I've heard that rule of thumb as well, and will certainly be happy to use it if my audience accepts it :) Do you know if the 30 responses needs to be limited to a certain time period? I have more than 50 responses for one metric but it's over a 12 month period. Maybe that seems pushing it a bit?
@RondaD @AdamK12 @CNTG I think someone will need to actually post this in the Product Ideas area (if not there already) so it can be upvoted/downvoted and hopefully get on the roadmap that way. I've already gotten at least one of my ideas put on the roadmap! (I"ll try to check back in with this in a few days and post something if someone doesn't beat me to it.)

I ended up sending in 8 batches (via splitting my contact list into 8 lists) for my peace of mind, and that actually enabled me to make 1 quick logic update partway through (too many respondents were selecting an answer for first question that skipped them to end of survey). Everything seems to be going well so far.
I had success using the measure group to show a combined rating for 2 questions within gauge chart and simple table widgets but NOT breakdown bar charts (to show SAT or NPS groups by that combined rating) OR record grids. So there is clearly a list of compatible visuals and incompatible visuals and I'm afraid I'm not sure how you would know what that is outside of trying them out or asking support :) Assuming you are trying to do the same thing I am (rolling together two ratings using a "measure group" -- which looks at 2 question ratings as "number set") I would say try one of the widget types that worked for me and if that works for you as well you'll have your confirmation that map view is currently incompatible.

Thanks, @Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam, but the key point was "automatically" send 2 reminders. I already included in my question that I am manually sending an additional reminder for that survey via my distributions. It is a big pain, with no current solution, so I'm hoping this gets prioritized on the roadmap :)
I'm talking about a separate issue. If you have a survey automated via Salesforce trigger, Qualtrics lets you automatically tell it to send the recipients one reminder email but not more than one (and I send several reminders for some of my surveys).
Thanks, @AnthonyR, @Libertywick, and @TomG . I should have specified (I forget I'm not the norm) that all of my surveys are always-on client experience surveys, so I have to handle the settings a little bit differently. But good food for thought.
In case anyone was watching this and wishing they had an answer for their own uses, an update that I did get some resolution from Qualtrics support, which I implemented. Not at all optimal from my perspective, because I ended up having to double the # of emails I'm putting out for the surveys in question (and thus the # I'll have to edit and maintain) but I was in a crunch and it solved the problem. The solution was to create a different version of the invite and reminders going to each of the contacts through the distinct triggers, and within the emails append &Main=True or &Secondary=True to the survey url . . . ${I://SurveyURL}&Main=True. Then add Main and Secondary to the survey flow, to be automatically populated based on the survey URL they respond against. This was their summary of the steps: 1) Set up two "Trigger and Email Survey" blocks, one pulling the info for the Main contact and another pulling the info for the Secondary contact. 2) Create/Edit the messages that are ref
Thanks for the response, @Akdashboard. I definitely send myself test surveys so I can see the emails and click into the survey, etc. As you describe. My bigger issue is when I'm testing a survey that is integrated with Salesforce, wherein the emails contain salesforce-mapped fields as piped text. This is basically impossible to check 100% unless you're easily able to do full testing in staging, which I sometimes have difficulties getting going with my salesforce admins, unless we recently integrated the survey.
Also think Vocalize needs some work to be more user-friendly. Specific suggestions include ability to move widgets around more easily (esp. newly-created one at the bottom that you want to move near the top), resize more easily, etc. Would be a game-changer to have an undo option or "close without saving" option. Also very much need to be able to move visuals to a tab on a different dashboard / duplicate a whole tab to a different dashboard, and similar.
I'm not currently building as complex of surveys as many of you (clearly) so mine are more distribution-related. 1. Out of the box response rate widgets that are very customizable (at survey level not distribution level for survey; you can divide by your company's non-standard fiscal quarter; you can manually enter bounces to be counted out) 2. Same as how the Language field allows you to upload a list of candidates and send them in multiple languages automatically, a time zone field that would allow you to upload one list (not a list for each region) and automatically send at a designated time appropriate to their region. 3. Ability to send as many reminder emails as you like for your integrated surveys under the Salesforce Trigger & Email Survey menu 4. More straightforward ways to test Salesforce field mappings (not just do you have the right API name, but is it also going to come over in a useable format for you, etc.) and view emails with tokens plugged in (preview realistic ema

I almost hate to say it, but I think taking the trouble to call Q Support every time you aren't sure you've figured out the best way to do something is worthwhile. Otherwise you'll sometimes discover months later that you weren't doing something optimally. (And you can also recommend they add your feature request for consideration, if there isn't a better way.) Perhaps the new Community will accomplish part of this!
I think it's definitely an enjoyable experience. Trying to think about how it fits in against self-service training docs on Qualtrics University and calling Qualtrics support, though, and still not sure what I've decided there. (A lot of the questions posed thus far could probably best be answered via online and phone resources--especially some of the complex Salesforce integration questions, and such.) Could see this being the best resource for brainstorming-type and best practices discussions, rather than very specific technical questions.

@Dax I don't have Target Audience so that explains it! We mostly use our Salesforce integration to manage our survey fatigue and then we don't yet have a perfect way to handle opt outs.

Most of my dashboards have a combination of gauge charts, breakdown bars, regression analysis (key drivers), word clouds, and simple charts. If you have an NPS survey I'd say you have to use the breakdown bar to show the groups (detractors, passives, promoters). I've found no better way to explain to people at my company how NPS scores are calculated, along with providing additional context. I recently also was clued in that I could also show trending of SAT or NPS groups over time, by using in a simple bar chart. Have fun! I feel you can get away with a lot of types of visuals if you add little explanatory notes as necessary (using rich text editor widget).
I feel the best training you can get will be on the job over time, but the thing I found most helpful about certifications was the way in which it would give you little lightbulb moments where you realized there was functionality you could be using to be better at your job / save time. Wouldn't have had some of those otherwise, I suspect. And hey, it's always nice to have a new certification. I've done three of them (the old bronze, silver, gold) and managed to pass each one the first time without too extensively studying. Agree the one that was all day at summit was a little grueling, though all worth it.
This won't be totally helpful, but I remember running into this same thing a few months ago. The issue ended up being with something else entirely . . . at the time I wasn't able to get any test surveys to send within my sandbox environment. I would suggest digging in with your Salesforce admin and/or calling Q Support and asking for an integration specialist. Good luck.
I'm always happy to do an interview/ UX session and offer any feedback. Currently, we have no need to use reports because we've built out everything just the way we want it in our dashboards :)
I would go to Tools: Salesforce: Response Mapping and see if it then prompts you to update your login credentials. Sometimes there is a Salesforce refresh or something changes that requires you to re login (or get your admin to re login).
