Custom code for making videos hosted in qualtrics library Full screen automatically

 We’re running an experiment where our short 6 second video clips need to ideally load in Full screen mode when the question displays allowing the user to click play on the play button that is auto-embedded over the screen. Javascript validation

I am trying to add a validation where I verify that the mean of the distribution provided by the participant in a constant sum question is equal to an embedded data field. Repeating Through A Set of Blocks Multiple Times

Hi,I have a quiz survey with ChatGPT integration. At the start of the quiz I have 5 hard coded questions the user will answer. After these 5 questions, I want to ask if the user would like an additional question or to finish the survey. If they chose additional question, I want to send them through 3 blocks that use the ChatGPT API to create a new question, which I already have set up. Once they complete this question, I want to again ask them if they would like an additional question or to finish the survey. I want this process to repeat as many times as the user wants, and only finishing the survey when they click the “finish survey” option. How can I accomplish this? I am having a hard time understanding if loop & merge can accomplish this.Thank you

Can I use REGEX for UK postcode in XM Discover Topic Building?

In Designer > Categorise does anyone have experience in using REGEX as part of topic rules?I’d like to use the UK GOV provided REGEX for UK post codes to capture comments where our customers may talk about network experience in a post code, for instance.“Please fix my broadband speed in SA1 7LT!”Any help would be magic.

Pulling data from Google Big Query

Hi!I´ve been kickin my head around ways to pull data from Google Big Query and couldn´t find anything in APIs or using Qualtrics´ native integration. Does anyone have the experience of pulling data from BigQuery into a survey in Qualtrics? If yer, what´s the path? How did you do it? 😀 Give me some light / guidance / hope.

Embedded Max Value

Ok so I have three questions all with the same answers: I want to convert the max answer to a percentile, only focusing on the highest answer of those three. Right now I have this: When I do that maxlifpresc is always the value of rxplif even when rxplif is the smallest. Does anyone have any ideas for this -- essentially embedding a new variable that depends on the maximum of the other three?

Dynamic text below slider question (+ mobile friendly)

Hi all, I am working on a survey that presents patients with a choice between two options, A and B. We want to ask participants the percent chance they would choose each option. The options are mutually exclusive and there are no other choices, so the percent chances of choosing each choice should add up to 100%.  I would like to use one slider instead of using a constant sum question with two sliders to reduce friction as participants take the survey, and add dynamic text below the slider that shows probability of choosing option A (selected using the slider) and implied probability of choosing option B (100% minus the probability of choosing option A). I would also like to make sure that the dynamic text works in the “mobile-friendly” survey version. I currently have the code below, which works in non-mobile-friendly version but does not work for mobile-friendly. Is anyone able to advise how to make this work in the mobile-friendly version, or is there no way to do this?  Thank you!

Embedded Data Question

Ok so I have three questions all with the same answers: I want to convert the max answer to a percentile, only focusing on the highest answer of those three. Participant chooses the order in which blocks of questions are shown

I want to create a questionnaire in Qualtrics containing a number of blocks (1 block for each of the domains). The participant should be able to choose the order in which he answers the different blocks (domains) or maybe answer only 2 of x domains. When he is finished with the questions for that domain he should get the possibility to answer the questions for one of the other domains. Or if he doesn't want to answer anymore domains, end the survey.How can I do this best in Qualtrics?Thanks in advance and best regards,Marc.

I no longer see the option to share a public report in the settings of the Results tab… it’s a very helpful option for sharing results live with stakeholders. What happened to it?!

Retrieving an array stored in Embedded Data - JavaScript

I stored an array containing integers as an embedded data field during a qualtrics survey (setEmbeddedData). I am able to use this array during the survey flow with the getEmbeddedData(<array>) method. However, when I export the data, e.g. as a CSV then only one element is displayed (apparently just the first element of the array). I know the solution would be to store a stringified array and this for sure will be visible when exporting (thing that I normally was doing), but in this case that was not done and the data was already collected so adding that modification will only help for future answers. I would like to know if there’s a way to recover that information somehow or if it is lost for good. Thanks everyone for the provided support.

