Creating a Compatibility Test

Hello! I am a capstone student trying to create a compatibility test for my area of practice. I am new to Qaultrics but have watched several basecamp videos. Can anyone please help guide me in configuring a survey with a nominal result at the end based on respondents’ answers? I have previously tried the scoring option and it gives a numerical result. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Logging for the survey platform

We are a consultancy.  We have created a survey on behalf of a customer.  Now that the survey is completed, we have a requirement to delete all of the related data (contact lists, etc) from the platform.Is there any logging in the system that I can share with my customer that contact lists have been deleted?  Or a whole survey is deleted?

Custom validation not working in google map autocomplete

Hi guys, I am using autocomplete for an address question in my survey, datasource is google map. Just found the validation seems not working. Does anyone have the similar issue? I set custom validation with contains A. But I still pass without A.

Layout of PPT dashboard export

How do I re-open an expired survey and then resend the link?

Hi,Can somebody please help me with helping me to re-open an expired survey.  I have several people who haven’t yet completed the survey and when I checked the link to the survey to resend it to them again for completion the link took me to a page that said the survey had expired. I have gone in to ‘Survey’ then Options and I’ve changed the date of expiry and then tried to create a new link but it still sends me back the expired survey page. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. tks

Pick, Group and rank - how to refromatting answer box

Hi, On my survey I have a few pick, group and rank questions but the options do not always fit in the answer box. I used the following JavaScript to expand the size of this box: jQuery("#"+ this.questionId+" td.groupsContainerTd > div > div ").css("width","200%"); This has worked, but while the box has expanded, the title of the box hasn’t:Can anyone advise on how I can make the size of the answer box title match the rest of the box?Thanks.

Using javascript to read and update embedded data field | User case: Loop and Merge

Hi, When I use Loop and Merge in Qualtrics, I like to capture the ordering of the loop and merge for easy analysis. I also like to dynamically update (and print to the participant) the Loop & Merge round number. I’ve been using this code for a while but it suddenly does not work anymore. Prevent force response from triggering javascript

Hi all,I’m using javascript to select stimuli for participants. I have a single loop-and-merge question, which is run several times. Each time, a new stimuli is selected from a javascript list to be shown to participants.The problem is that I want to force responses but if the ‘next’ button is clicked without answering the question, the page reloads, the javascript re-runs, and anew stimuli is selected. The new stimuli isn’t shown to participants but it is stored as embedded data, which will render my results unusuable.Is there a way to ensure that the javascript will only be run when the participant successfully moves on to the next question? I tried moving the script to ‘addOnUnload(function()’ or ‘addOnPageSubmit(function)’ but neither of those solved the problem.This user:seems to have had the same problem but I’m afraid I don’t understand the answer there, so any additional information would be really helpful :)P.S. As a backup, I suppose I can add a new page between each question

Active Staff Filter

Edit: Both TERM_CODE and TERM_DATE are set as embedded data. I am working on cleaning up our directory for my school district. I have an SFTP setup and nightly upload of all staff. I’m trying to build a filter to see only active staff based on certain conditions. I have TERM_CODE and TERM_DATE fields, if they have a term code, they no longer work here and that is set to blank only in the filter. Regarding term date however, there are some with a future date for planned retirement, how do I filter out those that have a date in the past as of today (which will always be “today” to the system) and include those that have a future term date. There are some that have a term date, that also do not have a term code. So I can’t rely solely on that field due to past practices or lack of data entry. I thought this would get me what I want, but I still get staff that have term dates.

How to manage a JS code task with an embedded data that doesn't exist

Hello,I made a workflow with multiple calculation, based on embedded data, with a JS code task. My trigger is an Experience ID when any change happen for any contact.I have a issue when a embedded is missing for one contact. The task is getting on error. I understand why but I need to find something for contournate this problem. I’ve tried to check if the ED is null or undefined but nothing work. Large Grant Looking for Q-Sort and drop Down Menu Support

