Hi Community!

I can't seem to change the Field Type of variables in a Data Project.

  • I have a standard ETL workflow that extracts all responses from a survey (CSV) and loads them in a Data Project
  • By default, during the ETL process everything is loaded as Open Text. Or at least everything seems to revert to open text when I inspect the workflow. I can assign a field type the first time, but when I trigger the WF it reverts to Open text.
  • In the Data Project, I want to assign Field types to all variables, for example dates, with the intention to load it as a source in a dashboard and match the variables of a survey
  • When I inspect the data fields of the data project, they all look like this (Open text)
  • I can change the field type and save, but soon after it reverts to Open text.Why?

to rule out a possible source of error: Are the data in your csv file in the correct format?

Hi @ManfredBM, well the data comes directly from a Qualtrics survey, and in the case of the format of Begindatum (StartDate), it's the format that Qualtrics uses. I couldn't change it if I tried. 

This is the first task in the workflow, placed in the survey itself. There isn't a way to adjust the type here, and in the next screen it seems to extract the date well (hope you can make sense of the Dutch) 😆
