienced this, and has a workaround? Is there a way to leverage that unique Contact Id and appended it to the anonymous link to associate the panelist data?

I have a survey project scheduled to go to 6,000 contacts. When I did a soft launch to just 200, however, an error was discovered! Thank goodness for little tests. I need to create a whole new survey project to send to the remaining contacts. I don't want to bother the initial 200 with a second survey, however. Does anyone know an expedient way to identify the "non-soft launch" people? I can't think of anything sort of exporing them all and cross referencing my soft-launch sample, and then re-uploading them. Which feels really cumbersome! I could be wrong but it really feels like there should be a faster way to do this...
I'm trying to change the colors of a likert scale so that if they select a dissatisfied option, it turns red, satisfied green, etc.. But I'm having trouble getting it to work. My organization is relatively new at launching market research surveys, so I'm still learning some of the ins-and-outs of increasing participation. I could use the opinions of some seasoned MR folks for my distribution problem... I want the sponsor of my survey to remain anonymous (revealing my company name may skew results). We have contracted with a panel provider, who couldn't get _quite_ the numbers I needed for a statistically representative sample. So I want to supplement the panelist numbers with a few responses with contact info sourced from a B2B 3rd party contact provider. The panel provider company misunderstood where this list came from; while initially they agreed to do the distribution to my email list on my behalf (keep my company's name out of it), now they are saying they can't work with contacts sourced from a 3rd party. I'm working on training someone in Qualtrics. As the sole user for my org, I haven't put together any process documents explaining the process. While we've trained on the process one-on-one, we thought it might be nice to compile a "checklist" to help the new users make sure they are checking everything they should have their eyes on- from testing the survey flow, to making sure the expiration date is set, to standards for uploading panelists, etc. I thought it might be nice to ask the Community- does anyone have any "Checklist" guides they are able to share? I bet you all have things that I wouldn't have thought to articulate.
Does anyone have a good way to calculate completion rates when you have Salesforce Integrations running the triggering and emailing of the survey? I need the completion rate for 1 survey within a set time frame (last quarter)- not the orgs overall completion rate. Because SF integration sends each invitation/customer as it's own distribution, I can't pull a list of everything that occurred in the last 3 months in the standard Survey distributions tab in the research core. I have my IQ directory sorted so that every survey has it's own corresponding List. I used to be able pull stats for the list. I know it doesn't say what survey the contact received so the stats might not be _exactly_ for that survey only, but it got me close enough. I took the count of "last invitation date" divided it by "last response date" and called it a completion rate. But now that we've been running Qualtrics and IQ directory for 3 years, and the integration has been running for 1.5... I can't trust the
I launched a survey that was to be open for about 3 weeks. The default survey setting has it recording responses after just 1 week- a very annoying feature which I overlooked! I have several respondents who have half-completed surveys which are now "recorded" and closed, although they are not complete. Is there a way to sort of "reset" their links so that when they receive a reminder next week they aren't shut out of their incomplete survey?
Hello all- I have a set of two questions of concern. One which asks respondents to select the state they reside in, and a second which asks respondents to rate the attractiveness of other states. ! I want to ensure that respondents are asked to rate their home state. However, in displaying a subset of other states, I also want to make sure their home state doesn't appear twice. As it this set up on the screen shot, their home state and the other states present might mean 2 "Kentucky"s appear. Is there a way to ensure that the home state does not appear twice? If I try to carry forward and use advanced randomization, for some reason the "Selected choice" ends up on the random subset category which I do not prefer. Furthermore- it may still display twice, correct? !
I'm launching a market research survey where I do not want it to be apparent my organization has sent you a survey until we send a "Thank You" email. Is there a way to mask the brand name the URL I send on the invitation? I can not use the shortened anonymous link. I need individual links to be sent so I can distribute gift card rewards when the complete the survey.
My organization is moving from a 10 point satisfaction scale to a 5 category Likert scale for all satisfaction surveys. Our final metric will be the percentage of "Happy Customers" we have (those who will say they were either "somewhat" or "very" satisfied with our service). I need to calculate baseline data for next year. At first I assumed: 1-2 = Very Dissatisfied 3-4 = Somewhat Dissatisfied 5-6= Neither satisfied nor dissatisfied 7-8= Somewhat Satisfied 9-10= Very Satisfied. So.... 7-10 is a "Happy Customer". This gave us some really high numbers. We tried to set targets a little lower to allow for some wiggle room in our assumptions. But leadership is now arguing that if our numbers are so high, surely our targets must be high too. Re-calculation now to assume that 8-10 is a "happy" customer.... But... Has anyone else made this switch? What sort of assumptions did you use to set baselines? How accurate were there? Anyone know any articles on how respondents interpret the dif
For some reason I can't get info into my Develop Sandbox. I keep getting the same Debug error: _"Entity type cannot be inserted: Survey Response(CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY)"_ It doesn't appear to be about permissions or field permissions; I can log in and manually create the object just fine. Any troubleshooting ideas?
I want there to be a floating button at the bottom of the page which, when pressed, presents something that looks like a PopOver. The closest I can come is either a button that opens a whole new window (kind of clunky looking) or settling for a hovering button that slides to reveal the intercept (also looks odd if floating, not a tab). Any solutions?
