I have a question in my survey where the participant provides up to 8 names. And then I need to randomly select 1 of the names and have that name piped into the text of questions. The challenge is that a participant could provide only 3 names for example. So I need to randomly select a name from those 3 names, not all 8 text entries (since the other 5 entries will be blank). Can anyone help? Thanks!
I have a Code Task that assigns values from the survey to variables that I used to concatenate some text to send to another system. Hi! For my survey, I have 5 questions that I want the participants to be able to navigate in-between. So, I added a "previous page" button on these questions. However, I also want to record the time spent per question. This timer has to stop when a previous or next question will be visited, but when the participant comes back to the same question, the timer needs to add the additional time and not start over. How do I install this? I hope someone knows this :)

Hi! I’m trying to limit survey participants to those completing it on a computer, laptop or tablet. I don’t want the survey to be completed on a phone. If I use the Set Embedded Data / DeviceIdentifier option, and then branch for those whose device type is “Mobile”, will this also exclude those completing it on a tablet? Thanks!
I have a data set where I use data modeler to create a join from 5 surveys. The surveys are mostly identical but from 5 different entities/brands. I want to have one harmonized dataset an then export the newly added responses on a regular basis via API. Is there already or will there soon be an API for this? In the current API documentation I was not able to find anything. Any hint is much appreciated.
Hi XM Community, My collaborator and I have found a way to use Loop & Merge to implement an attention-based work task from psychology within a Qualtrics survey. In short, we have a 5 blocks, where each block contains a set of 300 images that are presented in a random order to the participant using Loop & Merge. It seems to work well in most ways EXCEPT that it seems to be the case that the lag on the survey gets longer and longer as the survey progresses. Has anyone else had issues with this? We assume it’s some issue where Loop & Merge caches some data and thus lags more, but that truly is just a guess -- does anyone who understands how Loop & Merge works in the backend have a hunch on what might be happening and how this might be fixed? I'm currently trying to create a survey in which respondents have to rate a design (image) by answering three questions. However, it is tedious to repeat the questions for every design (16 in total), but I also want to make the questions appear on the same page of the image. In other words, is there a way to make two blocks appear on the same page or is there another way to do this without repeating the questions numerous times. Thanks in advance.

Hello!I’m starting a 2nd round of interviews for an Analyst to join my team. Both candidates say they have experience building dashboards and turning data into stories. In the past, I’d have candidates share a prior project/study they’ve worked on and present it to me so I can see how they represented and displayed the data, how they spoke about it, how they answered my questions, etc. Our hiring process has changed so I’m only able to ask questions and I’m not able to do any sort of assessment or ask to see their work. I welcome any and all suggestions on how I can really drill into their experience in a conversation without seeing examples. Thank you! Carrie
I’ve been working on a check in form for large events where desk staff can select a person’s name from a dropdown and submit it to check them in, but if there are subsequent attempts to check that name in, it ends the survey and says they are already checked in.There are hundreds of names, so managing display logic for every name is not feasible. What I am attempting to do is to set the selected name as embedded data (“SelectedGuest”), record that name as the External Data Reference field in a contact list through an XM Directory trigger, then call that field back in through a pre-fill authenticator using that contact list where if it passes (if the name is already on the list), it pulls that External Data Reference field into the survey. Then, I use a branch that says “if embedded data field “SelectedGuest” is equal to the imported embedded data field “External Data Reference”, branch to an end of survey message that says they were already checked in.This works great on the first and
Hello! I’m trying to embed an external website into qualtrics survey using iframe. I tested the external website using iframetester.com , and it works fine there.However, when I embedded the website in my survey using html, it shows error. I also tested using “https://www.wikipedia.org/” but it also shows error… so I think it’s not the issue with external website, but more of the issue on my qualtrics survey/account?
