Session expired, survey marked finished, customer wants to do survey

I know how to prevent the session expired message, however I have a customer who really wants to complete a survey but cannot because it is marked as finished in the directory. Since this customer has not completed any other surveys, can I delete them from the directory and all lists then add them back in and send a survey? Has any one had any success with this or have any other ideas?

How to add survey #1 response ID generated by Qualtrics ({"ImportId":"_recordId"}) to survey #2 data?

Question 1: Is the response ID generated by Qualtrics ({"ImportId":"_recordId"}) a unique ID?Question 2: For a longitudinal study, Survey #1 was designed to obtain consent and collect first/last names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, workplace names. The actual survey begins in survey #2. We do not want to move the personally identifiable data between surveys. We would rather either create a unique ID or use the response ID generated by Qualtrics (["ImportId":"_recordId") for survey #1 and move it to survey #2 as a new column. Is that possible?

Matrix table on several screens

Hello, I want to create a matrix table with 15 items, which appear in random order. However, as it is too long for one screen I want to spread it over 3 screens (with 5 items in each). Is there a way to do it for a single matrix table? If not, and I need to create 3 separate matrix questions, can I condition that the items that appear on the following screens (2 & 3), did not appear on the previous screens (1 & 2)? Thank you!

Adding a link into a question response?

So I work at a college as an advisor for students. Sometimes when I meet with a student, they ask for really specific resources available to them. While meeting with student, I’m required to complete a document outlining what I spoke to the student about. The issue that I run into is if the student needs specific resources, I’m wondering if there is a clean way to add hyperlinks, or clickable link in a question’s response field so that when I submit the form, its sent to them with all the links intact. Right now, I have to write down all the resources separately, then send them the form and a separate email with links attached. Which is typically lost or misplaced. Please let me know if there is a way to do this. Not sure if it would require the question to include rich text or not.

Is it possible to randomize least fill a particular survey loop?

I'm looking to pipe open-ended responses from a question earlier in the survey into a 12-question loop specifically about that thing. Ideally, we'd like to use the categories selected in another question (that are tied to each open-end) to randomize least fill into this particular loop. What logic should I use to make that happen? Delete batch of responses in progress

I have the email addresses for 300 out of my 900 responses in progress that I want to delete. I want to record the remaining 600 responses in progress. Will someone please let me know the steps to delete a batch of 300 responses in progress using their email addresses?Thanks,Tim

Last week, we introduced a new feature, the XM Directory Task. This feature is replacing an existing one called the Distribute Survey Task. ! What is this feature for? * Studies that involve multiple surveys that must be sent one after another. For example, if each respondent needs to get a post-test survey exactly 4 weeks after they completed the pre-test survey. How to record a random number meanwhile with response?

This makes me crazy... My survey is looking for the customer choice when he/she facing incentive with different level. This "different level" is random generated. Then, after survey, I would build a model to quantify the utility of different incentive to the customer choice. Who does know to record those random incentives with customer choice? Thanks!

Bypass respondent's answers using retake link

Hello,Apologies if this has been asked before, but I have not found a way to get this to work yet. In my survey I have two parts, the first part goes to a student using an anonymous link. The student fills in their portion then completes the survey. When the student completes the survey I have an action setup to email the faculty member with the retake link. I have amended the retake link with the following at the end:"?Q_R=${e://Field/ResponseID}&Q_R_DEL=1&Approver=1" I was able to get this link to forward the faculty member directly to their portion of the survey ONCE and it hasn't worked since. I have a branch for the second block (the faculty portion of the survey) and have it set to display according to the embedded data field (screenshot)Any help on this would be great, since this is very frustrating knowing that I had this working once, but not since.Thanks,Brian

Is it possible to display progressive percentages as respondents are answering?

While a respondent is answering a Qualtrics survey, he/she sees a red bar moving forward. However, at the extreme (right and left), there is only 0% and 100%.During the pre-test phase, several respondents emphasized the advantage of seeing a% in the middle progressing as questions are answered (Example: 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%). % ... .80%, 90% and finally 100%). Does any one have an idea on how to do this on Qualtrics?