Currently, we are working on a large international survey with grant funding and was told that Qualtrics can provide resources in survey writing and data analysis that is superior to other forms we are used to (e.g. surveymonkey & google forms). We are working with a broad Q-sort structure in our surveys. Robert Guzman (the Qualtrics Product Specialist) said that we would need to get into the code or talk to support communities to find answers to our questions. We are hopeful you can help.We are making a survey question with multiple “topics” that we want the participant to sort into “buckets” (i.e. groups). We need the “topics” to expand when the participant’s mouse hovers over the “topic”. We also  (and here is the hard part) need to let the participant DEFINE the bucket WHILE they sort. If they define the bucket right after the sorting activity, that is fine as well, but we need the buckets to be associated with the definitions they give for the buckets. Close one branch in survey flow upon Close button

I’m building an intake form with a few different branches. A few will branch and redirect to URLs after clicking the “submit” button (I’ve renamed them for what they do, but they are the last button), the others will proceed to the intake form. And one will end after a dropdown selection and will have a “Close” button and I’d like it to automatically close the tab.I found this post but it sounds like that does it for ALL Submit buttons, and I only want it for this specific branch.

Display different progress bar for different branches

Without using custom HTML, is there a way to show different progress bars for two different branches in a survey? I have two groups of respondents for which branch A and branch B of question blocks are displayed. My current progress bar shows the percentage of completion for A+B questions even though group A will only see questions under branch A and group B, branch B.

Populate embedded value based on previous questions and csv data

Hi,I have a study that looks into population group sizes based on a participant’s reported state and county. I have a large csv which contains every US state and county combination with corresponding subpopulation values (let’s use group A, group B, and group C for now).After reading through examples, I am able to use the responses from a drill down to set the state and county as embedded values and feed these values into the next series of questions. As an fyi, the drill down question was copied from a previous study so it is not linked directly to the csv I have. What I am stuck on now is how to use the embedded state and county values to correctly filter the csv to set corresponding groups A, B, and C embedded values which will be piped into a text. If this csv is loaded as a contact list, is there a way to set embedded values without using an authenticator? Is there some clever JS workaround? Any advice will be welcome. Thank you for your help.

Anyone know how long it takes for a vanity domain to be deleted?

Hey everyone! Currently in the process of doing a last minute change to our vanity domain before we go live. It has been stuck on “deleting” status for the better part of 30 minutes now. Is this normal? I am thinking it might take up to an hour but wanted to at least get the discussion started just in case. Thanks!

Assigning participants into treatment groups based on percentage that answered yes/no to a prior question?

Hi All,I’m running a survey where our participants are asked a series of questions and then assigned to 1 of 2 vignette treatments. I’m trying to create a quota for who is assigned to which treatment based on how they answered Q1 (i.e. 50% of respondents who on Q1 answered ‘No’ and 50% of respondents who answered ‘Yes’ are assigned to treatment 1, and 50% of respondents who on Q1 answered ‘No’ and 50% of respondents who answered ‘Yes’ are assigned to treatment 2). Branching/Quotas don’t work for this type of issue.I hope that makes sense - any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Freeze first column in matrix table to reduce scrolling

Hi all,I can’t unfortunately access the link in the answer previously given to this question. I have company SSO enabled on my Qualtrics account.I have a fairly long 6 column side-by-side matrix table which doesn’t display easily/clearly on screen. Branch logic IF any statements are in Pick Sort category

Hi all, I’m building a survey that branches to different blocks depending on a Pick Sort Rank question. The four buckets I have participants sort statements into are a) heard of, b) tried to use, c) use, d) no longer use.I want to show a block if the corresponding bucket a) - d)  has at least one statement in it. Qualtrics support told me that I have to make a chain of conditional logic statements for each statement in the corresponding bucket. I have 45 statements and 3 or so blocks, depending, so I’d really really prefer not to.Is javascript the answer to my problems? PS I have no experience with it so if it is, please explain how to implement it like I’m 5 years old.Thank you!

Question label character limit

I am adding question labels to my survey questions. The character limit for question labels should be 20,000. However, it won’t let me add more than a few words! I’m far from 20,000 characters.  I just added numbers to explain what I mean. It won’t let me type more, it stops typing. Not sure why.

How to include answer details in an end of survey message?

Hey everyone!I’m slowly getting frustrated here 😅I want to set up a customized end of survey message that includes an clickable URL.based on the answers given.To be more specific, I need to include the answers of the questions as parameter into the URL:If  the answers to the question 1 is A, to question 2 is D and question 3 is E, the URL should end with “[...]?Q1=A&Q2=D&Q3=E”As the survey has many questions customizing it based on branches doesn’t seem feasible.Anyone knows how to do that?
