@natmaxwell  I don’t see any APIs to update these SDS in Library. We have workflows to update imported data so SDS but with this new approach there seems no way to update SDS automatically on regular basis? Can you please suggest.

Hi @Miae12 - Indeed you can use standard progress bar with some customizations but in this case following would be bet approach:- Define two embedded variables before you block:- In survey Look & Feel→ General→ Header, place below script. This script will update value of “stage” variable after each screen. Question ${e://Field/Stage} out of ${e://Field/Total Questions}<script>Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function() { var currentStage= parseInt("${e://Field/Stage}") Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('Stage', currentStage+1);console.log(currentStage)});</script> This will show progress like “Question 2 out of 45” on top of screen but you can change position of this text using some css.Hope this helps.

Deleting Responses During Survey

@UCLA_Postdoc - You can simply delete data from that question and store that data in an embedded variable to be used for any personalized logic post question is asked. After that question block is asked, in survey flow you can redact data from that embedded variable.  For this script will look like below: -Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnPageSubmit(function() { var textEl = this.questionContainer.querySelector('textarea, input'); // Store value in embedded data then redact the value in the actual question Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('Weigth', textEl.value); textEl.value = '';});If you don’t want to store that information in embedded variable, you can either have that logic itself in javascript and set some kind of flag to be used in rest of the survey. Please note that embedded variables are easy to change data anywhere in survey whereas Question’s data can be modified only when that question is displayed on screen.

Ipad survey

@PeeyushBansal  - In summary: -Use anonymous link and Open it in browser. Put device on kiosk mode so consumer can’t switch that screen and can only play with survey. As already mentioned above in thread Have a JavaScript code in survey header which redirect survey back to original anonymous link in case there is no touch on device screen for 20-30 seconds. This will take care of end of screen also, so its fine even we don’t put additional redirect at the end of survey. Disable the survey setting “Allow respondents to finish later” so after each refresh, feedback is considered as new response

Possible to remove Block from Randomizer if it was already selected in previous question?

Hi @chanman202 I am not sure how mixture of randomize and non-randomize block will be achieved through that setup but if that's the way you want it, you can simply create a flag variable for each block to track if that is already asked. Like in below screenshot, “Block A” will be asked once only. You will have to put all of those blocks in individual display condition to stop repetition.

How do I enable two warnings for missed questions in a survey?

Hi @rchinjr - You can use “Request response” feature to warn respondent if they leave question unanswered but you can’t limit it to two times only. If you want something like that, you can create that setup in javascript.

How to auto close embedded window in a website feedback project

Aanurag_QC Thats right, it would work only if the responsive dialog box intercept has survey targeted in window or tab. If survey target is anything else which opens survey in iframe instead of window, this script wouldn't work. If target survey needs to be in iframe only, I would recommend to creating intercept and creatives individually instead of using guided setup as it don't give a way to place some javascript that we can run after intercept is displayed. I guess something like below would work for this scenario, haven't tried but just an idea--> In JavaScript that runs after intercept is displayed, have an event listener that hide the iframe on that evenin survey EOS message, call the event message to parent window.

VictorAV Default filter is what you get when you click on "Reset to Default". If you dont see "Reset to Default" it means currently what filters you do see are default filters.

Matt You can use another end point to update any attribute. Here is the end point: - https://fra1.qualtrics.com/API/v3/employee-directories/cx/import-participantsHere, is the detailed documentation. And yes, this is confusing as this end point is basically dedicated to employee directory, but it works perfectly for updating user attribute by just using "cx" in end point as shown above.Overall, you will have to use two API call- first to create user and second one to update attributes. Please note that unique identifier must be same in both API requests.

Wrestling with Workflow Code Tasks

thampson Code Task is not not same as javascript space available at question level, so those objects and functions don't work there. You can do all those calculations in Code task and return the desired data to pipe it in next webservice task to update the embedded data there using Qualtrics API.

Kennedy_Isip This is an old post, I was looking for something else and landed here. You may have already figured this out but wanted to share my approach as this may help someone else looking for similar approach. While creating user's through API you can assign few attributes based on their demographic. These attributes further can be used to assign them an role automatically in Qualtrics. A dashboard should be shared with that role and restrictions can be also placed while sharing. It mean initially, you will have to create role and share dashboard with that role and then based on the user attribute assigned by API, each user will be seeing desired pages and restricted data only.

How to set the audio continously play across the pages/blocks?

Multiple choice value with comma - Salesforce multi-select picklist integration

Chet An easier workaround I can think of is to have quotes in html of label and hide these quotes by styling. This way label would appear without  quotes in survey but in data we will have additional quotes.This way it would look like:"A, B,or C "There is an option in data export using which we can split response of such question in different columns. I am not sure if this is available in salesforce Task but may be helpful if it is there.

anabelac If you are using Qualtrics Timmer question type to show counter, you can simply place display logic on each question which checks submit time of previous page. This way question will be skipped in case of timeout.