Importing Survey Responses: Mapping Values Randomly Incorrect

I am importing responses from one Qualtrics survey to another, identical survey that is set up to communicate with an external data platform. At first, my import seemed to work just fine- the .csv when imported correctly identifies the right columns of the survey. However, seemingly at random, some questions within the list are not mapping correctly, and do not allow me to import my responses when remapped to be correct. These multiple choice answer questions do have a , so I think it may be an error because it’s detecting a delimiter, but many of my other questions have similar formatting and do not encounter this error. If I do not try to remap the answers, it will ignore them and will import, but there is no data for that question number. How do I correct my import options in order to correctly import all of my survey responses? default on the import of my .csv:the edits I tried to make:

Loading a csv file to personalise the questions base on the respondent- survey

Dear all,I am new to using Qualtrics products. I’m a student preparing to create a survey for my research. The survey aims to evaluate how informal and formal relationships in academia can influence the number of papers a researcher publishes.For each researcher participating in the survey, I need to present a list of their current or previous co-authors, and then ask specific questions about those co-authors. For example, if the respondent is Mark White and one of his co-authors is Anthony Blue, I would like to ask a question such as, "How long did you collaborate with Anthony Blue?"Is it possible in Qualtrics to upload a CSV file containing the names of respondents and their respective co-authors, and then use this data to create personalized questions for each respondent based on their co-authors?Thank you in advance for your assistance!Best regards,Rob

Can I create an accordion for a block of explanatory text in Qualtrics?

Survey Definition Response - data model discrepancies

HI, below are the all data model discrepancies I have found for REST endpoint: https://fra1.qualtrics.com/API/v3/survey-definitions/{surveyId}/versions/{versionId}.Why these are not documented anywhere? Survey options API returns attributes not in the documentation

I’m new to the Qualtrics API, and I’ve noticed that when I send a GET request to /API/v3/survey-definitions/{surveyId}/options The JSON I get in return includes many entries that are not included in the documentation. These are also not included in the documentation for the PUT request which update these settings. I can, however, update these settings in my survey using the API, but I have no idea what they do. Examples include settings like AutoConfirmStart, ConfirmStart, RelevantID, etc… Where can I find what these items mean? Separately, there are some items that are in the documentation but that don’t get returned by my GET API call. For example, Autofocus. This item doesn’t have a default value specified in the docs - so what value does it have if it doesn’t get returned? Thanks!

Get Survey data only for surveys that changed.

Do I have an option to call all https://xxx1.qualtrics.com/API/v3/surveys/ , but only the ones that has any update.  Do we have a filter here on lastModified?  I didn’t see documentation for that. The same question is about this API: https://api.qualtrics.com/{SurveyId}-retrieve-survey-json-schema Do I have a way to know that the schema has changed.The same for https://xxx.qualtrics.com/API/v3/surveys/ I don’t want to read it every day, only if a change has accrue.Thanks,Lihi

Anonymous Pulse Check Project Setup

We would like to internally implement some quick pulse check project for a new Qualtrics tenant. The tenant is blank and there is no integration in place. Therefore, the first pulse check is planned to be completelly anonymous. It should be distributed to all our employees. Below are my thoughts on the different packages and I would be interested if you see some better/easier approach to get this started. As base, we might use the EX25 template (or a blank engagement survey) and choose 10-15 questions which make most sense for our organization. We would not include any authenticator in the survey. SSO setup will take place at a later point of time.  We will adjust the dashboard template of EX25 to fit our survey. Breakdowns won’t make sense. Eventually, we could include some org hierarchy or other demographic questions to collect some information but this is still to be decided. One major question is the distribution. So far, we thought to publish the anonymous survey link e.g., via th

Adding Time Delay between API Call retries

When we make API calls from Qualtrics to other services, is there any way to add some time between retries? For example, when the call fails, it will automatically retry, but within a few milliseconds of each other. This generally results in continued failure. It would be great to be able to build in a long delay between automatic retries. Is this possible?
