I am asking respondant to provide their email in the survey and i have saved it in an embeded data field. now i want to define a logic for qualtrics to everytime someone come in and put their email check if that emsil already exist and if the have filled the survey before. how can i define the logic for qualtrics to cross check the email field with the ones in that embeded data?

Yes, you can use an Authenticator in the survey flow.  Point the authenticator to the list and use email as the field.
