Is it possible to have "Incomplete Survey Responses" to record under 1 hour?

Hi all,I am wondering as to whether it is possible (via code or whatever) to set the Incomplete Survey Response timer to be less than 1 hour after a participant has edited a response - which is the minimum in the dropdown list? Thank you in advance.

How to make the Submit button larger and more obvious?

We have created a survey on Qualtrics. We have noticed that the Submit button at the end of the survey is ssmall, grey and inconscpicuous. Is there a way for us to make the Submit button larger and more obvious?I see that a similar question has been asked before and someone recommended the following, but I cannot see where and how I can paste this code:Paste the code at the very last question JS, change the css property values as required:jQuery("#NextButton").attr("value","Submit").attr("title","Submit").css({"background": "black",  "width": "300px",  "height": "60px","font-size": "35px",  "color": "wheat"}); Is there another way to do this?

Embedded data cannot be changed if it comes from a querystring

I import embedded data from a querystring   ?abc=9999.I want to validate this embedded data.If a value is wrong I wish to change it with JavaScriptQualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData(‘abc’, 123);This does not work, the value does not change.If I leave abc out of the querystring it updates OK.

Dashboard/widget filter - Relation between 2 dates

Good morning dear Qualtrics community,I am currently trying to create a filter for a new Dashboard but cannot find the right options to do so, maybe someone here had the same issue.In my embedded data, I have for some contacts a "contract end date". I need to create a date filter in relation with the date at which the respondent gave his answer:- Group 1 : contract end date before survey completition- Group 2 : contract end date after survey completion.I need this to differentiate active customers from past customers.Has anyone experienced an easy option in the dashboard, or do I need to go through a more complex variable creation process? Thank you for your help,Mathieu

Generating participant ID

I have a two part study. The first part is an online survey and second part is an in-person lab study. Based on how participants answer the survey, the lab study will differ. There are 4 different conditions. I want qualtrics to assign participants with ID (i.e. that is they can see the id and take note of it), so when they come to lab based on that ID participants will be put in a particular condition.So ID needs to be 3 digits. I want the first digit to indicate the condition and the second and third digits to indicate their number in that particular condition. So a 403 id would indicate that this participant is the third participant to be placed in 4th conditions.So what I have done I have used branch and embedded data. So based on how participants answer they are assigned to a particular condition (this is noted in the embedded data). So this looks like then if the branch condition is met, embedded data: Condition = 1. Now I want qualtrics to calculate the ID based on this. Let's s

Workflow: using question response to point to Google sheet tab

We have a survey that uses branches to take respondents to specific blocks of questions based on an initial question.  In other words, answer A sends respondents to block A, answer B sends respondents to block B, etc.  Using a workflow, survey results are exported to a Google sheet.  What I’m attempting to do is use a condition to direct the responses to corresponding tabs in the Google sheet.  So if one respondent answered A & completed the A block questions, their results go to the A tab, while someone who answered B & completed the B block questions has their results go to the B tab, and so forth.  I’m having trouble attaching the tasks and conditions.  Can someone help me some instructions or a link?  Thanks.

Does Open Rate Calculation Count Reminder & Initial Invite as One or Two Metrics?

Hello! I am trying to better understand Open Rates and how they are calculated. I understand that if a respondent takes a survey, we should get a response rate of 100%, and an open rate of 100%. However, if the respondent receives an initial invite (and DOES NOT open it), receives a reminder (opens it and DOES take the survey), will the open rate be 100% or be 50%?  I would appreciate some additional guidance and clarification around the Open Rate calculation. Site Feedback Intercept Button - Too Prominent / Obtrusive

Hi AllHope everyone is well.My Feedback button site intercept and survey is working well.On desktop I am happy with it…But on Mobile its just a little too prominent / obtrusive…How can I make the button on mobile better?  Possibly smaller or static? I think part of the problem is that it’s floating and can quickly obstruct mobile elements when scrolling.I did try using my own button but when imported the size did not change? Although I am unaware of the guidelines when using your own button. 🤔 As always thanks for the help from the community.👊

Skip logic

I have got a survey live to participants and they are participating every minute. I want to make a slight change at the end of my survey by adding a skip logic to a block. Does that delete any existing data from participants who took part already?

