Nah, never the wrong community. I'm on both. I need someone that has worked with both Gainsight and Qualtrics, which is probably not too common, but that's why I'm here. Lots of folks in this community are very creative in solving problems so worth a shot.
Thanks, ahmedA. I think even before that, I need to know if Gainsight is able to send some event to Qualtrics. I'm not looking to pull data out of Qualtrics, but rather send data to Qualtrics. Perhaps I'm thinking about this wrong though based on your comment. Maybe the way to go would be to send data to Gainsight and have the Qualtrics survey sent from Gainsight.
ahmedA - Thanks for the reply. Is this actually possible? The problem I have is the Gainsight team is a totally different team. I am trying to set up a meeting with them, but it was very unclear in the Gainsight API documentation I read if this is an open API. They also have the SFDC edition and the NXT Gainsight platform, which seem to have different API capabilities. Just curious if this is something that you have had any success with and if so, which 'platform'. Configure External Action from GainsightAPI Integrations
Thank you for your response MatthewM . My biggest concern was the what you mentioned above about the survey being started. The question at the beginning idea is interesting. I don't love the idea of having our customers answer a question that only benefits us, with their time being limited. May not be a big deal so something to think about. I'm currently leaning to having 2 separate surveys, one for the email respondents and the other for the interviewer to contact those that didn't respond to the email and then mapping them together in a dashboard. Still a small risk that a person could complete both, but unlikely. This would make a cool feature if you could go into a distribution and click something that initiates a variation of the survey for instances like this and tracks it. I don't know how often this kind of thing is happening. Appreciate your help!

Sure.We want to use an anonymous survey link in a feature developed in our product that can pop a message up similar to intercept, but it is in our product. Our product doesn't have any merge fields to use as parameters and we don't want to invest in development work to try and pass values to the URL plus there are always concerns with security and privacy passing over the URL. We want to ask for basic contact info for follow-up and reporting since we deliver this survey via email as well. I am looking to populate these contact fields as if they were in our embedded data, I think mainly for the dashboard, but I suppose I could map a response to the form field to the contact fields. I may be overthinking this. I'm not sure if I explained my goal well enough, but maybe there is a different way then what I have envisioned. We could upload our contacts and authenticate them. The contact data changes daily so maintaining the list seems like a large effort. I was thinking that there might

Qualtrics support says that this is actually controlled by the browser and has nothing to do with Qualtrics. Each browser has different time out settings.

@Kate, thanks for your response. I'm looking for a fixed box size. I don't want the respondent to change the size of the box when taking the survey. I essentially am looking to get rid of the bottom right corner tool that lets you drag the text box to a different size. !

Ok, I am struggling to get this to work. The best I got was a button at the very bottom of the left corner. Nothing I did to specify where I wanted it seemed to work, so I just used body and that was the only one that actually displayed. ! @Appzk Thanks for your responses. That would be true on a matrix table, but this is a slider, which doesn't have that nice feature. I ended up using CSS to get the desired effect. ! For the first issue, I can certainly hide the text, but my intention was to remove that entire legend. Unfortunately, each legend isn't unique and when you remove 1, you remove all. Our UX team actually changed their direction, so I was able to utilize the question as it was designed. Thanks again for your follow up. -Mike
Just an update from my end...I was able to get it to show up on the 2nd article that i select. For some reason, the survey never shows up on the first article that I select, but any articles after that I see the survey. Is there a potential timing issue? Does anyone know how I might be able to address this? Thanks, Mike
@npetrov937 This is great thank you. Would any of this be possible if we aren't sending an email? We are trying to use the website feedback tool (site intercept) so there isn't an email being sent. We are trying to capture the information that exists in our product. Would the same method work by setting up a variable? Is there anything unique about the variable doing it this way? This is what I have set up. I was told by the developer that he set up a variable called qualtrics.AccountId, so I assumed I could capture this value from JS? ! Am I doing this incorrectly? @SAustin thank you for the reply. The survey is run by a different group in our organization that teaches Education classes and we often do not know the contacts until they are already in the class and trying to take the survey, which at that point it is too late. We also do not want to opt them into the entire directory since they have opted out of our email surveys, just want to opt them into the education survey. They are choosing to take the survey at the end of the class, which is in a sense, opting into the survey, but just that survey. Ideally there would be a way to opt the contact into only that contact list when the API call is made, but I don't think that is possible.
I am just finding this out myself as we are trying to bring in our data into our data warehouse. This is not good. I second the question "why is this mapping included in the CSV and not the json export data?"
