Hello, has this happened to anyone else?Background: We have workflows set up that have worked for years emailing to different addresses with our domain, both user addresses (e.g susan@ourschool.edu) and distribution addresses (e.g. it@ourschool.edu).Problem: On Thur Apr 18th, all distribution addresses stopped working - we’ll test and upon survey submission, emails will successfully be delivered to susan@ourschool.edu but not it@ourschool.edu. I talked with Qualtrics support & they can check individual addresses like it@ourschool.edu , and for each they’ve said that Qualtrics has flagged the addresses for being marked as spam too much, so we have to one by one ask Qualtrics to unflag the address and then it works again.Question: Nothing has changed on our end. Qualtrics says nothing has changed on their end. We have all the allow list addresses, etc, in the firewall. But for some reason, suddenly we are setting emails from noreply@qemailserver.com as a high spam score even though i
We are creating a user deprovisioning/deletion policy and looking to see what everyone else does. We have hit our user seat limit multiple times. How do you manage regularly deleting inactive user accounts at your company?Here is some relevant information I’ve learned and the associated problems:Deleting a user can be done via the API:This deletes any contact lists the user has Survey workflows and library messages stay, so existing surveys don’t break. Surveys don’t get deleted but float in space. Concern: Surveys need to be transferred manually in the admin console (by design; I checked with Qualtrics support), and some of my users have over 400 surveys. Exception: you can call the update survey API to update an owner - but have to make this call for one survey at a time and using the current owner’s API key…. so first you have to assign everyone at the organization an API key…. and figure out where the survey needs to go…. Via the API, I can, given a user’s API key - which not all users have - get a list of all that user’s surveys and surveys they’re collaborating on- limited to the first 100 surveysQUESTION: Does assigning an API key via API overwrite an existing API key? I was thinking about looping through all users and assigning an API key, so that I can then loop through users and get a list of their surveys, but I’m worried it’ll overwrite any existing API keys and break any API calls the user has. Hi, we’re automating deleting inactive users / users that have left my organization. I’ve made an “archive” user to transfer data to in case it’s needed in the future. Question at bottom, if you want to skip ahead. So far, I can:Via the API: Get a list of users and each user’s basic information Delete a user Given a survey ID, get information about that survey Theoretically, given a survey ID, get all responses for that survey - but I don’t have this working. It looks like this can be done via the admin console - I’m downloading the report now. Hello,I have a results report with a text entry question that I need broken out or otherwise shown by a multiple choice question. You can view it here. You can see the survey here My goal is in the text entry question of this report to not show text if no one has chosen it, and for a breakout not to appear if no one has entered anything for that option.I don’t care if this is done with the column option or the breakout option, as long as it works!This is a test so only has three choices, but my actual survey has a large number of choices and it’svery difficult to find which choices have text worth reading when they all appear in the breakout.I tried filtering the report on choices not being empty, but that filtered the whole report. I have a text entry question with flatpickr to pick a date, and jquery using embedded data (if it exists) to set the date text. (The idea is that if we already have a date on file, it fills that; otherwise, the user picks a date). Hello, in Survey Flow I have a web service where I am calling an API with a GET request. This works and returns JSON like this: Name:Color.Susan:PurpleBob:GreenGarett:Blueetc. So the keys are dynamic. Qualtrics will let you save values as embedded data if you know the keys.... but I don't. I need to save both keys and values as embedded data that I'm calling person like this:person1name:Susanperson1color:Purpleperson2name:Bobperson2color:Greenperson3name:Garettperson3color:BlueI can't figure this out? All the embedded data setting examples I find you have to know the key and you can only save the value. I have two questions, which are both multiple choice, but the last choice is "Other" with a text entry box. Has anyone connected Qualtrics and Canvas successfully? If so - how? What are you doing with it? Was your solution easy to set up or did it require a lot of support from IT?We are looking in to connecting Qualtrics and Canvas to be able to control access and pass name/email between the two applications. I am trying to have a retake link where some of the questions and selected answers can be viewed but not edited.I know how to skip questions completely in the retake, and I can show or hide questions based on the retake link. But I cannot figure out how to in the retake link show some of the questions and selected answers, but read-only. I think it's possible with javascript but I have all sorts of question types - multiple choice, text entry, dropdown, file upload.For example, imagine that a student takes a test in Qualtrics, and the professor is reviewing that test and putting comments in a new text entry question at the bottom for students. I don't want the professor to accidentally change any of the students' answers. - (Please note that this is just an example scenario to get the idea across).Thanks!