Separate End Messages

Hi guys,Urgently require assistance. I’ve looked at almost every post relating to this question but nothing seems to be working for me.I have a main survey. Only by answering YES to the 3rd questions can you proceed with the survey (think of it as a selection criteria question). If you answer NO, I want to the survey to end (“you have not met the selection criteria”).  IF Do you currently study psychology? No Is selected        → End of SurveyI’ve tried everything, I’ve used the skip logic, I’ve gone into survey flow and added a then if branch (from which I’ve added a end survey branch and used the customise button to override the default end message - tried the custom end, I’ve also tried creating a new survey so that I can redirect using URL to the other end message). NOTHING. Is. Working. I keep getting directed to my main end message.  Please help me. x.x

Authenticator/Retake link setup

Hi everyone,I feel like this must be possible, but I’ve yet to find a working solution. I need the following behavior, using an anonymous link:authenticate via Google OAuth SSO, capture email address:  if a respondent is taking the survey for the first time and their email address is not in the associated contact list: collect response trigger workflow after submission to add info to the associated contact list if a respondent is taking the survey again and the captured email address is found in the associated contact list: authenticator recognizes that they’re in the associated contact list end of survey element redirects to a retake link, using their previous response ID update info in the associated contact list The new user flow seems to be pretty straightforward, but I can’t seem to get the redirect → retake process to work properly for returning respondents.  Any help would be appreciated!

"Breakdown bar" view in Reports and percentages: what to do when the sum is 101%?

I'm sure you all had this - You add a breakdown bar report with percentages, and when the underlying values are 1 and 7 you end up getting 13% and 88%... This means, when you add the displayed percentages, you get 101%! ! How do you deal with these?

How best to present / distribute results to users?

Our current practice is to present results in either a Word or Excel document (usually with several tabs). Results come from either SPSS or Business Objects Web Intelligence (your basic reporting tool, for charts, Pivot tables, etc.). I'm really liking what I see in Stats iQ, but I'm not seeing how to "package things up" ... What is the best practice for Qualtrics? I am going through all the Stats iQ training modules/videos, and one of my main questions is how is this "packaged up" to present to the user? Or can we skip the Word/Excel model altogether and provide results to the user online via a dashboard or something like that? We have user users and then we'll eventually have actual researchers who know what they are doing and want to use the tool as they see fit. I'm thinking about regular users, and the goal is to make a nice presentation, either in Excel or online.

Transferring data from one questionnaire to another

How to create a dummy variable grouping dates into quarters?

Hey there everyone! 👋I'm working on a survey analysis project and could use some advice.In my survey, I've got this question about when a certain event went down, and it's a date field. But here's the tricky part: when I'm looking at the results on the dashboard, I really want to be able to filter things out by quarters of the financial year. So here's my question: How can I create some sort of dummy variable that groups these dates into those quarters? 🤔 I'd be super grateful for any tips, tricks, or guidance you can throw my way!Thanks a bunch!

2x2 within subjects design (no repetition - counterbalanced)

I have a fully crossed 2x2 within subjects design in which participants will receive 4 stimuli that are accompanied by two different features (i.e. experimental factors).Participants receive 4 statements and these statements are either a) approved or b) disapproved by a c) ingroup or d) outgroup.Each participant should receive: 1 ingroup x approval image, 1 outgroup x disapproval image, 1 ingroup x approval image and 1x outgroup x disapproval image.Group x feedback combinations should therefore randomly vary across the 4 images but each participant should receive all four possible combinations. This means, qualtrics needs to remember which combination has been shown and subsequently reduce the pool of options to present to participants. Thanks in advance!

Can I add embedded data fields to participants after a survey is closed?

In the participant info that is uploaded into my contacts list I have an Employee ID and Employee email. In my current survey I forgot to Embed these fields into the survey flow. When I add them into the flow, post survey nothing changes in the data export. Ultimately, my export needs to have the email and ID but they are not there.
