Embed Contact List Name in Survey Response

Hi everyone,I need to email an anonymous survey to a list of contacts, and at a later date, send the same survey to a different list of contacts (...and repeat indefinitely). I need to be able to analyze the response for each survey wave differently (e.g. people in the first list said x, people in the second said y...).For now, I have been making a copy of the survey and sending each copy to a new list. Is there a better way to do this? For example, can I add an embedded data field that pulls in the contact list name?Thank you in advance!

Custom variable integration

Hello there everyone!I have a question regarding initializing a variable for an experiment I’m currently building. In general, I’m going to build a trust game where the participant will be the investor and will invest an amount of money in a trustee. The trustee will make the investment grow at an y% rate. After the participant makes their choice of how much to invest, I will want to show them their invested amount, and the amount over the investment they made with the y% growth.Is there a way to make this with qualtrics?  Thank you ahead!

Display logic

Q42 is a hidden question where used display logic “preview”. Here i captured data from embedded field. This Q42 is used for loop. The problem is, Q42 and loop works correctly in Draft but didn’t work in live/Published and we donot have any real respondent data.

How to carry forward randomized order of a subset of multiple choice response options to next question

I would like to do the following with questions Q10 and Q11 (screenshot below): Step 1. Randomize the order of the 1st 7 response options (the brands) while anchoring the last 2 response options (which are both “exclusive” response options). This Step can be done using advanced randomization.  Step 2. Carry over the randomized order of the 1st 7 response options (the brands) in Q10 to Q11 (i.e., the randomized order of brands in Q11 must appear in the same randomized order as they appeared in Q10) while, at the same time, anchoring the last 2 response options (which both must still be “exclusive” response options). Step 2 cannot be done using “carry forward choices” because the “advanced randomization” from Q10 cannot be carried over to Q11.  Question 1: How can I accomplish Step 2? What is the simplest way, JS or Survey Flow? If JS, what code would be required? (I’m novice at JS) Question 2: Additionally, how can I record the order that response options were presented in Q10 and Q11 i

Survey Flow when the first comdition is the same but the second one is different.

I  may be missing something, but I can’t seem to get this to work.  I have simple survey where I want diferent questions to show up depending on other two other selections.Question 1 has five choices.Question 2 had three choices.There is a different block that needs to display for each choice in question one.  Then, depending on the answer to question two, one out of two blocks need to be displayed.  One for option one and two and another for option three.  No matter what I do, I can only get one of the second blocks to display no matter what the answer in question two is.  I feel like I’m missing something important.  Maybe someone out there can help?

Set Embedded Data off of portion of text response

Hi All. I have some large essay response fields that need to save to a panel via a workflow trigger. The embedded data fields in the panel are capped at 1024 characters and much too short. I want to generate embedded data fields in the survey that will then be saved to the panel via workflows. Is there a way to create an embedded data field set to equal the text response of a question, but ONLY capture characters 1-1000. I would then create follow-up embedded data fields set to characters 1001-2000, and so on. Here is an example of the field I am looking to take only the first 1000 characters from: ${q://QID40/ChoiceTextEntryValue}

CX Dashboard Groups -- possible to export group?

It would be great if I could download a Dashboard Group like I can download a single widget. I’m not seeing a way to make that happen. Am I missing something or is it really not there?

style code disappearing

Hello,I am adding the following snippet of code to edit a table in one of my questions, the code runs and it shows what I want, and then it disappears. Does anybody have any idea of what I could do to either make the code stay or write it differently so that it doesn’t disappear? How to check the remaining quota

Hello,We’re designing a survey for people to sign-up for events. The event has different time slots to choose from, and each time slot has a quota for it.Since there may be over 30 time slots to choose from, we’d love to let people quickly know what’s the remaining time slots and quota that haven’t been chosen.Is there any ways to view the remaining quota from respondent’s side before taking the survey? Since that may be more efficient to let everyone know if there’s still available quota to sign up.

How to create a dummy variable grouping dates into quarters?

Hey there everyone! 👋I'm working on a survey analysis project and could use some advice.In my survey, I've got this question about when a certain event went down, and it's a date field. But here's the tricky part: when I'm looking at the results on the dashboard, I really want to be able to filter things out by quarters of the financial year. So here's my question: How can I create some sort of dummy variable that groups these dates into those quarters? 🤔 I'd be super grateful for any tips, tricks, or guidance you can throw my way!Thanks a bunch!

move multi choice options from one question to the other

Hi All, Is it possible to move all options from a multi choice question to another multi choice question and retain all the answers? Same question for a matrix table. There are two separate questions we would like to combine all the options into one for the matrix table as well and change it to carouse column format. Reason - survey is undergoing a change and we would like to move say options 1-5 from Q2 to Q1 but retain all the answers that were recorded before the change. So this will reflect in the new question.

Too much data to display - your filters may be too inclusive!

Hello, I have made a survey for an assignment and one of the questions wont show up. The message says “Too much data to display - your filters may be too inclusive!”. I have tried to mess with the filters, but I don’t think I have any on. I have also tried to export the question as an excel sheet twice an a CSV once. It will not export. Does anyone know how to help?