Hi,I want to include the URL for PDF document in post survey email trigger. From an old post, I see these instructions.1. In your project navigate to Data & Analysis2. Workflow to Opt-out

Hi all, I have a survey to send to a panel where I have multiple email addresses for some members of the panel, and I’m not sure which email address is more effective.  If I send an email to Ryan at both r@gmail.com and y@gmail.com, and they respond to r@gmail.com, is there a way that I can use the Workflow XM Directory task to opt-out the contact with r@gmail.com from the list?Assume that each panel row has the other email as embedded data. I know I can find the correct contact, but I’m not sure I can edit the opt-out status via the XM Directory task. Alternatively, there another workaround that I’m missing?Thanks!

Issues with Workflow triggers to update XM Directory causing duplicate records when switching from LDAP to Shibboleth authentication

I’ve encountered a frustrating issue with XM Directory workflow update triggers. I have a survey which authenticates users via SSO and allows the user to create a unique XM directory entry that can be called back in and updated over time. This has worked fine using LDAP SSO authentication, but all of a sudden it will not recognize the existing records in the XM directory once I switched the authentication to Shibboleth and creates a new record with each new submission, even though it is set to update existing records.Some important details:The survey uses an SSO authenticator associated with an XM Directory using Shibboleth to give that user access to the survey, but there is a second authenticator nested in the survey flow that associates with a different XM Directory, and this is the directory I am associating the survey content with. The idea is that an advisor logs into the form, but then they enter a student’s unique identifier to either create a record for them, or to call, edit,

problem retrieving referrer id on a website

Identifying ID of response option

I have javascript that someone in the community provided me to help me hide question response options within a drill down question. I am not a coder but have done a fairly good job of reusing the code until now.The first example is working. Error: Unable to connect to SFTP server for automations

I’ve been through all of the possible resolutions and I’m still not able to fix this problem. My directory automations were working fine until we changed Tech Directors in May and our SFTP host wiped all of his data. Our tech team was able to get in and add our files. We updated the password in Qualtrics automations, but nothing has fixed the error. I don’t understand the message saying “unable to connect” when all of our other automations are working fine now using the same host.Has anyone had similar issues that can help? Any other tips?

How can we easily capture sub-reasons in survey question builder?

Hi, We have a post support contact survey where customers select the reason for their contact such as billing, technical issue, quoting, claims, etc. To better analyze the feedback, we are interested in getting a level deeper, so for ‘billing’, is the contact regarding ‘upset about rate increase’, ‘not understanding bill’, ‘not receiving bill’, etc. Is there a way to create a survey question that is adaptable, so if customer selects ‘Billing’, it would display the sub-reasons beneath for them to choose a more granular reason without building a ton of display logic? Thanks so much for any help or insights.

Email Duplicates Confirmation Help :)

Hi EveryoneI hope you can help.I have a contact list that has been sent a survey.I now have a new contact list and it’s possible this list will have duplicates from the original list.Am I right in thinking, when I send the same survey to the new list, Qualtrics will automatically skip any duplicate emails that have already been sent the same survey?Thanks :)

XM Directory Task - record initial response in directory

Hi folks! I am creating a survey with a workflow XM Directory task. The idea is that once the respondent takes the survey for the first time, their information is added to a contact list. This survey is for feedback for an in-person service. People will be asked to scan a QR code and fill out the survey each time they visit the service. I want to be able to track their responses each time, and see how many times they have filled out the service, as there are limits to how many times they can access it. Hence, why I wanted them added to a contact list. But, I won’t be sending them personalized links, they will always be scanning this anonymous QR code. I was able to set up an authenticator, so that if they select the option “I have visited the service before” in the first question in the survey, they are asked to input their email/ID number and this then connects their response to their contact ID (rather than using a personalized link). This seems to work just fine. However, the issue

Survey export to word looks completely different

Hello,I am trying to export a survey to a word doc, but it looks completely different. The word document does not show half of the items I put in, instead showing generic blocks (e.g. “Text / Graphic Thanks for checking out the Qualtrics Surveys Question Walkthrough! “). It only does this for the word export. The pdf export looks perfectly normal. 😕

Back button - multiple pages

Is there a way of adding a button or editing the back button to skip back 2/3 pages and count how many times respondents click it? This is within the same block, and I’ve removed branch logic btw.

Export directory list or mailing list contacts to AWS S3

Is there a automated way to export directory list or mailing list contacts to AWS S3. Currently we are using Qualtrics API to export contacts to SFTP on weekly basis.
