Longer question text in a field name

I have a matrix table survey question with statements respondents agree or disagree with. I am using a simple table with a field group as the row dimension and a top box / bottom box for the selection. Some of my statements are getting cut off, around 100 characters. Is there any way to get the whole statement into the field name, or another way to get it to display?

Can I have two columns/matrix to display my questions?

! May I have something like the above? With one text description on the first column, and five questions on the second column in 5 rows? I tried to use the question type Matrix Table, but did not succeed. Any idea how to do this? Thanks!

Randomizing questions from two different blocks

For our survey, we have two different types of questions, each type contains 4 questions. Participants should see two questions of each type but in a randomized order. Is there a way two randomize questions from two different blocks? Or else, to have two randomized subsets in advanced randomization in one block?

Is it possible to manage this type of flow using Qualtrics Surveys and ticketing? Flow: 1. Teacher submits survey --> Admin Send Admin custom email message or ticket with concise details of survey. Send email to Teacher with copy of survey responses 2a. Admin - Deny - Send email back to teacher 2b. Admin - Approves --> Send email to Admin Assistant (CC) Admin - Approves --> ** Send email Attendance Office with details. Does anyone have a sample they could share? Not sure how this would work in the ticketing realm. Would the Admin have to reassign the ticket? Can you have branching within the Ticketing System?

How to allow respondents to report on multiple items?

Hi, I'm interested in building a survey that would allow respondents to report on as many products as they wish with the same set of questions, e.g. name, experience, etc. For example, you would have a default question block with the three questions, and after the respondent answers, the person can "add" another block to report on another product. I know I can have respondents fill out multiple surveys but I was wondering if there's a more elegant solution. Thank you!

Hi, I want to do the following, and wondered if any one has thoughts on it? 1. A button that allows me to click on 2. A pop up with a graphic when I click on it I solved 1, 2, but not the problems are 1. It briefly shows the graphic before I click the button. (Not supposed to see it before I click on the button) 2. Beginner question about Surveys and integrations

I am brand new to Qualtrics API so I appreciate everyone' patience with my boring questions but I am hoping to save me some time. Can you call the Qualtrics API and have it send out a specific survey to a distribution list of contacts\\emails? Is this done with one REST API call or do you have to use the Webhooks and listener? If you can provide a direction on this that would be great. Also a requirement for us is to have specific survey responses linked to our internal project numbers. So we have many different project numbers and we need to link survey's and survey responses to a specific project number on our end. What would you recommend as a best way to do this?

I'm a new user to Qualtrics, so this might be a basic question. How do I get the results of a text entry matrix table to display as a completed table in a report? I've attached a picture of a Record view which is exactly what I want. !

jquery removing default 0 in constant sum question causing answered to be erased when clicking back

I have a collection of constant sum questions which have a jQuery line (see below) removing the default 0 in the input box so that boxes appear blank. That works fine, but when in testing when you go backwards in the survey after answering these questions, the responses are wiped away and the boxes appear blank. We need to have these answers saved if/when a respondent goes back and revisits these questions. Any suggestions? line used: jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" li input[type=text]").val("");

Shared/collaborate surveys and account response limit

If another agency (other Qualtrics account) shares/collaborates their survey with my account, do the responses they receive for this survey count towards the response limit on my account? In other words, do I get charged for the responses on the survey they've shared with me? They are sharing the survey with me so I can help them with building their survey. Thanks!

Post Survey Analysis - Response Editing "Other" text to create a new hard-coded option

Scenario: A survey has been out in the wild and is now closed and being analyzed. It had a multi-choice question with an "other/text-entry" question. A significantly large enough number of respondents added the same value to the other/text-entry that should be graphed along side the hard-coded multi-choice questions. What is the workflow to make this happen? Is this as simple as editing the original survey to add the newly discovered option and then editing those identified responses or is there a better practice?

Adding the possibility of multiple "other - please specify" responses to a single survey question

Hello, I was hoping to get some advice about how to create multiple "other - please specify" text boxes in a survey I’m building. I searched in Qualtrics and here in the community but could not find any specific tips. For context, the survey question is the following: Which of the following vertebrate animals have you used for your own research during the past 5 years? (choose all that apply) Mice Rats Other rodents Cats Dogs Pigs Cattle, sheep, and/or other livestock other than pigs Ferrets or other weasels Non-human primates Opossum and/or other marsupials Rabbits Amphibians Fish Reptiles Other – please specify one animal per box What I tried to do was use display logic to add a new “other” with a text box to appear if the first (visible) “other” was checked. (In fact, I added 5 “other” fields this way.) However, it wouldn’t actually work the way I intended because the new “other” options wouldn’t appear, and it generated a warning in the survey. Restrict Changing Past Answers

Hi, I have a survey where respondents are allowed to move back to previous pages with questions. However, I would like to limit it such that certain responses to questions cannot be changed after the respondent has moved on, even if the respondent is allowed to move back to see his/her response. How to use external data in question text, randomise it and reuse it.

As a Qualtics novice with a deadline, I'm hoping this might be a simple problem (although searching support, community and Google doesn't seem to have helped); 1. I'm trying to pull in a list of external names (can do this from a file, or a string of data), and display one of these names randomly in the question text. 2. I then need to display that same name in further questions. Any help would be much appreciated.

Saving the EmbededDate which depends on the choice in a looping block.

Hi guys, I have a block that is looping and the number of loops depends on the subject's previous choices. I need to save the choice and the unselect options in the last loop. However, I do not know how to specify in the embeddedData. I am guessing the following: selected = ${q:// e://Field/loopnumber _QID696/ChoiceGroup/UnselectedChoices}' unselected = ${q:// e://Field/loopnumber _QID696/ChoiceGroup/UnselectedChoices}' Where ''loopnumber'' is en embeddedData telling me the number of the last loop, which is defined by a previous choice of the subjects. But it seems that qualtrics does not read a global variable inside a global variable. Anyone has a good idea? Many Thanks! Best, Rui

Producing a dynamic histogram

Hi everyone, for a research project, I am looking to implement a dynamic histogram as attached in Qualtrics. ! The goal is to have a histogram in which the participant can adjust the sliders to represent preferences/beliefs in which one should also be able to adjust the number of visible sliders. The original histogram was programmed by another team of researchers in a different coding environment. And while I have a basic understanding of JS, I am nowhere near proficient to get to this point by myself. I would greatly appreciate any pointers, code snippets or blue prints that I could use to obtain the needed result. Thank you!

How to display the starting value of a slider handle

Hello, I have used a Custom Start Position for a slider question – when one moves the slider bar, the numeric value is displayed and changes with the movement. However, I can’t make it display the numeric value just above the slider handle when the question is shown first, that is before one moves the slider handle…is there a way to have the numeric value shown just above the slider handle when one views the question (and before moving the handle)? Hi, Can I bulk export complete responses to survey? Or view complete responses in a dashboard widget? I used Qualtrics to make an application to a program and now I need to figure out the best way to review applications. I thought it would be obvious but it isn't (to me!) Thanks! Bo
