Hello,I am sending out a survey to about 300 customers hoping they complete it via the email survey. After about 2 weeks, I am going to have someone reach out to these customers and try and speak to them via phone call, essentially asking the same questions, just more in conversation format.I'd love to just pull the distribution and send the URLs from those that didn't complete the survey and have the internal employee click the link and fill it out after the call. I want to identify that this was completed via a phone call. I've added an embedded data field phone_call and appended this to the end of the URL phone_call=Y at the end of the URL, which works as long as the customer hasn't started the survey. I should note that I'd like to include an extra comment box if this is a phone call, hence the embedded data field to allow the display of the 'hidden' question. Has anyone done anything like this? I have customers saying that they get timed out of the survey. Is there a default time out setting?
Hi,I have a use case where I have 3 groups and a total of 4 blocks of questions that are shared with the groups...Group 1 has the chance of seeing all 4 blocks of my survey, however they will only be displayed 2 and it is randomized and evenly presented.Group 2 will only see one specific block.Group 3 can see 3 of the blocks and also evenly presented at random.This means that there is no 'last block' that everyone sees where I could have a submit button. I am curious if there is a way to show a submit button when there is no definitive last block (And I do not want to add a block at the end that everyone sees. I don't want more questions and I don't need to ask anything else)Is there any way to identify that a block displayed is the final block? Anything that you can tap into with JS? I'm thinking that something has to tell Qualtrics that this is the last question of the survey or maybe the number block that is shown. Any thoughts? Is this possible?Thanks,Mike
Hi, I am looking for a way to take an embedded data field that contains an email address ie "john . doe @ abc.com" and replace the @abc.com with @xyz and write that back to the same embedded data field. Can this be done with JS in the survey? Any idea how?*didnt mean to put this question in 'Best Practices" Please move if needed.
Hello, I am struggling to figure out how I can capture a Salesforce Community member's information while using Site Intercept/Website Feedback. We have the tool sitting in our Lightning Community and I want to be able to capture information about users that are authenticated. I've been told to use Java, Apex, this and that, but really hoping someone on the Qualtrics Community has done this or has experience with something similar. Thanks for your help. -Mike
I want to ask first name, last name and email in the survey as a form field, but i want to then pass those values into the contact embedded data fields. Is this possible?Example: First Name: Mike.... then "Mike" gets populated into the value for the Qualtrics RecipientFirstName field.
I have an image in my saas product that I would like to trigger a survey from when clicked. I want to pass contact attributes with the completed survey, so I am thinking the best way is an Intercept (but please correct me if there is a better way). Has anyone done this before? Is there a way to set a fixed text box size in qualtrics? I am using the survey in a site intercept and don't want users to change the size of the box because of other formatting changes that happen. Thanks, Mike
This is what my UX team wants: ! The submit button is easy, but getting a cancel button seems impossible to me. I tried displaying the back button, but that didnt seem to work. This is being used in an intercept and to keep with our branding, they want to offer this cancel, which essentially does the same thing as the 'X' button at the top of the page, but they want it to be next to the submit button...why, i dont know. But, has anyone done this in a survey before? Or have any ideas on how this could be done? Thanks for your help. -Mike
Does anyone know how to edit the question itself, not just text. I want to totally remove the "Click to write the question text" completely so it is not even there or minimized to its smallest size and then extend the "1. Rate your overall experience" so it doesnt wrap like it is now. Is this possible in Qualtrics? **ignore the spelling and gramatical errors, just trying to mock something up> ! Thanks, Mike
Hi All, Does any know if it is possible to have you core set of questions, let the recipient complete the survey, but then after the response is captured ask them if they want to answer a few more questions? I know you could use display logic, but my fear is that once they respondent sees the 'do you have time...' they ill close out the survey and we will lose the response. We don't report on partial responses so i was wondering if there was a way to capture the response as a complete, then to throw up the additional question or do if the respondent agrees to do so. Anyone do this currently or know how this can be done? Also, we want to have the same information about the respondent that we have in the previous responses. Thanks, Mike
Hi All, I am trying to embed a survey within a Salesforce Article template. I tried using a simple div id and using that as the insertion point, but the survey does not display. Hi everyone, We are trying to use the Website Feedback tool within our product and our developers are trying to understand how Qualtrics can capture this information as embedded data. I am not a developer, but they asked me for examples of ways to use JS to store the information so that Qualtrics can pick up the values using the embedded data feature. Does anyone have an example of how one might store a person's name or email in an JS expression? Thanks for your help. -Mike
Hi All, I am running a series of API calls to essentially create a survey link used in our student portal for our students to take an end of class survey. The problem I am running into is that if the student has opted out of the directory previously, they are not able to take the survey because a link will not be generated due to opt out even though they are choosing to take the survey (essentially opting into that survey). Is there any way to do this through an API? These are the API calls I am using in this order. 1. Create a New Response (This is the Distribution Survey) 2. Create a contact in the mailing list 3. Create a contact transaction 4. Create a transaction batch 5. Generate Transaction Batch Distribution Links 6. Run List Transactional Distribution Links Thanks, Mike
Has anyone ever used an API to create a survey record(incomplete) and then retrieve the URL for this record. On a different application we use a POST CREATE_PARTY request where we pass many embedded fields to create a record in the survey application and return the survey url for that record. We do this in our student portal where ultimately what the student sees is a link they click, which opens their survey. I want to do the same with Qualtrics but am not seeing this in their help docs.
