Timer

Hello, I want to do an experiment where the participants see althoghter 8 persons (there are pairs and only one of them is shown) with some characteristics. I want to introduce a timer so that every profile is shown for 6 sec. Before I introduced the timer the survey was working but now not all of the 8 selected participants are shown and sometimes the timer is missing. Do anyone know a mistake? Something is Wrong with my JavaScript

I am trying to code a left and right key stroke and record the response while participants watch a video. It seems the right arrow key is working but the left arrow key sends the video back 5 seconds insted of recording the response. How to create a question where participants have to choose between two answers? but I don't want them to be able to answer both

Hi, I need to set up a question where I ask participants for how its been since they did some training.  They can answer either in months (if recent) or in years.  So the question is...how long has it been since you last completed supervision skills training….either provide your answer in months or years.  answer 1 (months): drop down options for number of monthsanswer 2 (years): drop down options for number of years. please could you recommend the best way to set this up? I don’t want them to be able to complete both answers.  Many thanks, Catrin

Can I name the browser tab that I open via a link in my survey?

Hello,I want to open several figma prototypes for review by respondents to my soon-to-launch survey. It would be helpful if I could name the browser tabs so the respondents could switch between them with confidence that they know which is which.Is this something I can accomplish by configuring my link? Max Diff or Pairwise comparison

I am about to embark on a Max Diff with around 20 features for an advanced SaaS product.  The only issue is that a few of the features are newer to the industry so need more explanation.  I was going to show a short feature introduction just for a few features but I feel that may influence responses (open to thoughts here)  otherwise possibly go down the pairwise comparison route and have a longer description for each feature.  Thoughts please!

Context: We want to capture feedback after customers interact with an AI chatbot assistant.Qualtrics’ documentation has addressed all of our technical questions. importing a single column

Dear community,I have collected data using a graphic slider question (Q1), but for the sake of improved data analysis and user interaction, I need to switch this to a standard slider question (Q2).The direct approach would be to simply change the question type within Qualtrics, but I understand that doing so would result in losing the already collected data for Q1. In an ideal world, I would create the new question (Q2) and then do a simple integration of Q1's data with Q2 by appending the old data (form Q1) to the new question format in Q2. This process seems straightforward in Excel, where it's a matter of copying and pasting data from one column to another. However, I'm unsure how, or even if, this can be replicated within the Qualtrics platform.Does anyone have experience with this type of situation or know if Qualtrics offers a functionality that could facilitate this data migration without compromising the integrity of the collected responses?Thanks.

Inclusive Branching question

I have a survey designed to screen and gather information on a wide variety of potential research participants. One of my questions is a multiple choice (one-answer-permitted) that sends different participants to different blocks with specifically tailored questions. What I would like to know is how can I change the question into a multiple choice (multiple-answer-permitted) and if a participant chooses 2+ they are sent to all the relevant blocks in sequence. Can someone advise?

Importing surveys to Qualtrics

Hello! I’m new to Qualtrics. My lab has many measures in a pdf format that they would like to put into Qualtrics. Looking over the instructions for importing measures, it seems only .docx and .txt files are acceptable to import if I want people to be able to fill out the survey in Qualtrics. Would it be easiest to make the pdfs into Qualtrics surveys manually?

Public-sector CX researchers: have you expanded your use of demographic questions?

Good morning all! As some of you may have heard, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) relaxed its guidelines last year about demographic questions and that asking about ethnicity, race, and gender is no longer considered to be sensitive. OMB has also released guidance about asking questions about gender identity: SOGI-Best-Practices.pdf (whitehouse.gov)I would love to hear from other Qualtrics users in the public sector about whether you have applied this relatively new guidance on asking ethnicity, race, or gender demographic questions in your surveys. If you have, have you received adequate responses from customers to be able to segment effectively? Have you received negative feedback about these questions? Please let me know as this will help us with our approaches to gathering customer feedback this year. Thanks in advance!

Average Completion Rates

Does anyone have any information about average completion rates for surveys on Qualtrics? I keeo searching but can’t seem to find anything on here. And also struggle in general research to see how this compares to normal completion rates.

Managing research recruitment lists // additive filtering

Every few weeks, I recruit design research subjects from an opt-in list / screener initially populated using MSFT Forms. For each research project, I want to refer to criteria from the initial screener (demographics, stated areas of interest, etc) and occasionally exclude individuals based on their participation in research. Currently I’m manually loading rows into an Excel sheet in order to permit sorting & filtering, by inserting a fresh row for each project. From this, I can sort, filter, and derive a list for each fresh recruit. This works for the relatively small number of research candidates - but isn’t scalable, and is pretty tedious! This quasi-CRM use case is not something I’d expect Qualtrics to handle out-of-the-box.But not having tried this sort of thing before with the platform, I thought I’d check for any pointers or tips. Am imagining for each recruitment attempt, I’d start from original screener, and I’d need to manually flag whether someone participated, in order t

Cookies and law in EME

Hello there, I am not fully aware of the cookie law in Europe. But usually, when you navigate a website in Europe, the first thing you see as end user is the cookie policy , then you have the right to accept or decline the cookies.  Under this context, I am wondering why Qualtrics is not showing the cookies to the end user (survey respondent) or asking the end user to accept/decline them. BR, Diego

Social Impact for not-for-profits

Hi,Wondering if anyone has conducted any social impact surveys with Qualtrics? I couldn’t find anything when searching the community and am keen to read any best=practise, examples etc.We do a lot of advocacy work with the disability community and are keen to put some metrics around the community benefits/improvements through a social impact study. Thanks

Do you read (consume) dashboards or know someone who does? We have a research opportunity!

Hello there!The UX Research team is running a study to understand the needs, pain points, etc. of people who consume dashboard data (as opposed to those who create dashboards). If you are someone who doesn't create dashboards, but does monitor or read them, we would love to invite you to a UX research session. The session will be conducted over Zoom, will last approximately an hour and will compensate you $150 for participating.
