I have customers saying that they get timed out of the survey. Is there a default time out setting?

Qualtrics support says that this is actually controlled by the browser and has nothing to do with Qualtrics. Each browser has different time out settings.

Theoretically a cookie can live for quite a long time, like 3000. However, Qualtrics Support is not disclosing everything here, because the server usually sends an expiration date of the cookie.
From the little digging around that I've done with the cookies, it appears that Qualtrics sets the life of a cookie to be 6 months, for a survey that doesn't have a close date..