HTML Configuration and Email errors

I’m working on rebranding some survey emails and sending tests to myself. they appear different in the test email than in Qualtrics where i’m building them and i asked Qualtrics why and they said its because“This is an issue regarding the configuration of each mailbox on each recipient personal computer. The message is configured correctly, the difference is regarding the HTML configuration for each different mailbox.”I attached a file of what Qualtrics sent me (looks correct when they get the test email) and then what it looks like when I receive the test email as well as what it looks like in Qualtrics where i built it.Anyone else having this issue? How did you resolve?

Create quarter field to be used in Dashboard filter

Hi,I have a simple requirement of having a quarter year field to store End date value in QQ/YYYY format so that I can use it in filter of my dashboard. Please guide how to achieve. I do not want to manually update records. However if there is a solution for future new responses and for historical I need to populate manually, I am fine. I do not need a forever manual process :)

Displaying questions based on an integer response

I am creating a survey in Qualtrics and one of the questions follows this logic: the respondent selects how many students they have intervened with regarding suicide, and the next two questions will be specific to each student. The first question asks how they intervened, and the second question asks how comfortable they were with intervening. For instance, a respondent might select 1 student and answer the 2 questions for that student, while another respondent might select 2 students and answer the 2 questions for each student, etc. Could anyone help me with creating this logic?I would appreciate your help.

SSL Certificate Problem

We added a web service in our survey flow, for which the URL happens to be working fine outside of Qualtrics, when run in browser.But when testing the web service URL in Qualtrics, we are not able to see the raw data and getting an error message like - "Web Service Error #60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate". Please guide me what to do in this case.

JS for formatting and masking not working

Hello!I have a form that requires authentication via a user ID. This ID is the same format as an SSN: XXX-XX-XXXX.I don’t know JS, but was able to cobble together some code that I thought was validating for numbers only, entering 9 of them, and masking to keep the dashes in the format.I was wrong and somehow, 0.8% of respondents have been able to skirt the requirements and mask.I have been able to identify two issues - though I do not know how to fix them.The user is able to enter spaces. The user does not have to enter 9 digits. There are other entries that I can’t figure out how the entries occurred and cannot duplicate.One user entered a name. One user entered an email address. Once, the dashes were replaced with slashes. A few times, the dashes were replaced with zeroes. Stuck "We are generating the prepared dataset for you and this will take some time"

Dear all,  I am running a few surveys and in some of them all of sudden the following message appears in the Data & Analysis tab “We are generating the prepared dataset for you and this will take some time”.  I have not created any test/prepared dataset and this is stuck at 0%. In the meantime I cannot export my results neither through the web nor through the API.  Do you know how I can stop this process from running?

redirecting from a Qualtrics survey to another web site and back to the Qualtrics survey

Hi all,I'm wondering if it is possible to redirect someone from a Qualtrics survey to another web site (in this case, so they can complete a task on that web site that would not be easy to incorporate into the survey) and for them to then be redirected from that web site back to the same survey. (I would also need to send an ID code from Qualtrics to the other web site, but that's a separate issue.) Any information would be helpful - thank you in advance.Chris Dickinson

Authenticator/Retake link setup

Hi everyone,I feel like this must be possible, but I’ve yet to find a working solution. I need the following behavior, using an anonymous link:authenticate via Google OAuth SSO, capture email address:  if a respondent is taking the survey for the first time and their email address is not in the associated contact list: collect response trigger workflow after submission to add info to the associated contact list if a respondent is taking the survey again and the captured email address is found in the associated contact list: authenticator recognizes that they’re in the associated contact list end of survey element redirects to a retake link, using their previous response ID update info in the associated contact list The new user flow seems to be pretty straightforward, but I can’t seem to get the redirect → retake process to work properly for returning respondents.  Any help would be appreciated!

Update data of e-mail distribution into a survey

We are a B2B organization.Currently we have a process where the Account Manager can trigger invite to the customers themselves and use a survey, lets name is SERVICE MANAGER SURVEY to do it.At any time, the invites are easily tracked and reported against responses (which get captured in another survey say HEALTH CHECK SURVEY).We have a dashboard that fetches data from these 2 surveys for Invite vs Response analysis.We are now doing a pilot run of central triggering of invitations for some of the customers (Distribution via SEGMENTS).I am currently exploring a way to automatically populate the successful invites trigger from distribution to populate the SERVICE MANAGER SURVEY.Kindly let me know if there is a way to do so.Thanks in advance.Regards,Neha Tank

Embedded Data problem - only appears for generated test data

Hello,I have set up a simple experiment with participants randomly allocated to one of two conditions. I would like to know in my dataset which condition participants completed. I have tried to do this using Embedded Data (Condition set to 0 or 1, Variable Type = Text) - see screenshot below: This works when I generate test responses, but when the study is completed by humans the Condition column in my dataset is blank.Is anybody able to suggest a way to fix this?Many thanks,Fergus

How to exact match display question logic

I have a challenge I need help with. I have an embedded data field that can contain combinations of these values - P, P W, U R, U H.Embedded data field value examples:P, UHP WP, U RU R, U HP, P W, U R, U HMy survey has a survey question for the four unique data field values.Q1 Sat with PQ2 Sat with P WQ3 Sat with U RQ4 Sat with U HI only want to display the survey question when there is an exact match to a value in the embedded data field.When I set Q1 to only display when the embedded data field contains P, both Q1 question P and Q2 question P W display.Will someone please let me know how to input the display question logic so that Q1 question P only displays when P is in the embedded data field?I tried using quotes and that didn’t work.
