@JoycaV Bucket is a great idea, but I don’t get it why a multi-value field could pose a problem. With ID is the only input. Well, in a bucket, you can only assign a value into one single bucket.If e.g. Training_ID 1 should have Type = z AND y, this is not possible with a bucket. You can only drag the id 1 into either the bucket for z, or the bucket for y, not into both.While in branches or in javaschipt, you can say “Bucket = z,y”. If you indicate that this field is a multivalue, the comma is recognized by Qualtrics as the separator for the multiple values.
i have just noticed that our ${srr://SingleResponseReportLink?ttl=0} links are expiring and keep returning this error. We are using this link ${srr://SingleResponseReportLink?ttl=3122064000} in an email template message, and then use this email template in an XM Directory action with distribution in a workflow. We notice that this link isn’t generating… it just shows an empty spot in the mail where the link should be. When we don’t add the ttl parameter, it does seem to work…So maybe a solution to your error could be related to ours?

The data modeler has all the same abilities plus more, including allowing you to map multiple kinds of sources (surveys, contacts, tickets) to the same dataset, and the ability to join data. But I really hope this can solve our case: The data modeler has much of the same functionality, but with additional advanced capabilities. If you need to combine data from very different sources (like tickets or directories) and perform left outer data joins, the data modeler is the better choice.

Thanks Nam.The Javascript may indeed be a better way forward than the branches. It’s easier to maintain as you can indeed copy-paste from a text editor, while branches involve clicking a lot in the UI.Meanwhile I had also expirimented with adding some Bucket variables in Data&Analysis. This would work fine, except that one of my additional fields is a multi-value, and I couldn’t cover that with buckets.

I contacted Qualtrics support and they suggested that I export my directory data and my survey to Excel, perform a VLOOKUP or similar function to append the relevant directory fields to my survey, then reupload the data into my survey. Far less efficient than what I thought I’d be able to do with the directory… VLOOPUP’s, really 😅 might as well build a dashboard in Excel then. If y’all find a better way to accomplish this, I’d love to hear about it! Well there’s always the “classical” way of doing it. As long as your surveys are identified (you sent them by email invite for example), in the survey flow you can declare the list of embedded data fields that you want to pull from “the panel” aka from the XM Directory.I even noticed if you add embedded data fields after responses are gathered, as long as that field already existed and had a value at the moment of the response, when you add it into the survey ED you can get values on the older responses too.The main disadvantages are:the
I’m struggling with the same.The way that the XM Directory Contact data is being handled, does not seem to be what I expected. I figured out how it technically works: Take this example: you have two touchpoint surveys, one after a purchase and one after a helpdesk support ticket. You have a survey response from John on each of these surveys. In the XM Directory, there is an additional field on John called ABC classification, and the value is A.In the dashboard, you have three data sources: Purchase survey, helpdesk survey, and the XM Directory data.All three surveys have a field for matching the respondent, i.e. an external reference id. In this setup, if you have a dashboard page that shows e.g. the average satisfaction of the purchase touchpoint, you still cannot use/filter/add the ABC classification field, it always will show N/A as a value.If you make a simple recod grid table in the dashboard, you can find out technically why.What you will see is the following three record lines:

Hi @cpschroeder I mapped my data as transactional data. (I used the UI, not the API)It doesn’t matter if the field is embedded data or transactional data. They can all be used as piped texts within emails, surveys, etc.What is important though, that in order for the “match” to work, is that your distribution is sent to the transaction group, like Alea explained before. Otherwise the survey cannot know from which transaction it needs to fetch the value for that field.

@AmaraW , I also noticed the description of Idea EV-1564 became something totally different than what I originally described. The description in the voting list is now “Ability for surveys to create branches in a survey flow versus one linear flow.”. However my description was much longer. And my idea is NOT about creating branches in a survey flow. That is already possible. The idea is about creating branches in a workflow. Because workflows currenly only allow for one linear flow, and it is not possible to create branches or if/else paths.
Hi @AmaraW I can find back EV-1564,However I cannot find back EV-1518.In fact, I cannot find back a whole range of ideas around that number.Last one I can see is EV-1514 and everything before that,next I can see is EV-1546 and everything after that.But everything in between those two numbers does not appear.
@AmaraW , 8 or 9 days ago I submitted an idea regarding Creatives that are Passive, such as a Feedback button, that count as an interaction (even when not clicked) when they are identified using the XM Directory connection, and therefore due to the frequency limits actually block every other survey.I still cannot find the idea in the list.I also did not receive any update mail after the “thank you for submitting an idea” mail (which is btw the same mail that I get for posting ideas as for voting for ideas). Could you help to find out where that idea has gone to?Thank you.
Thank you for your replies @AmaraW .Can we also submit ideas about the Evolve platform? 😁 as quite some of my questions were answered with “this is not possible in Evolve/Coda”. Especially the not being able to sort on “new ideas” and “top voted ideas” makes it quite hard for ideas to actually be found, except if you are explicitly searching for something specific. I personally like going through new and top ideas to be… call it inspired :) for ideas that I agree with and add my vote.Also, if I cannot see what I already voted for, what would happen if I accidentally vote for the same idea twice?
Hi, I have some practical questions:Can you sort the ideas, i.e. by most votes, or creation date (new ideas)? Can you see a larger description of an idea somewhere? The “De duped ideas” column is quite … condensed. How can I see which ideas I already voted for? How can I link to one specific idea to send to a colleague so they can also vote on it? Can you comment on the ideas? Or request info from admins somehow? There are ideas on status “capability exists” that I would very much like to know how exactly, like “ability to publish dashboard private pages as public pages”. I had some ideas on the old platform with lots of votes, but I can’t seem to find them back. There was one about authorisations, that it’s currently very confusing for admins that authorisations can be set on User Type, Group type, Divisions, and Individual level. It takes an hour to process a vote, but how long does it take for a new idea to appear? I submitted one but the confirmation page just sais thank you, no

But, at first glance it was worth the wait 😁Can’t wait for the Product Ideas to be available again too! I really hope this will convince more people to vote on ideas, but I fear votes could be given to just any idea instead of only the ones you really think are the best ideas.

The hierarchies of the multiple projects had to be mapped to eachther, AND in the second/third/etc survey, we need to regularly push the button "update responses with current metadata". This updates some auto-genrated fields labeled "timestamp of last medatada update", "org hierarcy direct report units". That "org hierarchy direct report units" you will notice on your surveys that they appear multiple times within the field list. This is linked to the mapped hierarchies, each appearance of this field reflects the org hierarchy id's of those linked hierarchies. As long as those fields are empty (if you did not refresh the metadata), the dashboard is unable to check for those responses who is allowed to see them in the linked hierarchy. Because the dashboard is built on the "first" survey and has authorisations based on the hierarch

But applying it to many many different touchpoint surveys takes a few minutes multiplied by many, plus then in the dashboard also for those many surveys the mapping needs to be redone with the new bucketed variable.

I opened a ticket for Qualtrics Support, and their reply was:Unfortunately, the preview link isn’t supposed to be used as a target for the intercept. If while the field is empty, integrations are running that add contact data with an email address, then you probably end up with duplicates...
