It looks like the Report.php script is no more. Sad because there is no API endpoint to replace this functionality.

Survey export-responses API failing to return response values

To fix the problem, I went into the survey and removed the ‘exclude from analysis’ selections from all of my survey questions (which is a pain to do manually) and ran the API requests again. This time all of the data response values were returned with the API. I recommended you NEVER use the ‘exclude from analysis‘ survey response option due to the unintended consequences it causes with other variables that are not explicitly excluded.

what user permissions are needed to export a survey to Word?

According to Qualtrics Support, the user would need the "Edit Survey access" permission, which controls access to the Survey Editor and includes the ability to export surveys to Word.

How to get PDF Single Response Link for existing Responses

@rondev, that is an interesting idea although a bit more convoluted than what I was hoping for. Would this involve creating workflow triggers for EACH survey? I have more surveys than I care to count and creating a workflow trigger for each survey would be a nightmare and not a good solution.

Where is the API documentation on 'Start Response Import'?

Apparently the search feature (which is barely visible with a grey text on dark blue background) is the way to find things in the API documents.I searched on 'responses' and found what I was looking for.The `Start Response Export` link needs to be fixed to point tohttps://api.qualtrics.com/6b00592b9c013-start-response-export on the legacy response page. These API endpoints have not updated in a while and this is what I am currently using.

Link to the full response not working

I am not a fan of this change of removing the viewable response as I do not use email triggers anymore and there is no API to retrieve a viewable response (if there is an API call I would like to know about it).

Going through the Qualtrics admin system does not fit with my process flow which heavily uses the https://qualtrics.com/CP/Report.php?SID={surveyId}&R={responseId}. Is there an API equivalent to this? I need a programmatic solution, not a manual one.

How to apply javascript (cleave.js) to multiple questions?

Cleavejs_Examples.2022.10.03.qsfAttached is a Qualtrics survey with Cleave.js examples of what works and what does not. The first block in the survey is working syntax, with other blocks showing where things go wrong. The 'Look and Feel/General/Header' option contains the cleave.js import statement. The javascript in each survey question contains the cleave formatting code for that question.

Access denied error accessing my surveys

@HM1234 luckily Qualtrics must have updated their software shortly after I reported the incident because the issue has not resurfaced since December.

Qualtrics API - update response (put method) in NextJs

It seems I had answered this question in the past (https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/4944/setting-embeddeddata-parameter-in-update-response-api-call-v3-only-existing-embedded-data-fields#latest). You must add the embedded data fields in your survey flow BEFORE you try to set them by calling the API. The NextJs code snippet succeeded in updating the response embedded data after I added the embedded data fields to the survey flow as shown below:

How to add embedded data to a survey invite on email distribution

I usually comment out the default email distribution survey links and then build a custom survey link using something similar to:`https://[subdomain].qualtrics.com/jfe/form/[surveyId]?UUID=${e://Field/UUID}&Email=${m://Email1}&key=${e://Field/key}">Survey link`Just for clarification, when talking about email distributions, embedded data from the survey is not useful (even though it appears in the email distribution embedded data choices). Contact embedded data is available to use in the email distributions, but does not always show up as an option in the piped text selection list (but you can use it if you know the embedded data variable name).

Can I use Piped Text Within Piped Text?

Allowing piped text within piped text should not be that difficult for Qualtrics to code into their platform and would definitely be useful when working with web services in email distributions (eg. where you want to pull web service results based on email recipients).

questionId and questions id inside is not matching Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.QuestionInfo

I discovered today that the custom question IDs I created are not useful when trying to select piped text for selected choices (eg. I am not able to use my custom question ID). Qualtrics still expects you to remember and use the internal QID that Qualtrics assigned to the question originally (which you can not longer see if you customize the question IDs). This is disappointing.

Branching logic to compare embedded data variables is failing

Thank you @LaurenK. It would be helpful if the support documentation would specify if a field will parse a plain variable name (in the case of the 'left' field for this condition) or when piped text is expected (in the case of the 'right' field for this condition). It is especially difficult to test this within the survey flow if it isn't clear to users what the fields will or will not parse.

API (and Community submission form) woes

The new API site is really difficult to navigate the left menu pane. If you open a page the left pane does NOT show its scrollbar unless you happen to know it exists and you hover over it to make it appear. If you go to https://api.qualtrics.com/guides/reference/singleResponses.json/paths/~1surveys~1%7BsurveyId%7D~1responses~1%7BresponseId%7D/deletefor example, the highlighted left nav section doesn't even appear unless you scroll down the left nav, which seems rather silly. The behavior of the left nav scrolling is horrible, to put it lightly.The search function also misses the mark. If you search for 'Delete a Survey Response' for instance, it doesn't even come close (see below).

I finally found a link to the response delete API reference here:{"embed-error": true}I have no idea how I found it. There is no longer a navigation tree to find things on this site. (Ugggh, when I paste the URL into this submission field it gets converted to a 'Request failed with status code 500'...see attached screenshot). @lyh970817 Check the .qsf file. All of the default IDs and any recoded IDs should be in the .qsf file. Again this file is the best source for defining the survey.

Allowing respondents to "undo" entry on TimePicker in a Matrix-type question.

@cphetmisy You would need to customize the plugin to have a link or button to reset the field and force the field to lose focus (because as long as the field has focus the time picker plugin is going to take over).Someone else had the same question about the code and the developer did not seem interested in implementing it.https://github.com/flatpickr/flatpickr/issues/997

@lyh970817 Are you looking at the survey export file (.qsf)? This is the data dictionary for your surveys. Simply rename the file to .json (since it is a JSON file).