I have a survey where a student fills out the survey and then the professor gets a retake link to verify and sign at the bottom. I have an action set up that's an email task upon survey submission (NOT survey updated) so that when the student submits the survey, the re-take links gets emailed to the professor.I followed these steps from the documentation, including the action email task, and it all works. https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/data-and-analysis-module/retake-survey-link/However, once the professor retakes the survey and hits submit at the bottom, Qualtrics is counting this as a new survey response and it gets emailed once again to the professor. In Actions->Reporting, you can filter via Response_ID. I want to have a physical list of all Response_IDs from actions->reporting.Is there an API endpoint I can call to get all the action reports? Does anyone have example code?(There's a bug where not all responses are triggering the actions they should. The actions aren't failing; they simply aren't happening. Qualtrics support is trying to fix the bug, but meanwhile I'm trying to see how wide spread the problem is by contrasting the Response_ID list from Data & Analysis with the Response_ID list from Actions->Reporting).
We have a file upload question requesting video and are expecting ~1,000 responses. According to the Qualtrics documentation, the limit on a single upload is 100MB. But is there a total limit to storage for my survey or account? How many 100MB responses can I receive before people start getting a message like "storage full" when they try to upload something? Is storage done on an account basis or on a brand basis, so all upload storage is shared across the brands?
Sample survey attached. I have a form in a Qualtrics survey with text questions about what changes the user proposes to a course. My goal is to export and see each response in something easily formatted like a Word Document or a PDF - but keeping each response together. _Sub-goal: To not show unanswered questions (vs gray "Respondent did not answer this_ Here is a sample from the survey: ! Thought 1: In Data & Analysis, you can export each response individually as a PDF. I see in the docs that you can't do a mass export. But for individually - is there a way to change what's in that PDF? The default map, for example, doesn't matter, and it would be really nice to only show the questions the user answered (there are going to be ~20 questions and people might only answer 4 or 5 of them, and it'd be nice to see nothing instead of the grayed out "respondent did not answer this"). When inviting someone to collaborate on a survey, they get an email informing them they've been shared on a survey with a "Log In" link. Screenshot of email: ! Historically, this login link has always pointed to our brand SSO login - my-organization-id.qualtrics.com. Sometime between June 2019 and Dec 19th 2019 (I don't know exactly when, but I have an email from June that's correct and an email from Dec 19 that's wrong), this Log In link changed to point only to "ca1.qualtrics.com". This not only confuses our users but, more importantly, is the wrong login link! This is happening to all users in our company when they collaborate with other users in the company. When editing a survey & inviting a user to collaborate, the company directory is still attached and email addresses autopopulate. Does anyone have any idea what's changed, and more importantly, how I change it back?
Given that APIv3 is coming out in November, I want to send a message to all my users that are using the API. However, I don't want to send a message to all 10,000 users. In my brand, users don't have the API enabled by default. Everyone is provisioned as a standard Qualtrics user, and when someone wants the API, we go in to their account and check "enabled" on the API line. I want to search through all my users to find only those that have API enabled, so that I only email those people about the November change in API. The user search has User Type, but everyone is a Standard User. Is there a more fine grain search? Is there an API that I can use, perhaps I can write a quick Python program, to search for users in my brand that have the API enabled? Thanks!
_Caveat: I know that there are better ways to build out this survey, but unfortunately I'm in charge of analyzing the survey results, not editing the survey - the survey has already been created, distributed, and has about 200 responses._ I need to average matrix questions. For example, look at this survey What I need is: A bar patron's overall satisfaction per question/category (averaging forks, spoons, and knives for silverware; averaging plates/bowls for tableware; averaging the three types of glassware). Then, a bar patron's overall satisfaction - averaging literally all of it. Then, both of the above for restaurant patrons. Then, both of the first two for all patrons. My goal for that example survey is this: * "Bar patrons have an average satisfaction of 3.5/5 for silverware, 1.5/5 for tableware, and 4/5 for glassware.
