Redirect expired link

You could obviously put a URL into the expiration message. The only other way to handle would be to use survey logic to determine if that users invite is expired. If it that user=expired then you could redirect. For example you could embed data into the URL for each personal link. You could then update the logic at the end of the week to terminate the survey for users who had that embeded data.Hope that helps.

Importing Excel survey data into new project

Hi Nancy,Yes to my knowledge you need question or embedded fields setup for each column of imported data. My recommendation is to use the first row of your excel file with the column headers to paste into a text file. You'll need to number each "question" and add [[TextEntry]] on the line after but I think it's going to be easier then adding manually in qualtrics. The basics are you will Pass information FROM your current survey into a URL and then you will then need to add that to the new survey URL and set it as embedded data.Both those help docs are on the same page but are actually backwards in the order they appear in sense that you need to:1) Get the info from your survey2) Add it to the URL of the new survey3) Set embedded data in the survey based on the URL4) Build in the logic to skip if the embedded data is set (or auto fill in the fields with the embed data)Also be mindful that the first time they take the survey the data is captured in the field values and the second time it's set in embedded data and the fields are empty (if you skip the fields). To work around this, I'd set the embedded value in the survey the first time so that when you review the reports you will use the embedded data for the value on all submissions. Or you could autofill the fields

Agree on the adjustment for working from home. I'm starting to go into City Hall about once a week. Mainly because we have staff who are have to work and we want them to feel supported and connected to management.The biggest challenges for me are on busy days making sure I don't work into the night and on slow days staying motivated. I did find it interesting in our Employee Experience survey that one of the indicators on employee well being was how supported staff felt to their managers. We're testing but we think it's also about how often they meet with their team. In person, I think lots of teams don't meet regularly and they don't understand the value of regular meetings virtually. We do a daily check-in that lasts 10-15 minutes but provides a needed touch point for coworkers.

Change Employee XM survey to Core XM

Hi KarenTexas ..sorry to respond to your question with a question but why do you want to convert it? I've never really paid attention to the difference between them.Also, you can try exporting the survey and re-importing the survey (you can pick category on import). If you have data already you'll need to export/import that too. But worth a try.

How to SetEmbeddedData for MC Response to "1" "2"..etc based on response selected

I'm guessing you are using survey flow to display the information for each food item? If so you can just set the embedded data in the survey flow. No custom code required. in the branch where you display the banana information add embedded data Banana : 1If you aren't you can still add some logic in the survey flow to set embedded data.

Survey is blocked after a few questions for some participants

Can you share a screenshot of what they are seeing? Also can you view their partial response and see what is being logged? An export of the survey would also be helpful. Without those, it's hard to know what the issue might be.

Pulling Data Into a Second Survey (Longitudinal Surveys)

Hey @AGSaldana ! On the authenticator in the second survey. Click on options. And make sure the "ALLOW AUTHENTICATING RESPONDENTS TO RETAKE AUTHENTICATED SECTION" is checked.

Is there a way to add a "exit survey" option halfway through the survey?

Add a question asking them if they want to answer two more questions. Then you can build branch logic if they say "No" to go to the end. We do this often for personal demographic information. We ask if they are ok sharing some demographic information and if they say no, we end the survey.

Embedded Data as time Frame for Comparisons

OK. Did you try: Include Responses = This Year Select "Previous Period" and "Percent Change" This will show the current period (this year) and the Previous Period (last year) and show you the change. If the issue is the last year versus this year using the survey date then that goes back to adding in the "Year" of the season as a date value YYYY-MM-DD so it can show as a date field. ! !

Embedded Data as time Frame for Comparisons

It looks like the issue is (maybe) that the season name isn't consistent from year to year. I see "Holiday 2019" and "Winter". Are those the same season but one is 2019 and one is 2020? If they are using the same embedded data value then you can do a comparison of this year to last year and they will show in the same row. If you are worried that you will get Winter 2019 data in January 2020 (and would show in the 2020 report) I would pass the date of visit into a separate embedded field and use that as the date field. So you'd end up with two fields: Season: Winter Visit Year (or day or month): 2019-12-01 (I'd pass in the value as a YYYY-MM-DD even if it's month, so that you can use for trending in dashboards. If you are using different values then you may want to consider mapping the values to a consistent value in your dashboard configuration so you can compare them in this widget. You could probably even map to a date based on the embedded data. So you'd map from Season: Holi

Survey has to bet set to "Open Access" but need to terminate if certain URLs are duplicates

Just to clarify you are creating personal links? If so, I don't think those are reusable once the person has taken them. You can have an anonymous link AND generate personal links through qualtrics and have the behaviour it sounds like you are describing.

Distributing survey through Website Intercept

Hi. It's going to be difficult to troubleshoot without knowing more. A couple of things: 1) Have you tested using just the survey (versus the testing of the intercept)? You can use an anonymous survey link. If your trigger email isn't being sent. Double-check the piping of the email. This should work and would help identify if it's the intercept or the survey having issues. 2) Can you confirm that the survey is published? Or is it in preview too? 3) If you continue to have issues with the survey, you can try the actions tab. The nice thing about this is that actions tab has a reporting area that shows you what happened and would be useful in troubleshooting.

Can I set up a staggering sending in Qualtrics?

I don't think there is a default way to stagger. You could create samples and then manually stagger a distribution to each sample. Also, I'm sure you have seen but take a look at this article: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/distributions-module/email-distribution/avoid-being-marked-as-spam/ Additionally, we had an issue (it was with internal users for surveys) where when one or two users "marked as spam" our email provider started moving all messages from qualtrics into spam. Using our own custom from address helped us overcome this internally.

You can trigger off external data (e.g. Zapier) using JSON events in the actions tab or the Zapier integration. What system is the data in?

I would assume you want survey response as the trigger. The idea is someone fills our Survey 1. That triggers a task to send an email with a link to Survey 2. In the send email task, you can have it send after 1 week (or whatever you want the delay to be.

If you are using the distribute survey task in the actions settings. There will be a choice on what survey to distribute. But I think it might be easier to just paste the URL from "Building the Survey Link" into an "Email Task." You can't paste it into a "Distribute Survey" task.

You can then do different distributions for each list.

A/B testing a survey

The idea here...as I read it...is to manually put people into your A or B group using embedded data at the distribution level (which you can now do) and then putting them in different lists. Once you have set that up, you can then do different things with each group/list. Different emails or reminder delays etc. Once the survey collection is complete, you can report on the embedded data to see which group performed better. On the reminder reporting...I don't see how to do that either. You could maybe add embedded data in the URL on the reminder that would be unique to each message and report on that unless someone knows how to see which message sent. Also, if you haven't already check out the respondent funnel (note it doesn't track reminders) but may be useful to you. Also, thanks for sharing that post.. It was a good read!

Send email reminders to those who did not start the survey?

Reminder emails are sent to anyone who hasn't finished which includes those that started and haven't finished and those that never started.

I'm assuming you are using the distribute survey task. If so, you need to keep the piped version of the URL. Just add your parameters:${l://SurveyURL}?Login%20ID=${e://Field/Login%20ID}If you just put the url in it won't work. Make sure you have the second survey selected.If you feel more comfortable with pasting the URL (or you are having issues still) try using the email task (versus distribute survey task). This won't check for a survey url to save.

I don't think there are permission settings for tickets. I think this is a great feature. I'd suggest adding a product idea that would restrict editing and/or deleting tickets based on roles and the ability to report on deleted tickets.
