EX: Permanently hide whether an employee has participated

Tracking information on whether an employee has taken part in the survey or not is a grey area of data protection. Our aim here is to hide this information as much as possible or even make it completely inaccessible.

Error Message - What does it refer to?

Hi @HarryO87,this is a Qualtrics error message. Is there any JavaScript in your questionnaire (e.g. on your last question) that might cause problems?Are there any error messages showing up in the console of your browser? It’s probably best to get in touch with the Qualtrics Support.

'Hide' multiple choice question choices

If your aim is to swich individual choices on and off manually, you can indeed use display logic on the level of individual choices:  Just right-click a choice and choose “Add Display Logic ...”

The number 1234567 should be replaced by whatever you want to store in your Embedded Data field “CintID”. There’s some more information in this support document:Embedded Data (qualtrics.com)

Yes, the survey links.If your aim is to record the “CintID” from the URL, then the “CintID” has to be part of the URL that the respondents use to access the questionnaire. So for example:https://melbourneuni.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bmh1foSmx2ioDGu?CintID=1234567&OtherParameter=9876543(Or do I misinterpret your question?)

Looking at your last post, I’m not sure whether I understood your problem correctly.I thought you wanted to record the “CintID” (that you get via a URL parameter) in an Embedded Data field?

How to navigate to the survey builder page in my qualtrics account.

Clicking on the XM icon (top left corner) or choosing “Home” in the menu will bring you to the home screen.  The button for creating a new project can then be found at the bottom of the screen.

No, not while the respondent has not advanced to the next page (and the answers are saved).The JS code has to sit on this question?In the next question you would be able to access the (correct) recoded values.

There is no way (as far as I’m aware of) of changing the internal IDs of the answer choices. They are created in the order the choiced are added to the question. If you add a new choice afterwards, it automatically will get the next, unused ID - independent of where you add this choice.(That’s intended behaviour and ensures that adding a new choice will not break any other logic) You theoretically could use the recoded values (instead of the choice IDs), but those are not accessible before the respondent has progressed to the next screen.I can see two options for you:Use a value mapping in your code Delete the question and create it all over again - making sure that you add the 8 choices in the correct order

Hi @VJTM,the 8 is most probably the internal ID of that scale point. Did you insert it later? You can check the internal IDs in Support Mode.In the Survey Builder, Control-Shift-Click on ‘Tools’ and enable the Support Mode (last element in the dropdown menu).You should be able to see something like the following:

Response Ticker Widget default field selector not working

Hmm … it’s the same behaviour for me. But I don’t think that’s the entended behaviour. So in case no other user has a solution for this, you might want to get in touch with the Qualtrics support. As a temporary workaround:You can use the depricated, old version of the Response Ticker. In the old widget it works as intended.

Hi @DavidA1225,to the best of my knowledge, I don’t think that API tokens have to be enabled.They are just disabled automatically, when a new API token is created.  As for your original question:Do your users have the user rights to use / create API tokens?EDIT:My users see this, when API usage is not enabled for their account.

Incomplete vs Complete Responses

Hi @HarryO87,once the response is recorded (= 48 hours after Monday 9am), the respondent will not be able to continue the survey. They will be displayed an error message. In case you want to avoid that, you can set a higher threshold for partial completes.In my surveys, I basically don’t use this option. My respondents can resume the survey as long as the survey is active (= typically 2 weeks).

I guess you need to redirect to a dynamicly created new URL?(If it’s a static URL (= identical URL for every respondent), you could just use the redirect feature of the “end of survey” element) Edit:The out-of-the-box funtionality seems to even work with user-individual URLs. See here: 'Redirect to a URL' setting using embedded data piped text ONLY | XM Community (qualtrics.com)
