You can also use Branch Logic in the survey flow if the user has something that can be used from their contact.
the best way I’ve found to find something i’ve lost is, Account Setting → Qualtrics IDsThen from the “lost” survey’s link you can find the ID on the page which will give you the survey’s name.

Is this a single survey translated into multiple languages using the “Translations” section or separate surveys with each having its unique language?

Yes, the personal link maintains all the contact information you have on that user (without the user see it), including any embedded data you might want to include.
Have you tried using the new-ish simple layout?
You can pass data via a query string: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-flow/standard-elements/passing-information-through-query-strings/ Just add the embedded data to the survey flow.
Not a REGEX expert but you should be able to use it: $ is used to match the end of the string. and can be used like: “string”$so adam$ if you want to see is adam is the end.

In the survey’s versions, revert to the original. This should give you your old data back. To remove/change some of your screener choices you can use display logic on the individual answers so they never show (embedded data / recipient email = 1234), then you can add the new options without losing your original data.
