I am following all of the directions for deleting survey responses: 1) go into Data & Analysis, 2) click on the box to the left of the data you wish to delete, and 3) click on the trash can. I get the wheel that says 1 request pending, and then eventually it stops, but the response I want deleted isn’t deleted, it’s still there. Any ideas on how to delete the unwanted responses and actually have them delete?Thanks,Tiffany

Looking for some custom code (Java, CSS, or HTML) that would make grid questions (matrix) display in accordion style on a desktop similar to how it does on mobile -- where one attribute shows at a time and collapses once an answer is selected, causing the next attribute to open. I have scoured the board and the internet and have yet to find a solution. Anyone have any ideas?

I have about 2,000 total audio files that fall into 20 different categories. I would like to make 5 questions for each of these categories (100 total questions) - each question would randomly select one audio file from the corresponding category to embed. So far I've uploaded all the files into my library into a different folder for each category. I don't mind manually making a different question for each of the 20 categories, but I'd like to not have to manually do something for each of the 2,000 audio files. Right now the only thing I can think of is using javascript to randomly select one of the links in the library, and displaying that with html. However, the links to the files in the library don't seem to have any kind of pattern to their names, which would involve manually copying all 2,000. Is there an easier way to do this, like listing out all the links within a folder in the library?
We have a matrix table with a lot of labels on the top axis. Wondering if anyone out there knows the html to change the labels to vertical like you can do in Excel and in the image below. It would be much easier on the user so they wouldn’t have to scroll to the right to see the other options. Thank you.
Hi Everyone, I am having two issues that seem to be related. Firstly, some of my survey respondents cannot get into the survey after authenticating. They input their unique ID to authenticate, but then an error message appears that they cannot resume their session (even with “allow respondents to finish later” enabled). When these responses appear in “Responses in Progress” it shows that the last question they interacted with is either blank, for those who could not get past the authenticator screen, or “Authenticator” for those who could authenticate, but then were greeted with the error message. Additionally, when some respondents have successfully authenticated and completed the survey, Qualtrics is not moving these responses from “Responses in Progress” to “Recorded Responses”, even after allowing for time for data to update. So---this leaves me to wonder if the responses in my “Responses in Progress” that show 0% progress and that the last question someone interacted with is t

I can’t figure out why my form fields are not all equal size? They all set to be ‘short’. but for some reason, when I ‘inspect’, I see that some inputs are created with inline css style=”width: 60px”, and it seems to be totally random! I have three multiple choice questions on one page.1) I Accept Condition A (accept/reject)2) I Accept Condition B (accept/reject)3) Accept all / reject allWhat I want is when someone clicks Accept All on (3), for "Accept" to become automatically selected on (1) and (2) (with the opposite being true when Reject All is selected on (3)). From a UX perspective, it would be helpful if pressing a selection on (3) visibly changed the answers to (1) and (2), e.g. the bubbles next to them becomes selected. Im trying to create a survey that has a between-subject variable (for example, HIGH/LOW attractiveness) and a within-subject variable, call it humor- with three levels- none/pos/neg.each participant is randomly assigned either to high/low condition. then, for the within design i have two sets of 3 pictures (each set either high/low attractiveness) and three sets of 3 texts each,one for every humor level.I want that for each level of humor participants will see a picture paired with one of the 3 texts (randomly chosen) and then a followup matrix question. problem is i want each participant to see each picture once without return. plsss if you can help me it'll be life saving.
Hello, I need validation so that the sum of the percentages is 100% or “Don’t Know” is selected. I don’t see an option for summing the percentages in custom validation, so I think I need custom JavaScript but I am not a coder! Could someone please assist? Thank you in advance! Caroline
Hi all,I am wondering if there is a way to add an option to a survey question, where respondent can click on a word or a button to then show a pop-up box with more information?I tried the method described in the below, but couldn’t get it to work. I followed the above, without really understanding it (!!) and I get my key word underlined and showing as a tool tip, and the info will show if I hover. However, how do I get this key word to be clickable on a mobile device? The code I have used in my survey question (HTML view) is below. Is there a way to have “optional” in a dithered box (or something similar) within the text box and then it would disappear as soon as the recipient starts typing? I know the other option would be to just state (optional) after the question - wanting to know if there’s a way to display it within the actual text box.
I’ve created a survey for an organization with which I am working and they have posted links to the survey on social media and in e-newsletters. Somehow BOTs got ahold of the survey. I realized this because my response rate took off like crazy, but the data made no sense for the text box resopnses. I keep getting completely random responses about every 5 minutes to the survey. I look at the location data and they are all coming from one place in CA, right outside LA. Is there any way to put in something that will stop the Bots so I don’t have to check the location data on every response to see if it is genuine? Thanks,Tiffany

Hello, I have made a survey for an assignment and one of the questions wont show up. The message says “Too much data to display - your filters may be too inclusive!”. I have tried to mess with the filters, but I don’t think I have any on. I have also tried to export the question as an excel sheet twice an a CSV once. It will not export. Does anyone know how to help?
Hello, I’m relatively new to Qualtrics so I am sorry if there is an obvious answer to my wonder... I have had numerous partial responses, many of these have been stopped thanks to CAPTCHA as they must be bots. However, I have numerous responses which were all started at the same time and have exact same qualitative response for a certain questions. However, they all have different IP addresses. In addition, other responses completed earlier share the exact same qualitative responses for certain questions. Any thoughts about how/why this may be happening would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

Hi, I’m working on a problem involving a drill down type of question. I would like to be able to have respondents pick their job title from a large list of possible occupations. The list is to large to fit on one menu. So my solution was to have a drill down set up where first respondents are asked what sector of the economy their job is in, then what level of training their job usually requires. This produces subsets of manageable menus that a respondent could choose from, like 10 to 20. However, to make this really work, I’d like to be able to have the drill down options on separate pages. How can I accomplish this? To put this in the language of the example used on the Qualtrics pages for drill down questions, I would like to have the R presented with the question: What Model is your car….. page break What make is your car page break What year is your car….I have been told that this may require some custom javascript programming so I’m wondering if anyone has tackled this. My data team and I are stuck- what does “File name pattern” mean in #5 of this section? It’s not just me being confused by this. Our data engineering team says this lacks context so I am wondering if anyone can help us figure it out. We intend to trigger all of our recurrent surveys from Snowflake ETL tasks, so this is mission critical for program success.
HelloI recently added some timing questions to my survey without realising they caused my custom javascript to cease functioning (I am assuming this as no other changes were made). However, after removing all the timing questions the code still doesn’t function. The code is supposed to take a value entered by the respondents and perform some functions upon the click of a button. These values are then displayed to the respondent. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix the problem. Thanks in advance.
I was just checking the cookies when a survey link is opened. I noticed that the cookie below was set and as value it seems as it just contains the survey link. QSI_HistorySessionAs described in the cookie statement, it is no strictly necessary one but a “performance cookie” to “count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site”. To track this cookie, Qualtrics would actually need to collect consent via some popup. However, Qualtrics does not have that. Is there any chance to avoid tracking the QSI_HistorySession cookie?
