Does anyone know if Q_EED functionality can be used with the Survey Director? It seems like it isn’t based on my testing but I would love other’s thoughts on it if that have found success. I have successfully been able to pass regular embedded data with Survey Director. Thanks!Adam

Thanks Tom and Ricmarug! I think one of the options will work. The Select2 may take more time than it is worth (building and maintaining the data repo elsewhere I mean), but I love knowing that is an option in the future.
Tushar, Thanks for thinking of that, but unfortunately, reference survey blocks do not allow you to add more questions to them. Otherwise, that would be an ideal scenario.
The email body worked for me several years ago, but it was triggered with a JSON event task. I imagine a different workflow task type might not work the same way. It may have also changed by now.
I haven't used it in a while because i got frustrated with it (truncation/updating/etc), but i think you can rebuild the data join as a new data source and then replace it as you mentioned. By the way, I now use the API to pull data on my own basis and then query that with Tableau - its way more flexible.I'd recommend opening a whole new Tableau instance and building it there. I don't think a new column of data should prevent your join type there - unless you are somehow joining on that which it didn't seem like. Once you feel comfortable with the mimicked data there, you can copy/paste a sheet with anything on it form the new data set to the old work book. Once pasted, you can replace the data source as mentioned. You could do this in the old Tableau instance likely but a fresh instance may be easier to deal with. Copying and pasting between workbooks is super handy.
I think the design here is to avoid us users from spamming people with the platform. I have seen this behavior too and it is frustrating. However, I'm fairly confident something can change in the email body and it doesn't have to be in the subject line. I think you could test it out to be safe. You could make the body text white to hide it temporarily. Although, I wouldn't leave it like that given it may increase hits on spam filters.Good luck!
So, i think you may be able to use the display logic when set to "Is Not Empty" to accomplish this. It dragged a touch after my space bar (like 1 second or less) but did seem to work. I think you would just need to setup a ton of text entry questions and sequentially add display logic to each of them referencing the item above it. The display logic does need to have in page turned on for this to work properly. Auto-advancing questions may or may not help as well. I don't think it was turned off in my test but I am not sure. You could naturally get rid of the text by replacing it with a space if you just wanted boxes. Lastly, this type of setup will give you columns and columns of data, but i think you new that already.Good luck!Adam
My go to for something complicated like this is to probably utilize the API and make edits to the surveys on a scheduled basis. That is, you could code out a solution to delete the right data elements without interfering with other bits you need. This could get you started. i was able to speak with Q support and unfortunately, there isn't a great way to do this. I wanted to match the version in Qualtrics with the version in my database - which already existed. So, even with a survey in its first instance, the question might be version 10 and the options on version 2 in my database. That said, I'll put in a product idea.

Have you tried the "drill down" question type before. I think this could work but would take some slight altering of your question pattern and the original intent. !
Hi, There are likely several ways to do this, but a straightforward way may be to make the Goals a part of a persons contact profile - that is their embedded data. The first survey can update their contact listing data and the second survey can dynamically pull that data based on the updated embedded data. This is also helpful because that change will persist with them if you want it to and can be pulled in future iterations or monthly check-ins perhaps. You may want to limit the word count though on the initial goals or risk having huge text fields in the survey. Good luck!
