What I love the most about the Qualtrics XM Community is the level of support.  Qualtrics support is fantastic, but I don’t want to call them if I am just kicking an idea around.  If I have had a thought about the platform, odds are good a dozen others users have too.

🎯 New Year’s Resolutions | Badge of the Month | January 2024

Professionally, I want to combine surveys and workflows. We have a lot of simple surveys we use for assessment that could be combined into one and use embedded data to route the population we want completing it.  It would save sooooooooooo much time on dashboard creation.

How do you actually connect XM Directory Contact Data as a Dashboard Datasource? 

Hopefully you have access to that feature for COVID linking.  We asked for it and were told they are not really adding that to accounts post COVID but they would be adding enhanced XM directory functionality in the future which I think became this feature.  @JoycaV s explanation is the best I’ve seen for why this feature doesn't really work the way you would want or expect it to. The original version of this linked back to response rate, emails etc… and not embedded data.  We are working in an assessment environment where that type (response rate etc...) is not relevant to the data we collect, but ensuring embedded data is accurate and linked to directory profiles is.I have not had a chance to review how she laid out data connects to our use case, but will in the next week or two.  @avashley are you working in a higher education setting?

Hi Rosana, do you have access to SSO in your Qualtrics instance?  You can use that in conjunction with the items above to block access.  If you do not, you can use the quotas and set 1 per student ID number.  Their is also the Qualtrics Course Evaluations for assessment data collection.  We use it and it is a fantastic tool.

How do you actually connect XM Directory Contact Data as a Dashboard Datasource? 

Not sure if this helps:  It is mapped, I am testing the view of pulling in MINOR_TEXT, an embedded data field we do not currently use in our surveys, and it does not show in the dashboard, image 2.

@Deepak I did that.  I have it mapped, have the email and external data reference aligned with other data sources, but they do not populate on the dashboard, the pulled in data from the default directory contacts all say N/A

I appreciate both links and have used the respondent funnel before, but I mean the actual https://www.qualtrics.com/support/vocalize/dashboard-settings-cx/dashboard-data/using-contact-data-as-a-cx-dashboard-source/ Is there something I am missing on how respondent funnel and contact data work together to tie back to the directory?

I love how dynamic the all parts of the platform is. There is constantly new features and functionality and how well those changes are communicated. If there is a shortcoming to a part of any piece of qualtrics I know it is only a matter of time before it is addressed. In higher education so many partners and products we use are static, so being dynamic is awesome!

My two qualtricsl goals (our of 100 or so on my list!) is to finish our massive deployment of QClassroom/CourseEvaluations for our entire assessment plan. My second goal is that I would like to better leverage textIQ for our college. It will be a useful tool for measuring items we care about.

Dashboard of XM Directory Contacts

Topics like what you are suggesting and items like a pre-built apporval form that does not require a timing question and retake links etc... I'm sure Qualtrics has a reason for not making them easier, but it is odd. I am guessing there has not been a direct reply from admins to your question?
