Will sharing a list affect distributions?

Hi JoycaV ,Moving the list to a group to share it has not affected the distribution for me. The Mailing List ID (the CG_#########) identifier remains the same which is how the distribution ties things together.

Referencing library block

Hi HWYoung ,For blocks the functionality is located in the Block Options in the upper right corner of the block you wish to copy in the survey builder screen. How to share message library items

Hi JustinD ,You will want to make sure that your co-worker is part of your Group and that you are saving your message to the Group Library. Embedded Data field in piped text after update

Hi lmak,For this use case you will want to set up the fields in your contact data as transactional data. How many minutes take for Automatic Role Enrollment in CX dashbaord role setting?

Hi JS_Choi_1 ,Once this is setup it will take affect the next time the user logs into Qualtrics. They will not show in the role until that next login. You can force it is you disable and then re-enable the automatic enrollment if your users have the appropriate user attribute.

How do I group different questions onto one bar chart?

Hi cryan01 ,You're on the right track here. The simplest way I've found to make a good visualization for this is to use the field group and horizontal bar - simple chart. Set the X-Axis to your field group Then setup up your metric using the Top Box / Bottom Box metric type and move the option bar to just include a single choice. You will want to label it appropriately as it will display in the key.Add a separate metric for each of the remaining choice values.Then select Stack Chart from graph options at the bottomThis will give you a stacked bar for each questions broken by choice value.

Actions Triggering Events for past respondents

I would recommend putting the action trigger in place now to catch the survey completes moving forward as the first step. For your past survey completes you could potentially write a script and use the JSON Event action to trigger these past surveys if you have the Qualtrics API as part of your license. JSON event documentation. Depending on your license and the number of survey response you have it may be more straight forward to just setup a quick mailing list for each day for your wave 3 survey and send/schedule them normally.

Embedded Intercept Target: survey opened in another tab

This is a workaround and there may be a better solution, but my suggestion to accomplish this would be to switch out from using an embedded intercept to using the linked intercept creative option. You would need to add in the question text to the creative manually, and then for each of you answer choices create a new intercept link. When double clicking on each of the link text boxes, there is an option in the edit toolbar that allows you to edit the link (the link icon, 5th one in from the left). From there you would add in your survey link and append the answer choice in the same way the inline questions work in an email invitation (?QID1=1, ?QID1=2, and so on).

How to attach user data from parent page to a survey response; survey is triggered through zone code

Hi @tdm42, I don't believe you will need to add the query param to the Qualtrics URL itself. There are a number of options available within the _Intercepts_ tab of Site Intercept / Website Feedback from the _Options_ menu on the upper right corner of your action set. The options will let you grab values from the page and set them as embedded data. You can grab a URL parameter from the page itself, grab it from any JavaScript value available on the page, or from a cookie (there are others... I'll grab a screen shot). Remember you will need to add an embedded data field to your survey that matches the name of the one you create exactly. ! Save picklist fields in salesforce

This is to preserve the data integrity between the two systems, and prevent sync failures when the integration attempts to add data from Qualtrics to what would be viewed as an invalid lookup option in the SalesForce platform. You should have a matching value in SFDC for each of your answer choices when mapping to a lookup field. You other option would be to set the answer choice to an embedded data field in your survey flow and map the embedded data to a text field in SFDC. Hi @annaWang I have run into this when trying to shorten long answer choices for display in SalesForce, and found that the _variable name_ is not currently available for use as reporting text. To get around this I used javascript to set an embedded data field with the text I wanted to report and mapping to the new embedded field to SalesForce as a text field. You may find a better solution through support, but this solved it for me. If not you can make and enhancement request (here) by filling out the form and selecting enhancement request.

survey cannot update

It may be the result of the new publishing feature. I don't believe it has rolled out to all account yet, but it could definitely explain the behavior you are seeing. If this is turned on for you, you will see a green Publish button next to the Preview button in your survey. You will also see a notification if there has been a change that is not yet published version of the survey highlighted in yellow at the top of the survey editor. ! Copying Last Year's Experience Survey

Hi @Arti_Reddy0 Assuming you are determining your audience type based on embedded data from your contact list. If this is the case I think the easiest method is to use a preview link and appended your embedded data field(s) and value(s) to the link. This will mock up what you would get from the survey once it is sent. To get the preview link, grab the url when using the preview tool in the survey builder. Since the preview url already contains the variable Q_CHL=preview you would append an &YourEmbeddedFieldName=YourEmbeddedFieldValue. You would create one of these 'test' links for each of your respondent types. A good support page with info on testing with the preview link can be found here. I would also recommend taking a subset of your real contacts (one for each response type) and creating a test mailing list replacing out the contact email address with your own. This will count against your number of real survey completes, but is a good end-to-end test (and worth doing in

@Madhukar I'm glad the drill down worked for you. As for your carry forward question, I believe you may have a setup issue. The documentation on available options in carry forward (here) shows that "Unselected Choices" is an available option in the setup. An issue like this is hard to debug without seeing your setup. If you go through the carry forward docs (here) and are still stuck, feel free to post your .qsf file, or a mocked up version with dummy data to protect your work, and I will take a look.

Modify Choices in a Question based on Previous Question's Answer

Hi @kvignesh You can use display logic on answer choices as well from within the survey editor. You access this functionality by clicking on the answer choice itself. This highlight the choice and adds a drop-down indicator to the right of it. This will give you a menu that contains an option for display logic for the specific choice. ! I think the contact list trigger is what you're looking for here to set your embedded data from the weekly survey to the contact to be used later in your daily surveys. How do you implement a formula in Qualtrics that includes an "IF"-condition?

I believe you should be able to handle this using scoring since you are using quantitative questions. Scoring is setup from the tools menu in the survey builder. Scoring defaults to a single category labeled "Score", but if you click on the drop down you can go to "Manage Categories". From there I believe you would want to setup a separate scoring category for each of your 15 rounds. Then In your survey build, you would need to setup each of your rounds in it's own block. From there you can set an embedded data field following that block with the score for that round. Once the embedded data is set you can use it's value for branch logic or pipe it in to a "Descriptive Text" question type for display to the survey respondent. The important thing to note is that the score does not have to be set as a single point for a selected choice (as in a point for a correct answer to a quiz). You can set the value given for each choice in the setup so that it is meaningful to your logic or to

My current survey is stuck in edit mode (the option to lock survey has disappeared). How to fix?

You can try clicking on Distributions and going to the Anonymous Link tab or clicking on the 'Get a single reusable link' button if you've not set up your distributions yet. I've noticed this locks the survey as well.

The other option that just came to mind if you're not interested in getting into custom code is to make use of the Meta Info Question. There is detailed documentation here. You could ask you survey respondents to only take the survey on a device with the appropriate screen size and then check their screen resolution or user agent when you go to reporting.

Hi @pamata To get what you are after I think you are going to have to use some custom javascript code. There is a functional example in stackoverflow (here). Using this example you can set up an embedded data field for MobileDevice (or something similar) in your survey flow, then place the above javascript on your first question like a screener by clicking the gear icon to the left of the question and selecting add JavaScript. Where the example code has a comment for `// Mobile` you would use the following to set your embedded field: `Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("MobileDevice","Yes");` You can then use that embedded data field to branch allowing non-mobile to continue and ending the survey for mobile users with a custom end of survey message.
