I have tried several ways with qualtrics actual options but I am not resolving it. On the other side, with java script can be the solution but my skills are almost absent with the program. I want to download an external CSV file from a github into the javascript, filter it by the userID of the respondent, and then display the information contained in that user’s row in a table for the question. Hello! I’m an undergraduate research fellow and building a survey for my professor’s research project.To gain context for this question, in an attempt to gain more accurate answers for more stigmatized questions, for a page of the survey, respondents will point to “yes” or “no” on a page of numbers and the researcher will write down the number in the cell (and the point is that they won’t know if it is “yes” or “no”). However, in a pilot version of this survey (that was done on paper), there were a lot of errors in interviewers mixing up numbers (writing down a 7 as a 1, for example) and the Qualtrics survey is supposed to eliminate these errors. Therefore, I’ve set a custom validation for all of the questions on the page to only allow values that match a certain regex of numbers. This part works — however, I would like for when the interviewer attempts to go to the next page, the error message to be displayed on the exact cell where the incorrect value is written in instead of above t
Hi all,i have a list of 100+ plant species - each has been recoded as either a “0” or a “2” depending on their status.If i conduct a survey using any of the “2” species it doesn’t matter which one i choose, it will always get uploaded as one specific plant species. That is, regardless of which “2” species i choose it will always get put into Data and Analysis as the same one “Ulex” in this case.Equally if i choose a “0” species (any one of the 80 odd options) it will only ever show up as one species option: in this case “Acacia” What is going on? Is recode messing with the selection?

Trying to use Drag & Drop choices so people can rank their preferences. When the survey is complete I would like to get my results in and Excel or CSV and have “human readable” data for each line - but I am only able to get the numbers of the choices and not the actual text. So for example I want to see: Dave - pizza, ice cream, sushi, popcornLisa - popcorn, sushi, pizza, ice creamRalph - ice cream, pizza, popcorn, sushi But instead I’m getting:Dave- 1,4,2,3Lisa - 4,2,1,3Ralph - 4,2,3,1 When exporting the file under Data & Analysis, I choose “Download all fields” and “Use choice text” (instead of Use numeric values) -- But I still get numbers for each question in my Excel sheet. Any tips?

Hi, I have a question on the pie charts created in Qualtrics Reports. The data appear to show as counts in the “slices” of the pie chart, but I am looking for a way to display percentages (of the total responses) instead of count values. Is there a way to change this in the pie chart?
Hello,I would appreciate any guidance on being able to view a variable that I created via the statsIQ function in Reports please.I have used the slider question type to deliver the Personal Wellbeing Index, which is comprised of 7 statements with answer options ranging from 0-10. I need to create an average of each person’s responses across the 7 statements. I received advice in a previous thread that I should use the Create and Clean Variable function to do this, as detailed below:This worked, and I can view the data in the statsIQ section of my results. However, I can’t see these results in my reports. Should you be able to see this information in Reports? If so, can someone please advise me how I might be able to do that?Thanks for any advice

I want to create a mouseover effect on each statement that lasts as long as the hover is there over the text to minimize the amount of text in the statement. First, where do I write the script? We have the Google Maps Autocomplete enabled in our account. However, it does not appear to be pulling zip codes as part of the request. As we will be using this to validate shipping addresses, the zip code is critical to our use. See the image below. I’ve verified the output in Data & Analysis and it is not there either. I was hoping it would be, even if it’s not displaying on screen. Is there something different I need to do to make sure this information is captured? (For the record, I am one of our Brand Administrators, so I do have access to our Admin pages.) Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks,Kristi
I have a survey that we will be distributing with an anonymous link. The survey is available in English and Spanish, as are the confirmation emails that I have set up as a workflow to go out when new responses are submitted. Unfortunately, when the users submit the survey, it’s only sending the emails in English even though they may have changed the survey language to Spanish while filling it out. What do I need to do to trigger the Spanish translation of the email instead of the English one?
Hi All,My survey uses student ID and DOB e.g. 1234567 and 0101200Which works perfectly for those who put the correct details in. But for those who don’t, then get the first error message saying unable to log you in with details or words to that effect. Then a message appears to say if they make the same error again, that they have completed the survey. Is there a way to avoid this until they details are inputted correctly.When I export the data, it says it 100% complete so then not allowing them to get sent another reminder to complete. I have to go on and delete the response for those who don’t get in contat with me, and send a retake to those who do.

Hi, I have a question concerning using Qualtrics for my experiment. In the experiment I want to compare the results of two questions. The questions are framed in a slightly different way. I would like every respondent to answer the question in a survey and then answer the other version of the question a week later. Preferably it would be randomized who gets which question first, but it is important that they will get the other question 1 week later. Is there a way do this?
I am trying to program a web intercept survey for customers. I’ve using an old survey intercept that was created at our company by a former employee. They have a clause in their action set that says Current URL does not contain form token. Does anyone know what this might mean? On our website, we have both a pop up and feedback button survey available. I’m trying to figure out how to stop the pop up if someone has taken the feedback button survey and how to keep the feedback button active even if the pop up survey is taken. I wonder if this form token clause might be the reason???Thanks!
Hi,I need to conduct a longitudinal study with 3 data collection moments and I am not finding a suitable solution to link and distribute my 3rd survey at the correct time. I am hoping to receive some suggestions from the Community. Here is what I would like to do:Survey 1→ Respondents fill in the consent form to participate in the study, including identifiable information (name, email address).Survey 2→ Survey 2 directly follows Survey 1 (via URL or email task) and is linked to Survey 1 through an embedded “participant ID” (which was randomly generated in Survey 1). Survey 2 can be filled in right after Survey 1. In Survey 2, I ask participants to indicate when their therapy session will take place.Survey 3 → Here is what I cannot solve: I want to send Survey 3 to participants exactly the day after their therapy session. This day will be different for everyone, so I cannot automatize this and schedule a fixed time for everyone based on some rule. I do not mind sending Survey 3 manual
Hi,Qualtrics union doesn’t bring in data from both sources, it only brings in the similar fields and the rest have to be manually mapped. Is that the intended functionality? Shouldn’t union bring in all the data and just place the non similar fields as unmapped?
Hi,I am asking users to listen to a song and then answer a few questions about it.There are 100s of songs so I am using the loop and merge function to insert the song details for each loop. The data is in this kind of format - song details are in embedded fields + stored in the directory.This means I need a variable number of loops, based on the song count. Or for the loop and merge cycle to stop once it reaches an empty field. Is there a way to do this? Thank you!

I have a question where respondents can choose where they bought their product and a question where respondents can give the amount they spent in that webshop. Q1: Where did you buy product X?Shop A Shop B etcQ2: How much did you spend on product X?€ … I made custom metrics to calculate the revenue per shop, but can't figure out how to go from there to the actual market shares in qualtrics. Hi all,I am wondering if there is a way to add an option to a survey question, where respondent can click on a word or a button to then show a pop-up box with more information?I tried the method described in the below, but couldn’t get it to work. I followed the above, without really understanding it (!!) and I get my key word underlined and showing as a tool tip, and the info will show if I hover. However, how do I get this key word to be clickable on a mobile device? The code I have used in my survey question (HTML view) is below.
